Summary: Where Mason’s wife and daughter didn’t like when he shaved his beard.

Today I decided to do something I didn’t do for a long e time.

Shave my beard.

I’ve always been proud of my beard, It was my personal signature and something he'd nurtured for years.

The thick, well-groomed facial hair had become an integral part of him. Yet, there was one recurring scenario that made me hesitate every time I think of shaving it off - my wife and daughter reaction.

So today as I stood in front of the bathroom mirror, razor in my hand, I couldn't help but wonder how the girl’s would react to this. My wife, Y/n, was undoubtedly the most vocal critic.

She claimed that it made me look hot and super attractive so she obviously didn’t like when I shave.

As the shaving foam covered my beard, I remembered the countless times my wife had protest when she sees me without the beard.

My daughter also didn’t like me without it but it was annoying me so much that I could wait any longer to shave it off.

But I had been contemplating this change for a while now. I knew my wife and daughter would initially be surprised, maybe even upset. However, I also believed they would eventually adjust to me with a clean face.

With a deep breath, I began to shave. As the beard disappeared bit by bit, I caught glimpses of my face that I didn’t even remember how it looked since I was with this beard for months.

Once I finished, I examined my clean-shaven face in the mirror and It felt strange, almost as if I had lost a part of myself but it was also liberating in a way I hadn't anticipated.

When I walked into the living room, I was met with a mixed reaction.

My daughter chocked, not sure how to react to this sudden change in her dad's appearance. But my wife, on the other hand, looked surprised but then broke into a smile.

"Wow, you look so different!" she exclaimed.

My daughter Lily got out of my wife’s lap, after a moment of uncertainty she came running to me and I took her in my lap and she began to run her little hands over my face, feeling my face without the beard but with a look of curiosity.

“I don’t like it.” She says after taking of her hand of my face and my wife started laughing.

“What, why?”

“I just don’t like it daddy.”

“Why not?”

“I don’t know.”

“And what about you babe?”

“Well I didn’t like it either.” She says coming towards us. “You look hot, don’t get me wrong but nothing looks better on you than the beard. And you look so young that people may think your under 18.”

“Oh come on, I don’t look that young.”

“Yes you do Mase, your face used to look like this when we met 7 years.”

“I don’t look like I have 18.”

“Yes you do and you know that.”

“I’ll remember not to shave next time since my two girls hate me.” I said being dramatic and Y/n laughs while my daughter looks scared.

“No, I don’t hate you daddy.” She’s says hugging me tight.

“I know you don’t baby and I love you for that.” I kissed her cheek.

“Well don’t shave it next time please.”

“Yes daddy.” Sebe agree with her mom.

“Okay girls I won’t.” I kissed my wife and we sat on the sofa to watch a movie.

can u write one where y/n and Jack have known each other since they were children and have been on and off and she gets pregnant and finds out on the day of the euro finals and tells him before the game so when they lose Jack blames her for the distraction w her news and goes off on holiday and is pictured w another girl and then something happens w y/n and the baby and by the time Jack gets back she refuses to talk to him pleaseeeeee

You can't remember moments in your life that didn't involve Jack, always together since childhood because of your parents' friendship and on-and-off a relationship because of too many memories together. Unable to put a stop to it but also unable to stop acting like kids over every little problem.

Well it looks like you definitely have to stop so as not to ruin even a third life that will soon fill your lives. You are pregnant and the news was eating you alive as Jack was at the Euros and you didn't want to tell him over the phone.

On the day of the final, however, you manage to sneak in before the game for a few minutes to talk to him, wish him luck and hold him after more than a month without feeling his warmth. You tell him the news and he seems quite surprised but happy nonetheless. He blows you a kiss as he walks away and really does look happy.

The game starts and your heart is pounding for that final but at the same time it's light because you managed to give him the most important news. And you rest a hand on your still unpronounced stomach when he too steps onto the pitch and plays a part in that game that doesn't seem to want to unlock in any way.

After the penalties, while a part of the stadium celebrates and many others leave with heavy hearts, you immediately look for Jack and hold him to you. He's a little colder than usual but you don't mind, you realise how heavy that result can be and seeing others cheering thinking it could have been me instead.

It's when you can stand back, however, that his attitude doesn't improve, in fact it only gets worse. And when you ask him something to try to get him to talk, he bursts out. He blames you for that final result because you could have kept the news to yourself for a while longer; you could have kept your mouth shut instead of messing with his brain before one of the most important games of his career.

The pain is evident on your face, so much so that you don't stay to hear the rest he has to say but simply turn away without saying anything and leave that place. You leave him there, and he doesn't follow you.

You find out by chance that Jack is on holiday, thanks to a photo posted by Ben on instagram. You were waiting for him at home, maybe thinking stupidly that after he calmed down he would at least come to apologise for all those things he said to you. Instead, he had packed his bags and surrounded himself with people who weren't you, with friends and other women who certainly wouldn't let him beg them to spend some time with him.

With a heavy heart you went on with your life, hurting yourself every day by checking social media for new photos of his holiday and feeling guilty because you had convinced yourself that maybe if you had waited a little longer things would have been different. Maybe Jack was right.

And you had hoped that at that appointment you would go with Jack by your side but that wasn't the case so you pretended to be strong and went to the doctor.

"Hang on" he had said a moment after the exam had started, "I need to check something" his expression had made you rather nervous even though he had done his best not to upset you.

"Is there a problem?" you had asked with your heart in your throat, hoping there wasn't.

"It might be nothing. Try not to worry" and he had left the room saying he would be back shortly. A thousand things had begun to flood your mind and panic had taken hold of you, so much so that you had picked up the phone and called his sister for support. You didn't want to be alone, whatever the doctor would tell you.

She had arrived almost immediately but in addition she had made a further phone call alarming Jack who, hard to believe, had worried himself deciding to drop everything he was doing to book the first available plane back to you.In the end it had really been nothing to be alarmed about, just the machine not working and leading you to believe the worst. Hearing your baby's little heart beating so loudly had made you cry every tear in your body, relieved that everything was going well.

And by now Jack had been alarmed so he was on his way to you, who really didn't want to see him. He enters the house with his keys and when he tries to get into the bedroom, he finds it locked. He then knocks on the surface while you wipe your tears without saying anything.

"(Y/N) please open me up" he continues to force the knob as if at any moment the door could magically open.

"(Y/N)" he begs you, "at least tell me how you are, both of you"

"Go away" your voice comes in serious and steady despite the tears threatening to leak from your eyes again.

"(Y/N)"

"Get out!" you interrupt whatever he was about to say as he continues to try and open the door, hitting it when he realises again that he won't succeed.

part 2 to the imagine of mason cheating on holiday? loved it💗

I did it. Not really satisfied with that but I wanted to thank you for all the support for the first part x

Part 1

The last few days as you started to pack your things, you had been thinking about what to do. You knew that your parents would be more than happy to host you for as long as you needed, but you didn't have the energy to give many explanations at the time and going back to your own home would make you feel even more of a failure. So you thought about renting a flat, you would still feel like a failure but within walls that had never welcomed Mase. And you set about trying to solve that little problem as quickly as possible, not wanting to be alone with him any longer than you had to be.

How exactly do you deal with something like that? You're exhausted, you just want to throw yourself into bed and try to catch up on some sleep but you can't. First you have to leave that house and that means confronting Mason.

"Hey do you want me to take them up?" Mason walks down the stairs joining you after quickly dropping his bags off at the laundry room, yours at the same place you left them at the front door just before.

"Do you really think everything is alright between us Mason? Or are you playing dumb hoping I'll just forget about it?" sitting on the couch you stare straight ahead, your arms over your legs ending with your hands crossed.

"Oh so we can talk now" your eyebrows rise in surprise at the sarcastic tone you detect in his voice.

"Excuse me?" you get up to look at him finding him behind the couch with his arms crossed.

"I've been trying to talk to you for days, but all you do is push me away"

"Can you blame me? Anything that would have come out of your mouth would have been pointless" your gaze lands on the suitcases knowing it's one of those now or never situations, so you sigh trying to look as casual as possible. "Anyway I'm leaving for a while"

"What?" his arms lose position, his gaze following yours as he seems to understand why you haven't moved a finger yet until that moment. "No, you can't be serious"

"Luckily we're not related at all, it'll be easier" you mutter with a low stare, you know you've hit him in something he cares about and it hurts. But you want to defend yourself somehow and not be the only bleeding one of the two.

At a determined pace you make your way to the suitcases, but his imposing figure gets in the way before you can even grab a handle. "What do you mean? Just because I haven't put a ring on your finger yet then you can't leave me like this!"

"You asked for it!" caught up in your anger you push him with all the strength you have, Mason stumbles for a moment taking a step back in surprise. "God Mason, these last few days have been hell!"

"I've already said I'm sorry"

"Well that's not good enough" you state harshly looking into his eyes. You're there face to face but you struggle to see him, to recognise him. "Let me go" you plead with him exhaustedly, changing emotion from one moment to the next.

"No" but he shakes his head stubbornly.

"Mason"

"(Y/N) please. We can work this out"

"If we have even a small chance of working this out, you need to let me walk out that door right now Mason" and he looks at you, seeming to weigh the choices in front of him carefully before sighing and stepping aside.

You've just sat down when the doorbell rings a couple of times and you stare at the door as if you can see who it is that seems to have sympathy for that button. When you seem to realise you have to get up to open the door, you snort.

"Hi" you greet softly, chuckling as the girl in front of you is trying to keep the little girl in her arms from leaning over to ring the doorbell again.

"(Y/N), hey. Say hello to auntie (Y/N), no more doorbell" the little girl gives you a warm smile as the girl goes inside and sets her down.

"Nice place, you've settled in nicely" she compliments after taking a quick look around.

"Thanks"

"Does this mean you're not planning on going back to your place anytime soon?!" you roll your eyes automatically, you were actually just trying to figure out why she had come to see you. You had built up a nice relationship over the years but you were kind of avoiding everyone lately so.

"It just means I don't want to live in an empty place" you sit down on the couch as the baby girl comes to cling to your legs and you sit her on your lap happily.

"Sorry I have to ask. Did he send you?" after a few moments of silence where you engage in playing with the baby but your head always thinks back to the same thing, you have to ask.

You're not a celebrity but the content Mason posts about your relationship always has a big following on social media, which is why they ask Mason to participate on Gogglebox with you.

You think it's fun at first and agree, but inevitably you get a little anxious as you watch the staff set up cameras and lights in your living room. Mason senses this and is immediately there for you, holding you close or letting you choose what to eat so you can be distracted.

"Just be yourself" he whispers, leaving you a kiss on your cheek before the cameras turn on and your evening begins.

The first show you watch is Bake Off, and it's easy to make you laugh by making a joke or waiting for a contestant to say something to add some silliness. Your legs are on his and you're just relaxing with each passing minute, Mason's hands absentmindedly caressing you.

"Ugh I'm hungry. I just want a nice crepe full of nutella" you laugh at his comment, pushing the bowl of fruit towards him who groans though.

"You always do this. And then I have to make you something"

"Shh babe we're on TV" he smiles guiltily as you giggle going back to watching the competition where everyone is hurrying to finish in time.

The next day there's a quiz show on and you and Mason compete to see who can answer the most questions correctly, him randomly dropping in most of the answers he doesn't know while you think sometimes even losing your train of thought but still getting to the point. Him looking at you at times still in disbelief at your knowledge and all the things you manage to fit in your brain.

"I can't even hold you" he snorts the next night when you sit on the couch watching a horror movie, you cross-legged with an interested look for that movie having no particular fear. You giggle as you adjust a pillow on your lap, the one that gradually goes to be placed on Mason's legs to allow you to lie on top of him. And although you don't need to hide in his chest, you occasionally look up at his face talking to him to distract yourself.

"Don't you dare Mason Mount, there's cameras everywhere I can't kill you" a finger firmly pointed at his chest when he suddenly slipped a hand on your hip making you literally jump in surprise.

But you soon get your revenge when naked attraction is on TV and you smile to yourself as you settle on that couch next to him, not missing a second of the show. That night he's the one using the pillow, trying to cover your view with your moans in the background.

"Masee come on! I want to see, when I get another chance"

"Excuse me!" he hits you with the pillow as your laughter bursts into the room.

You're natural, just yourselves, and that's what they love about you. Seeing that Mason is so carefree and playful in the life that social can portray than in his more private life. And you had so much fun doing that, but it's enough camera time for now.

Fake Proposal • John Stones

I saw a video on instagram and got the idea but as usual I got carried away, writing like a 4k long piece so read it at your own risk.

"Ugh" John sighs letting himself down on the couch resting his head on your lap, one of your hands immediately going into his hair as you smile.

"Your mother again?"

"My mum again" he sighs before hiding his face in his hands and holding back a moan in his throat, "She's been breathing down my neck with the whole marriage thing. Please help me"

"How? It's not like you can pretend to have a girlfriend and propose" you state slightly but his eyes snap open staring at you.

"No" you thunder, "No John. Get that look off your face. No" you shake your head covering his eyes as he squirms managing to lock your hands between his.

"Please, please (Y/N) help me" he pleads and you're the one who has to try not to meet his gaze so you don't give in to that madness.

"They'd never believe us John, everyone knows we're friends"

"That's exactly why it might work (Y/N)!" he sits up abruptly, "if I do it with a random person it would be suspicious" his gaze is lost somewhere, his eyes move as if he's picturing everything and you can almost see the wheels of his brain in motion.

"And then how are you going to do that? Your mother wants a wedding, she won't be satisfied"

"I'll buy some time, she'll be less on my back at least for a while and then I'll think about it" he looks at you expectantly, he seems really determined even though he would never have thought such a thing until just now.

"Please (Y/N). I don't like fooling my mother like this either but if I hear again how I'm getting older and need to start a family I swear I won't answer for me anymore"

"Fine" you sigh closing your eyes, missing his surprised expression and then his big smile before he literally throws himself at you.

"John! John John John" you giggle trying to get him off you, "don't get into something bigger than you"

"I won't, don't worry"

Don't worry. Sure. He makes it easy.

John seemed to take it all lightly, just happy to get his mother and her demands off his back for a while. He'd booked a cabin in the mountains for a couple of days ready to spring into action as soon as possible, counting down the days just like kids waiting for Christmas Day to open their presents.

You must have been crazy to have agreed to help him with something like this, you kept repeating it by packing your suitcase or letting people know you wouldn't be home or waiting for him to pick you up. And then you had decided that if nothing you would enjoy that couple of days' holiday at his expense.

You look around to see if you've got everything before you leave, when John honks. He gets out of the car to help you put your bag in the boot as you close the front door, but it's only when you're both getting into the car and you've fastened your seatbelt that he leans in to leave a kiss on your cheek.

"What's all this sweetness Stonesy, are you afraid I'm going to say no?!" you tease him as he starts the car, shaking his head.

You take over the radio, spending the ride humming songs and complaining about not finding the right one and asking John if you're there.

"(Y/N) I swear, you're a pain in the ass" he sighs before turning right heading into a driveway.

"If you had told me where we were going I would have checked it out myself" you retort looking around as a few houses finally start to appear under your gaze.

"You really need to learn how to chill out" he sighs, "And anyway, we're here"

"I'm totally calm" you state getting out of the car slamming the door on purpose earning you a warning look. Men and their cars.

And you leave him to pick up the bags you brought while your eyes don't know what to look at first. The swing next to the door strikes you immediately, you've always wanted one but never had the space so you immediately rush onto it climbing the stairs waiting for your friend with a huge smile on your face.

"Come on in, let’s go pick out your room"

Mason mount one where he cheated on you whilst being on a lads holiday and it comes out on the family holiday and you pretend life nothing has happened

You still struggle to understand what has happened in the last few hours. One minute you're enjoying your holiday with yours and Mason's family, the next you're locked in the bathroom crying your eyes out. Curled up under the water spray still with your clothes on, hoping with all your might that what you had learned was not true. Mason had cheated on you on his previous holiday, on the boys' holiday where he called you every afternoon to say he missed you.

After the end of the season and before you left for your family holiday, Mason and the lads had gone on a holiday of their own. To spend time together on the same side since for most of the year they were almost all against each other. As much as you would have liked to keep him all to yourself now that you could, you would have spent so much time together before the new season started and he had every right to spend time without you just as you had. Your only difference had been that you had meant every word directed at him that had come out of your mouth.

You had really missed him, holding him close again after his return from his all-male holiday had been wonderful even though it had only been a week. And then not even enough time to unpack his bags that you were on your way to a villa you'd rented for the rest of the holiday, big enough for both your family and his. They got on very well and it had been a couple of years since your holidays had become one, some arriving earlier some later, but always together.

And then you had a glimpse of that message on his phone, it had popped up out of the blue while you were using it to get directions to the restaurant you were supposed to go to that evening. Mason had tried to slip it out of your hands but it hadn't taken you long to figure it out, walking into the house quickly and trying to put as much space between you as possible. But he had stopped you and you masochistically had wanted to hear it from his lips, and boy that had hurt. The house was quiet, everyone had gone about their business and then had dinner together and the silence as you watched him trying not to give him the satisfaction of seeing you cry for him had become unbearable to the point that you had gone to lock yourself in the bathroom and burst.

There was a great confusion in your head and it was pounding like hell. Why? That was the main question. Followed by how many times? And who is she? And then again, was the lads' holiday an excuse for me not to suspect? With every question that ran through your head you wanted to get up and confront Mason, but at the same time they were questions you didn't want an answer to.

When you come out of the bathroom, you don't know exactly how long afterwards, carelessly dabbing your hair with a towel but with your clothes practically attached to your body, you immediately meet Mason's gaze. You keep walking towards the dresser to grab something dry, dodging him as soon as he tries to grab you. "Don't... touch me" and you feel like crying because not even after an intense workout where he's all sweaty you've ever escaped his grasp like this.

"(Y/N) please, can we talk?"

"Go away Mason" you thunder serious with your back to him, "I don't want to ruin anyone's holiday so we'll play it cool for the time being. But don't even think about coming near me for no reason at all" a few more tears escape your control after the door to your room closes gently behind him.

You end up preparing for the evening as if nothing had happened, making sure you're busy elsewhere when Mason returns to get ready by not giving him even a second alone with you to try and start a possible conversation.

And you keep yourself busy chatting with both yours and his parents to find out what they did that day, finding out that they ended up going out together. A spark of melancholy passes through your gaze because it's obvious they get along so well and you don't know if they'll be able to stay friends if you and Mason can't get past all that.

"Are you alright sweetie?" and it certainly doesn't go unnoticed by the two older women, so you try to smile as best as you can. "Yeah, just a slight headache" just then Mason's hand at your side rests on your leg.

"Do you wanna some aspirin?" your mother is already ready to reach into her bag to grab the small box with various medicines for any situations but you shake your head stopping her, roughly shooing his hand away hidden from the others eyes and not even giving him a look.

"I'll eat something and then if it doesn't pass I'll take something"

You're more than justified for your low mood after that little lie even though after all the tears you shed you didn't really lie. The little one of the family soon collapses into Mason's arms, a small fist clenched around one of his fingers as he acts so naturally continuing to chat while occasionally casting downward glances to check on her by gently stroking her. It's hard not to look at him, you're so used to it that your gaze falls on him almost unconsciously and you just drift in and out of your bubble of love for him. Each time the realisation hurts more and more.

You manage to dodge any conversation about you and Mason, you hadn't realised until that moment how much some of the conversations you had on a daily basis were about you two. You walk back to the house in silence, everyone retreating to their rooms as you head to the back sitting in a chair and watching some lights reflect in the pool.

"You're not going to sleep?" a wavering voice comes from behind you and you bite your tongue so as not to wake everyone up.

"I'm not sleepy" you answer coldly feeling something rest on your shoulders gently a moment later.

"Just don't sleep here okay" Mason stands looking at you as your gaze is always turned in front of you then sighs and heads towards your room.

The remaining time of that holiday is spent like this, pretending in front of others and suddenly becoming strangers as soon as the rooms door is closed at night. Throwing jibes at him during the day, sleeping in another room at night. You don't want to cover for him, almost certainly everyone will find out when you get home and ask your parents if you can stay with them for a while; but you don't know what to expect from that situation yet or how to react, and you don't want other judgments to influence you before you can have your own. You need to take some time for yourself to decide and to reflect, without Mason without your parents' friendship and without the affection that has grown from day one between all of you in the mix.

You think you're a good actress but if the others have figured something out, well they are too.
