I have this kinda funny image of Astarion having a "if it isn't the consequences of my own actions" moment and completely bemoaning his lack of impulse control and one of the other party members goes

"Astarion, your impulse control is on the other side of the country"

And if they know Astarion's backstory and aren't being a dick on purpose they can then go
