10 AMAZING AYURVEDIC TREATMENT TECHNIQUES TO HEAL NATURALLY
Tumblr media
Since ancient times people’s imaginations have been attracted by ayurveda, an Indian ancient medical way. In essence, Ayurveda offers holistic view of wellness that regards the interconnection among the body, soul, and mind.
One of India’s vibrant towns is Vadodra and it is known for offering genuine Ayurvedic treatment that is conducted under its leading banner Ayurvedic Hospital In Vadodra.
1. Panchakarma:
Perhaps the best example of Ayurveda is a detoxification therapy called Panchakarma which purifies and revitalizes the body by removing harmful factors. It is a procedure that involves vomiting, purgation, nasal irrigation, cleansing of the bowels, and blood cleansing.
The procedure is done at Ayurvedic Hospital in Vadodara to flush out toxins and bring balance to the three doshas (i.e., humors) in the body.
2. Abhyanga:
It refers to abhyanga, which is a therapeutic full-body massage with medicated oils. Some of the best Ayurvedic doctors argue that it promotes blood circulation, relieves joint pain, and gives your skin a beautiful luster.
3. Shirodhara:
A peaceful therapy involves pouring some warm oil slowly into one’s forehead. It also reliefs stress and anxiousness and promotes complete relaxation.
4. Marma Therapy:
Much like acupuncture, it entails the stimulation of certain energy points or zones within the body. A skilled Ayurvedic doctor in Vadodara would employ this technique so as to remove the blockage of energy and enhance the body’s healing potential.
5. Basti:
Basti is a rectal administration method used in which medicated oils or decoctions are inserted through the rectum. It also helps those suffering from digestive problems or joint aches.
6. Nasya:
Nasya is a treatment that applies medicated oils and powders through the nasal passage. Those suffering from sinusitis, migraines, or chronic colds find it quite handy.

Instead of oil, which is common in a normal massage technique, Udwarthanam makes use of herbal powder. It is an excellent treatment for obesity, skin problems, and cellulitis for exfoliating and feeding the skin.
8. Swedana:
Swedna is a kind of herbal sweat bath that opens the pores of the body. It eliminates toxins and is used in tandem with other therapies like Abhyanga for optimal results.

10. Raktamokshana:
Raktamokshana is a remedial procedure for removing impurities that are in the bloodstream and the body at large.
Though many today would view such practice as abnormal, there may be appropriate instances when an expert can recommend its use given some specific conditions.

The best Ayurveda practitioner administers the treatment in a natural healing manner without side effects.

Tumblr media
Eye health is essential for maintaining overall health and well-being. Eyes are complex organs that allow us to see and interpret the world around us, and maintaining good eye health is crucial for maintaining our quality of life. The Best ophthalmologist in Vadodara at Aadicura Superspeciality Hospital, stress on several reasons why eye health is necessary:
● Vision: The most obvious reason why eye health is necessary is to maintain good vision. Our eyes allow us to see the world around us, and without good vision, many aspects of daily life can become difficult or impossible.
● Safety: Good eye health is also necessary for safety. Many jobs and activities require good vision to be performed safely, such as driving, operating machinery, and playing sports.
● Quality of life: Maintaining good eye health is important for maintaining quality of life. Being able to see clearly and comfortably can greatly enhance one’s ability to enjoy life, participate in activities, and maintain independence.
● Early detection of diseases: Eye health is also important for detecting early signs of other health conditions. Many diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and even some cancers can be detected through an eye exam.
● Emotional well-being: Good vision is also important for emotional well-being. Being able to see clearly can help to reduce stress and anxiety, and improve self-esteem and confidence.
● Productivity: Eye health can affect productivity; people with good eye health are more likely to be able to work effectively and efficiently. Clearly one must understand that overusing your delicate eyes over digital gadgets has no direct correlation to being productive. Yes please read this again — and understand this.
Preventing eye disease and preserving vision is crucial for maintaining eye health. Regular eye exams, healthy eating, and exercise are all key ways to maintain good eye health. Other preventive measures include not smoking, wearing protective eyewear, protecting eyes from UV radiation, and monitoring for symptoms of eye disease.
Some of the most common eye diseases are cataracts, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome. These conditions can cause vision loss and blindness if left untreated. Regular eye examination by the best Eye doctors in Vadodara, can detect these conditions early, which can help to prevent vision loss and preserve vision.
In addition to regular eye exams, there are many other steps you can take to maintain good eye health. These include:
● Eating a healthy diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables, which contain important vitamins and minerals for eye health.
● Wearing protective eyewear, such as sunglasses, when spending time outdoors to protect your eyes from UV radiation.
● Exercising regularly to promote overall health and well-being.
● Do not smoke. Smoking is known to increase the risk of developing certain eye diseases.
● Monitoring for symptoms of eye disease and seeking medical attention if any symptoms are noticed.
Overall, eye health is essential for maintaining general health and well-being. By taking steps to preserve our vision and prevent eye disease, we can ensure that we maintain good eye health for many years to come.
It is important to note that it’s not just adults that need to take care of their eye health; children also need regular eye exams to detect any issues early. Eye health is important for children’s academic and social development, and it’s essential to detect any vision problems early to prevent them from affecting the child’s development.
What factors affect Eye health?
Several factors can affect eye health, including:
● Genetics: certain eye conditions, such as glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration, tend to run in families
● Age: as we get older, our risk of developing certain eye conditions increases
● Medical conditions: conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can increase the risk of eye problems
● Lifestyle factors: smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and poor diet can all negatively impact eye health
● Exposure to UV radiation: prolonged exposure to UV radiation from the sun can increase the risk of cataracts and other eye problems.
● Eye strain which can be caused because of digital devices
● Lack of sleep
● Poor nutrition
● Ignoring eye problems like ptosis, eye infection, eye injury or cataract and not taking timely help from your eye doctor can deteriorate eye health
What are common problems in vision?
Some common vision problems include:
● Myopia (near-sightedness): This causes difficulty in seeing distant objects.
● Hyperopia (farsightedness): difficulty seeing close-up objects clearly
● Astigmatism: blurred vision due to irregular shape of the cornea or lens
● Presbyopia: difficulty seeing close-up objects clearly due to age-related changes in the lens
● Cataract: Very commonly causes clouding of the vision.
● Glaucoma: a group of eye conditions that can lead to damage to the optic nerve and loss of vision
● Age-related macular degeneration (AMD): this condition affects the central part of the retina.
● Diabetic retinopathy: a condition that affects the blood vessels in the retina and can cause vision loss
● Dry eyes: a lack of sufficient lubrication and moisture on the surface of the eyes.
When do I need to see my Eye specialist doctor?
Our expert team of Ophthalmologists in Vadodara will recommended to have an eye exam every 1–2 years if you are aged between 20–60 and have no vision issues, but if you have any of the following symptoms, it’s important to see an eye specialist in Vadodara;
● Sudden vision loss or changes in the vision
● Blurred vision
● Double vision
● Seeing floaters or flashes of light
● Eye pain or redness
● Changes in the appearance of the eyes
● Difficulty seeing at night
● Difficulty reading or performing close-up tasks
● A sudden onset of sensitivity to light
● A feeling of pressure or pain in your eyes
● A family history of eye diseases.
Additionally, if you have a pre-existing medical condition such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or autoimmune disease, you may need to see an eye doctor more frequently to monitor for any potential eye complications.
How does lifestyle affect my eyesight?
Lifestyle factors can have a significant impact on eye health and vision. Here are a few examples:
● Smoking: Smoking is a major risk factor for a variety of eye conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
● Diet: Eating a diet that is high in fruits, vegetables, and fish has been shown to lower the risk of certain eye conditions. On the other hand, a diet high in saturated fat and cholesterol can increase the risk of eye problems.
● Exercise: Regular exercise can help to lower the risk of certain eye conditions and improve overall eye health.
● UV exposure: Prolonged exposure to UV radiation from the sun can increase the risk of cataracts and other eye problems. Wearing sunglasses that provide UV protection can help to reduce this risk.
● Digital device usage: Prolonged use of digital devices, especially without proper eye protection, can lead to eye strain, dry eyes, and blurred vision.
● Sleep: Lack of sleep can cause dry eyes, blurred vision, and eye strain.
Overall, maintaining a healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and protection from UV radiation can help to promote good eye health and prevent vision problems.

Everything You Need To Know ABOUT YOUR EYES – Dr. Aanal Shah
Tumblr media
Taking care of your eyes is very crucial in today’s day and age because any frequent eye related issues can lead to hindrance in the day to day lives. To prevent this, it is very important to schedule regular eye check-ups with an Best Eye Doctor in vadodara and avoid further complications. You don’t have to be an eye doctor to realise how important it is to keep your eyes healthy. However, as you age and other factors affect your vision, it can be difficult to know where to turn for help. As an experienced eye specialist, Dr. Aanal Shah explains that eyes being a complex organ can undergo numerous issues and discomfort which should be addressed at proper time by consulting an eye doctor.
How do your eyes work?
Eyes are a complex organ that allows us to see and interpret the world around us. It is made up of several parts, including the cornea, iris, pupil, sclera, lens, retina, optic nerve, conjunctiva, eyelids, eyelashes, tear ducts, and vitreous humor.
The eye works by focusing light onto the retina, which is the inner lining of the eye that contains photoreceptors (cells that detect light) and other nerve cells that help to process and interpret the visual information that is received. The retina is useful in sending this processed information to the brain through the optic nerve.
The iris, which is the coloured part of the eye, controls the size of the pupil, which is the opening in the center of the iris that allows light to enter the eye. The pupil gets smaller in bright light to reduce the amount of light entering the eye, and it gets larger in dim light to allow more light to enter the eye.
The lens is a clear structure which is present inside the eye which can help to focus light onto the retina. The shape of the lens can change to help the eye focus on objects at different distances. This is called accommodation.
The cornea can be described as a clear, dome-shaped surface covering the front of the eye and helps in focusing light. It is made up of layers of cells and is responsible for about two-thirds of the eye’s focusing power.
The sclera is the white, outer layer of the eye that helps to protect and support the eye. It is made up of tough, fibrous tissue and is the part of the eye that you can see when you look at someone’s eye.
The conjunctiva is a thin, transparent layer of tissue that covers the front of the eye and the inside of the eyelids. It helps to keep the eye moist and protects it from dust and other foreign particles.
The eyelids are the movable folds of skin that cover and protect the front of the eye. They also help to spread tears over the surface of the eye to keep it moist.
The eyelashes are the hairs that grow along the edge of the eyelids and help to protect the eyes from dust and other foreign particles.
The tear ducts are the small openings in the corners of the eyelids that allow tears to drain from the eye. Tears are produced by the lacrimal gland and help to keep the eye moist and clean.
The vitreous humor is a clear, jelly-like substance that fills the space between the lens and the retina and helps to maintain the shape of the eye. It is made up of water and collagen fibers and is contained within the vitreous chamber of the eye.
Conditions affecting the EYES
There are many different issues that can affect the health and function of the eyes. Some common eye problems include:
Diabetic Retinopathy and Hypertensive Retinopathy
These are two types of eye conditions that can affect people with diabetes and high blood pressure, respectively.
Diabetic retinopathy is a condition that occurs when high blood sugar levels cause damage to the blood vessels in the retina, the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. This damage can lead to changes in vision, such as blurriness, floaters, and difficulty seeing at night. In severe cases, diabetic retinopathy can cause vision loss. It is the most common cause of blindness in people with diabetes.
High blood pressure can also damage the retina’s blood vessels over time, limiting its function and putting pressure on the optic nerve, resulting in vision problems.
Both diabetic retinopathy and hypertensive retinopathy can be treated with medications, laser surgery, or traditional surgery, depending on the severity of the condition. It is important for people with diabetes and high blood pressure to have regular eye exams to detect these conditions early and to receive appropriate treatment.
Retinal Tears and Detachments:
Retinal tears and detachments are two types of eye conditions that can cause vision loss. If you experience any symptoms of a retinal tear or detachment, it is important to seek medical attention from an expert immediately. Dr Aanal Shah is considered an expert retina specialist in Vadodara with years of experience.
A retinal tear is a tear or hole in the retina, the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. Retinal tears can be caused by trauma to the eye, such as a blow to the head or a sports injury, or by other factors, such as aging or the use of certain medications. Symptoms of a retinal tear can include floaters, flashes of light, and a curtain-like veil over part of the field of vision. It is crucial to not leave a retinal tear untreated, as it can lead to a retinal detachment.
A retinal detachment can be described as a separation of the retina from the back of the eye. It can be caused by a retinal tear or by other factors, such as trauma, inflammation, or changes in the vitreous humor (the clear, jelly-like substance that fills the space between the lens and the retina). Symptoms of a retinal detachment can include floaters, flashes of light, a sudden increase in floaters, or a shadow or curtain over part of the field of vision. Retinal detachments can cause vision loss if left untreated.
Both retinal tears and detachments can be treated with surgery to repair the retina and prevent vision loss.
Complicated Cataracts And Glaucoma
Cataracts are a common eye condition that occurs when the lens of the eye becomes cloudy, which can cause vision to become blurry or hazy. Cataracts are most commonly observed in older adults, but they can occur at any age. Complicated cataracts are cataracts that are more difficult to treat due to factors such as the location or size of the cataract, the presence of other eye conditions, or the presence of medical conditions that make surgery more risky.
Treatment for cataracts usually involves surgery to remove the clouded lens and replace it with a clear artificial lens. Complicated cataracts may require more advanced surgical techniques or specialized equipment to remove and may also involve additional steps to address any underlying conditions.
Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that can damage the optic nerve and lead to vision loss. It is usually caused by high pressure within the eye, but it can also occur as a result of other factors, such as inflammation or injury. Complicated glaucoma refers to glaucoma that is difficult to treat due to factors such as the severity of the condition, the presence of other eye conditions, or the presence of medical conditions that make surgery riskier.
Treatment for glaucoma can include medications, laser surgery, or traditional surgery to lower eye pressure and prevent further damage to the optic nerve. Complicated glaucoma may require more advanced surgical techniques or specialized equipment and may also involve additional steps to address any underlying conditions.
Both complicated cataracts and glaucoma can cause serious vision problems if left untreated, so it is important to seek medical attention from the eye specialist at Vadodara if you experience any changes in your vision or eye health.
Macular degeneration:
Macular degeneration is a condition that affects the center of the retina (the macula) and can cause vision loss. It is most common in older adults and is usually caused by age-related changes in the retina. There is no cure for macular degeneration, but treatments are available to slow its progression and help to preserve vision. You need to remain under the guidance of a retina specialist to keep a check on the condition.
Refractive errors:
These are problems with the way the eye focuses light, which can cause blurred vision. Common refractive errors include near-sightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism. With proper consultation from an expert eye doctor these problems can be addressed with eyeglasses, contact lenses, or surgery.
Eye infections
They are another type of eye condition that can cause inflammation and other symptoms. Eye infections can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or other microorganisms and can affect different parts of the eye, including the conjunctiva, cornea, and interior of the eye. Common symptoms of eye infections include redness, itching, discharge, and pain. Eye infections can often be treated with medications, such as antibiotics or antivirals.
Ocular Tumours:
Ocular tumours are abnormal growths that can occur in or around the eye. They can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) and can affect different parts of the eye, including the conjunctiva, iris, sclera, and retina. It is still important to have any unusual changes in your vision or eye health evaluated by an expert eye doctor.
Symptoms of ocular tumours can vary depending on the type and location of the tumour, but may include vision changes, eye pain, redness, swelling, and abnormal pupil shape. Ocular tumours can cause vision loss if left untreated, so it is important to consult an eye specialist,  if you experience any unusual changes in your vision or eye health.
Ocular tumours are usually diagnosed through a combination of eye exams, imaging tests (such as an ultrasound or CT scan), and biopsies (tests that involve removing a sample of tissue for examination). Treatment for ocular tumours can include medications, surgery, and/or radiation therapy, depending on the type and stage of the tumour.
It is important to note that ocular tumours are relatively rare and most people with eye growths do not have cancer.
Eye trauma:
It refers to any injury to the eye or surrounding structures, such as the eyelids or orbit (the bony socket that holds the eye in place). Eye trauma can range from mild to severe and can be caused by a variety of factors, such as falls, sports injuries, accidents, and assaults.
If you think you or someone else has suffered an eye injury, it is important to seek medical attention immediately. Eye injuries can be serious and can cause long-term vision problems if not treated promptly. If you are unable to see a healthcare provider right away, you can protect the eye by covering it with a clean, damp cloth or bandage and seeking medical care as soon as possible. Do not try to remove any foreign objects from the eye, as this can cause further injury.

Best Ways To Upkeep Your Heart Health For A Longer Life
You may focus on keeping your heart healthy every day. However, five factors that can significantly influence your heart include what you eat, how much you walk, whether you smoke, and regulating your cholesterol and blood pressure. Learn practical advice on how to live a heart-healthy lifestyle from the doctors at the best heart hospital in Vadodara.
Control your portion sizes: Just as essential as what you eat is how much you eat. Overloading your plate, eating too quickly, and eating until you're full can contribute to eating more calories than you need, affecting your waistline and heart. So, manage your quantities and eat thoughtfully without distractions such as TV, newspaper, or other devices.
Reduce your salt intake: A high salt diet can lead to high blood pressure, a key risk factor for heart disease. Salt reduction is an essential component of a heart-healthy diet. Also, keep an eye out for ready-to-eat meals heavy in salt.
Quit smoking: One of the finest things you can do for your heart is to quit smoking. Did you know that smoking doubles or quadruples your chance of acquiring heart disease? Quit smoking today and start living an active and healthy life.
Avoid a smoke-filled environment: Do you have any smoking partners or friends? Did you know that secondhand smoking is just as bad and increases your chances of having a heart attack? Avoid such situations and urge your loved ones to quit.
Control Your Blood Pressure: High blood pressure is the leading risk factor for brain stroke and a major risk factor for over half of all heart disorders. Maintain healthy body weight and blood pressure by eating good food, avoiding excess salt, being physically active, and keeping a healthy body weight.
Manage Diabetes: Did you know that persons with type 2 diabetes are two to four times more likely than those who do not have diabetes to develop heart disease or have a stroke? Make healthy lifestyle adjustments to keep your diabetes in check. Maintaining a healthy weight is one of the essential things you can do if you have diabetes.
Increase physical activity: Five days each week, engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity. Walk, jog, do yoga, join a gym, or participate in your favourite sport, but do something!
Get Good Sleep: missed sleep for late-night parties, work, etc. However, before you make this a regular practice, consider the following: According to studies, those who slept fewer than six hours each day had a 48 percent elevated chance of acquiring heart disease.
Avoid eating junk food: To protect your heart, avoid junk food and anything that comes in a packet, such as biscuits, chips, and so on, as they are rich in salts, trans fats, and preservatives. Consume nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, and lean protein.
If you have heart symptoms, go to the top nephrology hospital in India. In addition, multi-speciality hospitals, such as Parul Sevashram Hospital, provide a specialised Cardiology department staffed by expert professionals to help you recover from your pain and disease.
Parul Sevashram is also a Government card hospital and PMJAY card hospital, offering a variety of government-approved insurance plans. So, visit Parul Sevashram Hospital if you have any heart issues or concerns.

Prologue
It's certain he is gone this winter.
Winter, inspite of its frigid demeanor,
is always wizardly.
It's in this winter,
the early augury of snow is welcomed,
the various festivals have arrived in ceremonial attire and paraphernalia,
the scrumptious meals are relished
basking under the warm sunlight.
And most significantly, the vacation after exam.
Winter, it's unusual this time.
No more magic, no more thrill.
The deadliest winter ever experienced.
A sinister winter as it always is.
As Athoiba lies in his bed.
All over his pallid face, the pungent tears start gushing down.
The fever is high, the body dead cold.
The throat is parched, the tiny lips desiccated.
Ashangbi's first born son seems moribund.
Not a single cent to fetch a doctor,
she is sitting in utter void near her dying son.
II
The harder she contemplates, the silence sweeps her heart.
The small eyes are wide set in a fixed glassy stare.
It surely reeks a message _
The sin of ignorance, the blunder of innocence and many whys.
III
" I buy for my shoe, ma."
"I... for my family, for you."
"I don't do anything wrong, ma."
Athoiba's incoherent words make sense to her.
She incriminates herself of her son's doom.
She breaks her silence eventually.
IV
Ashangbi but 18 then eloped with Tomba.
The culprit behind her deplorable life and her son's predicament was her blind love and faith.
Whatever he promised before marriage turns out to be all shams.
Gambling, stealing and drinking have become his persona,
that deliberately forces her into selling herbs and vegetables on the roadside in order
not to stop the fire in the hearth.
V
Athoiba's school uniform looks clumsy to him too, he can feel it.
But it is the best outfit he has ever worn
therefore, adores the most.
A torn shirt, a worn out half pant, a short tie and a raddled slipper.
A dream to have a pair of shoes with nice socks remains unfulfilled.
VI
It is during Yaoshang festival, he collects some money from Nakatheng.
He and his best chum, Angou go for singju, pafor, boiled egg and sunflower seeds.
And lo! The epiphany is awoke.
Angou, always mischievous, drags him to buy a lottery ticket.
"We should buy a lottery ticket. It's only five rupee."
"You can buy your shoes and help your ma."
"Really, can I?"
"Yes, ofcourse. C'on let's buy a ticket."
VII
That night Athoiba's eyes refuse to shut. Carefully he keeps the ticket inside his pocket as he is pleasantly lost in his own daydream.
VIII
"What are you blabbering, Ibungo?"
"Yes, ma, I'm saying the truth. You know what, today I bought a lottery ticket."
"What? A lottery ticket! Who told you to buy it? Tell me."
Ashangbi starts screaming loudly.
For the first time, she raises her voice.
"You scoundrel, I thought you are different.
I know you will also become like him. No doubt you are his son."
Saying this Ashangbi starts beating her son incessantly till the boy faints.
IX
Epilogue
Everything has changed!
The winter is approaching swiftly.
The exam too is going to end and
the vacation is inevitable.
Winter's fast pace is immutable though
as the Nature happily cycles its birth and death.
Winter comes, never ceases bragging its multifarious hues.
Athouba joins Nature's natural course contributing his body to the coldness of the merciless season.

Navigating the Treatment Options for Entropion: Insights from Vadodara's Leading Ophthalmologist
Entropion, where the eyelid turns inward, causes significant discomfort and can severely impact vision if not treated properly. Dr. Surbhi Kapadia, a renowned eye surgeon based in Vadodara, sheds light on the surgical and non-surgical treatment options available for managing this condition effectively.
Tumblr media
Understanding Entropion - Ectropion and Its Impact on Eye Health
Entropion primarily affects older adults, with its prevalence increasing with age. This condition can lead to symptoms such as eye redness, excessive tearing, and sensitivity to light, greatly affecting daily activities. Dr. Kapadia emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and treatment to prevent complications such as corneal damage.
Surgical Solutions for Long-term Relief
Surgical intervention is often recommended for severe cases of entropion. Procedures like lateral tarsal strip surgery or anterior lamellar repositioning are commonly utilized to correct the eyelid's position, addressing the root cause of entropion and providing lasting relief. These surgeries not only alleviate symptoms but also prevent further eye damage by ensuring the eyelid no longer rubs against the cornea.
Pros and Cons of Surgical Treatment for Entropion - Ectropion
While surgery offers a permanent solution to entropion, it comes with risks typical of surgical procedures, such as potential infection and the need for a recovery period. However, the benefits, including restored eyelid function and improved quality of life, often outweigh these risks. Patients typically experience significant symptom relief and a return to normal eyelid function post-recovery.
Exploring Non-Surgical Approaches for Entropion - Ectropion
For those seeking temporary relief or who are not immediate candidates for surgery, non-surgical methods like eyelid taping or Botox injections provide viable alternatives. These methods are less invasive and can offer significant symptom relief by temporarily repositioning the eyelid or relaxing the muscles causing the eyelid to turn.
The Role of Botox in Managing Entropion
Botox injections can be particularly effective in cases where surgery is not feasible. By temporarily paralyzing the muscles responsible for the inward turning of the eyelid, Botox allows for symptom management and improved comfort for the patient.
Choosing the Right Treatment Path for Entropion
Dr. Surbhi Kapadia advises that the choice between surgical and non-surgical treatments should be made based on the severity of the entropion, the patient's overall health, and their specific needs and preferences. Each treatment plan is tailored to provide the best possible outcome, with a focus on enhancing the patient’s vision and quality of life.
Conclusion: Empowering Patients Through Expert Care
Entropion, if left untreated, can lead to significant eye health issues. Dr. Surbhi Kapadia's expertise in both surgical and non-surgical treatments ensures that patients in Vadodara receive comprehensive care tailored to their condition and lifestyle. With a focus on patient education and preventative care, Dr. Kapadia empowers her patients to make informed decisions about their eye health.

5 Effective ways to take care of your eyes in Digital Era
Excess screen time, especially in this world full of digital content where most of our time is spent in front of the screens, whether it may be the daily usage of phones and laptops for work or binge watching web series on ott platforms, can be hard on your eyes.
Tumblr media
Our eye specialists in Vadodara at Aadicura Superspeciality Hospital, stress the need to address any eye or vision related issues by regularly consulting an eye doctor.
Excess screen time can have several ill effects on your eyes, including:
Eye strain: Staring at screens for long periods of time can cause your eyes to become tired and strained. This can lead to symptoms like headache, blurred vision, dry eyes, and fatigue.
Dry eyes: When we stare at screens, we tend to blink less than we should. This can result in our eyes becoming very dry and irritated. Dry eyes can be uncomfortable and can lead to more serious eye problems if left untreated.
Blue light exposure: Many screens, including smartphones, laptops, and TVs, emit blue light. Exposure to blue light can be harmful to your eyes, leading to symptoms like digital eye strain, fatigue, and difficulty sleeping.
Poor sleep: Excessive screen time can disrupt your natural sleep-wake cycle, making it harder for you to fall asleep at night. This can lead to a range of health problems, including difficulty concentrating, mood disorders, and weight gain.
Developmental problems in children: Excessive screen time has been linked to developmental problems in children, including poor social skills and decreased attention span. It’s important for parents to monitor and limit their children’s screen time to prevent these problems.
Overall, it’s important to take care of your eyes and limit your screen time to prevent these and other negative effects.
How do you save your eyes in the digital age?
While excessive use of computers and other screens can lead to eye strain and other negative effects, the amount of blue light emitted by screens is not significant enough to cause permanent damage to your eyesight. However, If you are facing persistent straining or watering of eyes, it is important to consult the best ophthalmologist in Vadodara to avoid discomfort.
Follow the 20–20–20 rule: Every 20 minutes, it is important to take a 20-second break and look at something 20 feet away. This is very effective in reducing eye strain and fatigue of the eyes.
Blink often: when we stare at screens, we tend to blink less than we should. Due to this, it can cause the eyes to become dry and irritated. Make a conscious effort to blink frequently when using screens.
Adjust your screen’s brightness and contrast: your screen should be at a level of brightness and contrast that is comfortable for your eyes. If your screen is too bright or too dark, it can cause eye strain.
Use artificial tears: if your eyes feel dry, you can use artificial tears to help lubricate your eyes and reduce dryness and discomfort.
Take frequent breaks: it’s important to give your eyes a break from screens, especially if you’re using them for long periods of time. Every hour or so, take a few minutes to look away from your screen and do something else.
What is the importance of eye care while using the phone?
Eye care on phones is important because phones emit blue light, which can be harmful to your eyes. Blue light has been linked to symptoms like digital eye strain, fatigue, and difficulty sleeping. By taking care of your eyes when using your phone, you can reduce these symptoms and protect your eyes from the harmful effects of blue light.
Do phones damage your eyesight?
Excessive use of phones can potentially damage your eyesight, although the evidence is mixed. One of the main concerns is blue light exposure from screens. Blue light has been linked to symptoms like digital eye strain, fatigue, and difficulty sleeping.
However, the amount of blue light emitted by phones is not significant enough to cause permanent damage to your eyesight. Many studies have stated that there is no evidence that blue light from screens can cause long-term vision problems.
That being said, excessive use of phones can lead to eye strain, which can cause temporary vision problems. To reduce the risk of eye strain and other negative effects, it’s important to take care of your eyes when using your phone.
How do you take care of your eyes at screen time?
By following these tips, you can help maintain good eye health and protect your eyes from potential problems.
You can follow these tips for maintaining good eye health:
Get regular eye exams: it’s important to have your eyes checked by an expert eye doctor at least once a year. This can help catch any potential problems early and ensure that your eyes are healthy.
Eat a healthy diet: a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and omega-3 fatty acids can help promote good eye health.
Wear sunglasses: ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun can be harmful to your eyes. Wear sunglasses that block at least 99% of UV rays to protect your eyes.
Quit smoking: smoking can increase your risk of developing eye diseases, such as cataracts and age-related macular degeneration. If you smoke, quitting can help protect your eyes.
Take frequent breaks: if you work at a computer or spend a lot of time looking at screens, take frequent breaks to give your eyes a rest. This helps in reducing eye strain and fatigue.

Reflections!
4 weeks ago a team of 15 people met each other like a new class in Grade 1 … and last week we left each other with tears in eyes and with great respect for each individual.
Tumblr media
Especially for IBM CSC’s Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) team it has been a great journey. We built close relationship across IBMers, VSO team, our customers (incl their helping staff) and citizens.
First of all - our team project was "To design a scalable dashboard to provide indicator trends that will help measure the effectiveness of BBBP program launched by Government of India (GoI)". Our customers were UNICEF and Deepak Foundation.
At the completion of our assignment, we successfully delivered a scalable Pilot Dashboard with 12 key indicators. Our technical solution describes a strategic solution, which will bring the current paper based solution with very little re-use of data to a scalable IT enabled solution using extract, load and transformation of data, modelling of predictive/empirical learning, store and share data across, use of Smart Device Apps and push data to Government of India, State and other stakeholders.
So … the mission has been completed!!!
Tumblr media
Our project required intense work together through-out all the project phases. We travelled and experienced a lot of villages and we learned a great part of India’s culture. Discussing the subject "survival of girl child" is not always that easy to bring up with people who you’ve never met. However, in order to identify the best BBBP effectiveness indicators for our proposed dashboard, we interviewed several stakeholders: from high school girl, to CEO of the villages (called Sarpanch), doctors, local village workers and representatives at Deepak Foundation and UNICEF.
We presented our completed project as represented by our proposed solution, respectively to Deepak Foundation and UNICEF. We got a very positive feedback. Now it is time for UNICEF and Deepak Foundation to bring it ever further.
Beyond the project, the 3 of us have had one of the most amazing experiences of our lives.
While the bigger IBM CSC India 35 participants worked from a different location, the three of us were working at the offices of Deepak Foundation. This formed the basis for our intense relationship between ourselves within the IBM team and also with the Deepak Foundation employees.
Tumblr media
Who would have thought that we would make such close relationships with the kitchen staff at Deepak Foundation such that the kitchen staff actually had a small internal competition of who would actually serve us? And when we left they (and us) had tears in their eyes?
Who would have thought that the IBM team would be invited home for local Gujarati food by one of the most inspiring and brave women we have ever met? To hear the lady – an employee at Deepak Foundation - tell her own story of her fight to accomplish what she believes is the most important thing in life: Social conditions and Health improvements of the underprivileged, was just amazing.
Who would have thought that we would go out to the tribal villages and dance together with citizens? Not long time ago, it was unthinkable to pay a visit these villages; where they would defend themselves from any outsiders. Only recently in just over a decade, since Deepak Foundation started working closely with the tribal villagers, they are happy to host visit from IBM CSC team.
Who would have thought that we joined the local Navratri dance in Vadodara and have a great time together with the local citizens? Extreme fun! During our stay, India had a 9 nights Navratri festival where they arrange “Garba” dances in different venues around the city. To enter the dance area, we had to wear the local colourful dress and follow the dance steps. It was great fun and local people were happy to introduce the dance to us.
Who would have thought that we get close to the drivers, hotel staff and the hotel guards? After only a few days, the hotel restaurant staff already knew what each one of us like to have for breakfast, the hotel guards were very helpful and were always ready for chats while we waited for our vehicles to arrive, and the drivers were fantastic and made sure we travelled safely.
Who would have thought that we as a team who had never met in-person until a month ago would get so close to each other, as if we knew each other for ages? Besides our professional work on the project, we had many serious talks and a great great fun along the way!
Who would have thought that we as a team performed from the beginning and throughout the project?
Up front we were aware of possible challenges working as leaders from various countries in a completely different culture.
On our side, we think these challenges were more or less blown away by the wish to achieve the goal, to support the local community and the friendship and relationship we as team and our surroundings build together. To all who say that work and friendship can't be mixed, we will answer that "when it happens, it is a strength, an engine that pushes you to go even further!”.
This is called High Performance Culture!!!
The 4 last weeks have been a great journey for us as a team and as individuals. It has been one of the most wonderful times in our life - one of the most amazing experiences!
Last but not the least - Inspiration to follow a new direction that one could pursue - now and/or later.
With a heavy heart, but filled with a lots of love and extremely fond memories!
