The more I learn about the setup of Monmouth the less I judge Adam for his absolute refusal to live there. He goes to get something from the fridge? Someone’s pissing right next to it. Has to go somewhere at night? He has walk past Gansey sleeping bc his mattress is in the middle of the fucking main room. Bedroom? Literally haunted. I too would have snapped after about a week of that.

Something about how in chapter 4 of trc Adam is insecure about the fray on his second hand sweater, and how it's a symbol of his background and insecurities, and how most people don't notice it, and if they did, they didnt think better of him for it

And how Blue saw it immediately and it was something she liked about him, a girl too good at seeing the vulnerabilities of other people, but Adam didnt want someone to see his insecurities, didn't want someone to acknowledge that life

But Gansey did. Gansey needed someone to see him at his worst and love him for it, and blue did that

And how Adam needed someone to see him at his most unruly, and encouraged that

And Ronan makes Adam loud

A parallel that I just discovered in trc:

In trb when Gansey searches for Ronan and finds him in the church at nighttime, Gansey tries to wake Ronan up, and he worries for a moment that he is too late and Ronan is dead and his body will only wake up because Gansey told him so.

And then in trk when they finally find Glendower, Gansey IS too late and Glendower IS actually dead. And Gansey tries to command Glendower to wake up but it doesn't work, and this time the person Gansey tries to wake up stays dead, and his worry is actually true this time.

The foreshadowing in these books is absolutely insane
