I just read a new fic that comes off as unrequited byler at first, but it ended up being a trick by vecna. Basically all of Will and Mike’s major moments were changed slightly in Will’s memories, to give the impression that Mike definitively didn’t feel the same about Will in any of the moments between them in the past seasons.

And all I could think while reading it was WOW this is probably how milkvans think the show is framed and how they also think it’ll go down in s5…

It just goes to show that their interpretation of things being that it’s apparently so obvious that Mike is in love with El and has no feelings for Will, doesn’t track at all with what we actually see in the show..

Another reason I enjoy reading milkvan fics for fun bc it just comes off OOC and it’s so abundantly clear that they’re having to create completely new characters in order to fit with what they want to believe.
