Gulliver's Travels
Dissatisfied at his job in the mail room of a local newspaper, Lemuel Gulliver decides to impress journalist Elle Benson by becoming a writer. He convinces her he could write an essay about maritime legends, and Elle presents Gulliver with the task of joining an expedition traveling to the Bermuda Triangle to investigate stories of paranormal phenomena. Upon arriving in Bermuda, Gulliver joins the team as they rent a ship, the Albatross, and travel into the triangle. The Albatross is caught in a storm. and Gulliver is washed overboard and lost, along with some of the team's supplies. He washes up unconscious on the shore of Lilliput, where Princess Gabatia, or "Gabbi" for short, stumbles across him and rushes back to the palace to warn her father, Emperor Golbasto Gue, who is currently concerned with the current war against Blefuscu.
After informing Gue, Gabbi and General Limnoc lead a mob to the beach to capture Gulliver. After he briefly regains consciousness, the Lilliputians manage to drug Gulliver before tying him to a wagon and conveying him to Lilliput's capital city, Mildendo. Gulliver awakens again and breaks himself free, terrifying the Lilliputians. The Blefuscuian fleet arrives at Lilliput and starts firing upon the castle. Seeing Gulliver, the Blefuscuian Emperor, Alecan Bardandio, orders a hasty retreat. Realizing that Gulliver can be their ally in the war, the Lilliputians start treating him with hospitality.
Back in Blefuscu, humiliated by his defeat, Bardandio orders his three spies in Lilliput - brothers Iruk, Niruk and Sanun - to find a way to dispose of Gulliver. As Gulliver is treated to dinner by the Lilliputians, the spies scour the items from the Albatross, selecting a speargun as their weapon. The next day, Gabbi tells Gulliver of her unwanted, upcoming marriage to the son of High Admiral Skyresh Bolgolam, Sir Moncoel. The spies' hideout catches fire, and Gulliver uses the water from a nearby river to put it out. Sanun, noticing Gabbi, begins to fall for her, lying about his affiliation and heritage in order to pursue a relationship with the princess. Later, Secretary Reldresal reveals to Gulliver the reasons for the war, a debate about which end of an egg to crack. When Gulliver voices his criticism, Bolgolam convinces Gue to banish Gulliver to the "forbidden island" of Brobdingnag for treason; Gue does so with a heavy heart.
Gulliver sails on a raft to Brobdingnag, inhabited by giants, where local peasant girl Glumdalclitch gives him shelter. Upon being informed of the banishment, an unsatisfied Bardandio orders the spies to take a hostage to lure back Gulliver while planning to attack Lilliput at dawn. Iruk and Niruk discover Sanun's infatuation with Gabbi and kidnap the princess, exposing the remorseful Sanun's lies. Witnessing this and learning of the coming invasion, Reldresal warns the Lilliputians before sailing to Brobdingnag to inform Gulliver. Together, Gulliver and Reldresal return to Lilliput just as its army is marching to the beach.
As the Blefuscuian fleet approaches Lilliput, Gulliver demands they lay down their arms and settle matters peacefully. When they continue fighting, he draws the Blefuscuian ships to shore by their anchors, invulnerable to the cannonballs being fired at him while saving those who fall overboard to show he means no ill will. At the same time, Sanun, carrying the captive Gabbi, is separated from his brothers as they prepare the speargun. A betrayed Gabbi berates Sanun, but he reassures her that he genuinely loves her. They arrive at the cliffs to see Iruk and Niruk aiming at Gulliver. Just as the spies fire, Gabbi and Sanun divert the spear, both falling to their apparent deaths in the process. Using this to illustrate his point, Gulliver reprimands both Lilliput and Blefuscu for their senseless fighting. While they solemnize a truce, Gabbi and Sanun emerge onto the shore, alive. Overjoyed, Gue cancels her engagement to Moncoel, and both sides thereafter bid Gulliver farewell as he departs, to be found by the US Coast Guard. Sometime later, Gulliver, now a travel writer and novelist, takes Elle to lunch after returning from another travel assignment.
