Is JJ gone??? I though just Dylan was leaving this season (which I was fine w bc I think he’s a bit boring after season 1). ALSO I agree that 4 fell flat and I firmly believe it’s bc they lost the little kid actor. Vinnie’s relationship with his son and his relationship with Erin through that was, like, the heart of the show, so without it it was a lot less emotionally impactful. I thought.

I haven't watched the new season, but that's what people are saying.

Tyler not being in it was definitely part of it, but also it just felt forced, a lot of the Vinnie introspection. Like Joe had ran out of juice from his well of personal anecdotes. I stop watching like 3 episodes into s4 so I wouldn't know if that feeling improved.

Hope Joe finds another project, or maybe just chills out and becomes a mountain man for awhile until he's ready to get back into things. But yeah, Brassic ain't what it used to be.

I'm really lost on when is it mentioned that Gary's gay? I watch the show without subtitles so maybe that's why but I can't believe I missed that😭

It’s never stated outright but in either the last or second to last ep of s1 you find out he’s dating terrence mccann’s son steven (theres that whole debacle with the gang stealing the car that had mccann’s antiques that steven stole and used garys car for. when they tracked down the owner thats how vinnie found out. steven tells vinnie how he cant sell him out to terrence bc he’s supes homophobic) and as of the end of s3 gary says they’re still together and they still hate his dad lol

i like that it’s just a casual addition to the story without it being a “hey look we did a representation!!” thing u know? if anything it was like “wait someone dates gary??” cus hes chronically unpleasant

Ok here's a theory I'm gonna throw out there. If you haven't finished S3 of Brassic then look away now.

I think Erin's monologue in episode 5 about why his mother left and didn't contact him is meant to foreshadow her own feelings in episode 8 and maybe S4?

Gonna be real we don't need more Brassic. Season 3 was such a good ending, it doesn't feel the same with McCann gone. S4 was meh, we don't need another one. I get that it was Joe Gilgun's passion project but even he seems less enthused by it. Idk.

Oh really? I thought he seemed better than he'd been in the past and chalked it up to the fact they're filming S4 atm. I think he's very proud of Brassic at least and am hoping all the positive feedback about S3 will give him further reassurance. But yea, I won't pry.

Oh yeah he definitely seems a lot better I just get the feeling from a couple of interviews that a lot of personal stuff has changed for him, especially with him bringing up that he has BPD, so I imagine he might not want to promote S3 as much since I think a lot has changed for him since it was written (and therefore will probably change for the show since it's about his own experiences). Idk I don't like talking much about the lives of people I don't know though it seems weird it just seems relevant to how the show progresses and how it's promoted given, yaknow, what it's based on.

I'm over it, I think I can go back to actually enjoying brassic especially since I have a gut feeling s4 will be the last season and I can't spend the whole time wallowing over someone doing something that in the scheme of things isn't really the worst thing I've ever seen a celebrity I like do. Cause fuck, that show has gotten me through a lot.
