PSA - I’m not an expert on everything in the world, and I don’t claim to be. Revolutionary history is not in my bailiwick, so its entirely possible anon is right about those dates and is absolutely accurate.

But what is also accurate is that anons popping in peoples’ inboxes to pick apart every detail of posts made by high profile black bloggers on this site, that while semantically accurate, in no way address the actual spirit of a thread or the intended point ...(ie, in this instance the exact dates of the respective revolutions don’t mean that there wasn’t a lot of revolutionary ideas and gradual groundswells of movement happening BEFORE the ‘official’ start dates cited by history - in primarily white-written textbooks - in which case, OP’s point about French revolutionaries taking notes from early Haitian revolutionaries’ ongoing attempts to build momentum to an actual revolution might very well still be true in spirit...again, I don’t profess to know for sure myself, but I’m probably going to look into it more now, if only because hey, I can always stand to read up more on the Haitian revolution.)

Anyway, my point is....what just happened here, its a thing. Its a thing that happens A LOT, and its a thing that’s called antiblackness. Because it only fucking happens to the degree that it happens, when people are ‘tired’ of black bloggers being highly visible and influential while talking about the racism they experience daily, and how its affected their lives going back generations before any of them were even born.

Black bloggers call you guys out on that shit all the time. I’m not saying anything you haven’t already been told a hundred times and just chosen not to see, so don’t follow up with some BS about how you don’t know what I’m talking about or how I came to that conclusion, your motives were pure, you just like Facts.

Its a thing, its a pattern, its transparent, and I AM NOT HERE FOR IT. This is NOT the blog to try that bullshit on, I promise you I will side with the black bloggers you’re trying to discredit EVERY SINGLE TIME.
