applied for the research director job!!! cross your fingers for me!!!! 

#pretty happy with the cover letter i think #i guess it's not HUGELY different from the older version but #i think it just flows better and is a bit more specific #and now i have a good mentoring-specific paragraph i can swap in/out in other letters #downsides of this job: i think i'd have to be back in-office five days a week (though i'm curious about whether it'd be relatively self-set) #and it'd be a 13k paycut unless i can somehow negotiate a bit higher #and i'd have to find full time childcare eventually #but it's still over my 'mandatory minimum salary so i won't be freaking out about childcare costs' number #and idk being at home is fine but i LOVE being on campus #i think the best version would be if there turned out to be some hybrid flexibility within the job but #even if i have to commute i still think it's worth it #i'm so excited about the job itself aaaaaaaa
