my partner has no job. best friend from ny (bffny) has been up my ass about it; they found out I’d been wearing my contacts too long bc I couldn’t afford new ones, and gave me a whole spiel about my partner being inadequate and not taking care of me

well yesterday, bffny threw out their back after already struggling with back issues. they needed to go to the hospital. their partner took 5 hours to get home, then convinced them to wait until morning, THEN LEFT THIS MORNING and went back to work without ever taking bffny to the hospital.

my partner may be unemployed, but they are emotionally available AND would absolutely drop everything to take me to the fucking hospital? like ik it can look like im with a “deadbeat,” but at least my deadbeat actually cares about me?????
