Idk I just think it’s very cute that Yokoyama wants the fans to use their imaginations to come up with their own subtitles for y8. Like here’s this thing he and his team are so proud of, and he believes the story is going to really resonate with folks, and he wants fans to think about that story and title it how they wish. That’s really cool and really unique

Like obviously most of us are still gonna use shorthand in day to day conversation and tags. We’re all gonna call it Yakuza 8 or y8 or LaD8. But it’s neat to look at a work of art and interpret it in such a way as to renaming it, and then being encouraged to share that name with the people who created it
