1-10 for weaver 💞💞💞💞
1. What is/are your OC’s nickname(s) and how did it come about?
She doesn’t really go by any? Does Jura calling her “Young Weaver” count?
2. What is the color of your OC’s eyes/hair/skin?
Weaver is a brunette with hazel (closer to brown) eyes!
3. How tall is your OC?
5′7″!
4. What is a noticeable physical attribute of your OC?
Her fashion sense is most likely to make herself noticeable since it connects back a lot to her profession. Wearing vines and flowers like they’re actual pieces of jewelry makes her stand out adlkjfdsakldf
5. What does your OC normally wear? What would your OC wear on a special night?
A huge fan of anything flowy, especially long skirts and dresses, bonus points for flower prints and/or a slit up the leg. Also enjoys a jumpsuit. For a special night, she’ll go all the way and bring out the nice nice gowns.
6. What is one word you would use to describe your OC’s appearances?
Tbh she just feels ethereal sometimes.
7. Does your OC have any markings, such as a birthmark or a scar?
Her guild emblem is on the right side of her waist, but other than that, nothing major. She’s had very light scars from wandering the forests as a kid, but they’ve faded so she’s the only one who could really pick up on them now.
8. How does your OC talk/what does your OC’s voice sound like?
Weaver has a slight accent when it comes to certain phrases and words, picked up from her mom who grew up outside Fiore. Overall, her voice typically is very smooth and soothing.
9. What does your OC’s bedroom look like?  His/her living area?
Covered in plants and big windows to let in the natural sunlight to wake her up, honestly probably something pretty close to this pin but I’d imagine the room a little wider? I don’t have anything too specific about the living room that I feel able to explain, except that the house has a window seat that overlooks the river running near the house, just a tidbit I really like.
10. What does your OC keep in a special drawer?
Well, the first thing that came to mind is her storage of seeds and herbs for work, she’d want to keep those separate from what she uses for regular gardening (I feel like she has a story there lol).

Spring shopping  is all we can think about right now, and if you...
Tumblr media
Spring shopping  is all we can think about right now, and if you live in New York, it’s also what you’ve been dreaming about ever since winter hit. The weather in this fickle city is finally starting to shift and with temperatures rising and flowers blooming, the only thing left to do is buy a festive seasonal wardrobe to match. While the runways and Instagram are places we regularly draw sartorial inspiration from, sometimes it’s a quick fix at Zara that does just the trick.
In New York, there’s a Zara in essentially every neighborhood and considering how much time we (NYC dwellers) spend on foot, it's common for us to “stumble” into the fast-fashion retailer for a little pick me up. Curious what we’re adding to our carts this season? I reached out to a handful of some of the most stylish fashion editors in New York to find out what each are eyeing and buying from Zara for spring 2019 . Since these women have an extreme pulse on nearly everything in this industry, I figured having them spill the contents of their Zara shopping carts could help you discover some product you might not have otherwise batted an eye at.
From the perfect basic tank top to an on-trend tie-dye skirt, check out what New York’s most stylish fashion editors are buying this spring from Zara and why.
“Having a really big love for knitted sweater pants lately; they’re so easy to style up and down. These are simple enough where you could style them with a sweater and it might even look like you’re wearing a matching set.” “Kelly green! It’s a color that I’ve always been afraid to try, but spring seems like a good time to introduce this color to my closet.” “Love these cute sparkling hair clips! They remind me of middle school in the best way possible.” “I recognize that I’m about two years late to the trend, but I am very into blazers this spring. This is a good starter blazer for me before I dive into the crazier more colorful ones.” “I’ve been looking for more sophisticated ways to incorporate the tie-dye trend into my wardrobe and love the subtlety of this floaty skirt. Perfect for work.” “Okay, I don’t have any beach vacations planned yet, but when I do I want to bring along this tiny shell bag.” “Every year I pick a lightweight slightly sheer cotton top to pair with jeans for the spring and summer. This year I have my eye on this pretty embroidered style.” “After months of searching for the perfect boot, I’m pretty sure I’ve found them. The sculptural heel and cream hue make them feel especially fresh for the coming months.” “I’m headed to Coachella this year, and all I want to wear is a colorful crochet dress. It’s easy, effortless, and fun all at once.” “This will make for a perfect bathing suit coverup for summer trips.” “I would wear these with jeans and a T-shirt any night of the week.” “Is it just me, or is this white tank top particularly wonderful?” “All spring season, the runways introduced the new suit—the short suit. So I feel like it’s my duty to test it out. This light blue textured set it the perfect way to ease your way into the trend."  "A crochet knit dress is definitely on my buying list this season, and I am obsessing over this colorful one, not to mention, it will definitely be the most colorful thing I own.” “Shells are everywhere – from earrings to necklaces to shoes and now bags. I really don’t think there’s such a thing of having too many shells this spring.” “Hawaiin prints, cheetah prints, floral prints. Need I say more?” “During warmer seasons, I tend to prefer modest silhouettes over shorts and skirts. I’m more traditional in a sense where I love to wear pants year-round. Bonus points if they’re loose, effortless, and casual.” “I’m a slave to mules and have yet to jump on barely there ‘90s sandal bandwagon (it’s just so much exposure!). This optic white pair with a sculptural heels feels like a more wearable version with more support around the toes. I plan to wear these with everything from low-slugs denim to dresses and midi skirts for summer."  "As you can see, my new go-to sandals pair perfectly with this nude knit dress, which, in my opinion, is crazy-chic.” “I want to step up my necklace layering game this season by mixing in some color. This bead and shell version will stand out against my delicate pendants and chains.” “I’m coming up on my ninth year in Manhattan (one year away from becoming an official New Yorker!), which means I can’t quite give up black in the summer. This flowy midi skirt is my perfect style with a tank top in warm weather. The natural details keep it from feeling out of touch in the sunny season.” “An oversize blazer is the perfect lightweight jacket to throw on over a dress, jeans and a tee, and more.” “Wedges are officially back. Living in New York in the summer means lots of walking in lots of heat. These low-to-the-ground wedges are perfect for all my summer city needs.” “I’m a sucker for trends, and tie-dye is one I’ve been anxious to dive into come spring. I love this midi dress because it’s both festive and sleek.” “It might just be me, but a good cropped T-shirt sometimes seems hard to come by. I love this simple white version. The neckline, crop, and fit look just right.” “Sporty sandals are another trend I’m more than ready to wear this season. I love the contrast of pairing them with a cool suit or a frilly dress.” Next up, shop the 25 Zara items that will be everywhere in seven days.

How To Style Your Favourite Kurtas In Winter
As soon as the cold winds start blowing, we stow away our kurtas in the corner of the closet and bring out the trusty old jeans, tee and jacket combo to stay warm!
But this year, forget about reserving this summer essential for, well, summers.
With the right styling tips up your sleeve, you can flaunt your ethnic side even in the winter chills without getting the goosebumps! And since wintertime is the wedding season in the country, you may even find the secret to staying toasty and still looking glamorous AF sans the sheer sequined saree.
So, ladies, allow us to show you how to style the kurtas you love in the season of steaming mugs of hot chocolate and all-night long parties!
1. Jacket It Up
Instagram
Heading out for an occasion for which the invite says, ‘Ethnic only’? Then put that saree back in and take out your favorite Anarkali kurta! Whether it’s made of flowy georgette or raw silk, your floor length Anarkali still has the power to look great in winters. All you have to do is jacket it up! A waist-length ethnic jacket or a long cape will effortlessly add a dash panache to your outfit, keeping you cozy at the same time.
Looking for inspiration? We suggest you take a leaf from Raveena Tandon’s lookbook. Her black embroidered cape jacket with a floor length Anarkali kurta gets brownie points from us for being comfy and stylish at the same time!
2. Put Your Chicest Foot Forward With The Kurta Dress
Instagram
Sometimes you’re just in the mood to flaunt a cool Indo-Western look but the winter season deters you from doing that. It doesn’t have to anymore as kurta dresses are here and they’re ready to rule winter fashion! If you haven’t got one yet, go ahead and invest in one already!
This versatile piece can be teamed up with either leggings or palazzos when you haven’t shaved your legs and can even be slipped on as a pretty dress for when you want to look ultra-feminine! We suggest you pick a kurta dress with a dainty flower print and match it up with a sharp blazer to achieve a laidback yet classy look à la Sonam Kapoor. Suede loafers and a trendy shoulder bag complete the look.
3. Go Completely Ethnic With The Quintessential Shawl
Instagram
One of the most underrated items in any girl’s wardrobe is the humble shawl. Easy to drape, this piece of clothing can be styled in so many ways that you’ll end up achieving a new look every time you try it!
Besides that, what’s great about shawls is that they look like the epitome of simple sophistication when teamed up with a kurta. Whether it’s an embroidered Kashmiri shawl you bought on your last trip or the shiny silk one in your mum’s closet that you have been waiting to steal!
So, if you’re off to a soiree or even a romantic dinner date with your bae, pair your long kurta with matching palazzos and a soft delicate shawl to look as fresh and easy on the eyes as a dewdrop. Keep your makeup and accessories light too to get that ultimate romantic, dreamy girl look.
4. Throw In A Belt
Instagram
The problem with loose flowy kurtas is that they allow too much of air circulation, giving you the chills if you try to pull them off in winters. But if you belt them up, what you get is a warmer, cozier kurta with a rather stylish twist! And when it gets too cold, simply throw on your trench coat or belted cardigan over your kurta to get heads turning your way. A belt is also a great way to highlight your waist (if that’s your biggest asset) and to add a contemporary flair to an otherwise traditional outfit.
Extra bonus tip for this style? We recommend you do this with floor length kurtas only as it can look awkward with shorter ones. Also, a lace belt with a solid plain kurta can give it an instant feminine and elegant makeover!
5. Layer It On The Lower Side With A Skirt
Instagram
When trying to pull off a kurta in winters, most of us think of layering the upper half of the body and totally forget about the lower half! Well, layering the lower half is as important as many of us ladies feel cold in the legs too. Here’s where the skirt comes to the rescue!
A full-length skirt is the easiest way to hide a warm pair of legging underneath and yet look like a million bucks! If you don’t know how to pull this outfit off, take a look at Aditi Rao Hydari’s simple white and silver skirt and kurta ensemble to get inspired!
So, who said you have to be an old auntyjee to wear kurtas in winter? Try out these looks, and we’re sure you’ll be able to carry them off with élan.
