Text
It's one thing when he summons phantom in his perfectly fine, cheap apartnemtn for the current situation.
It's another when phantom summons himself in his apartment.
His help is fine and dandy, but Constantine isn't above banishing the ghost from his living space.
("Are you eating my ketchup???"
"Is good."
He is so, so tempted as he watches the spirit eat his goddamn ketchup of all things.)

thinking today about a sad obikin AU under the cut TW qui-gon beimg disconcerting at best awful at worst, abuse cycles? complicated guilt
AU where Qui-Gon, being the..way he is, definitely developed interest in Obi-Wan in a non platonic manner and while never overtly acting on these feelings somehow in his manipulative, Qui-Gon way made Obi-Wan feel responsible for these feelings and guilty for not reciprocating, leaving him feeling uncomfortable and self blaming in the way only Obi-Wan can be, constantly stuck between the feelings of abandonment Qui-Gon has always caused and the unsafeness of having the person he is to rely on expect things of him that Obi-Wan isn't willing to give, but he must if he is to be a good padawan??
and these mixed up feelings never resolve and nothing ever physically happens and then phantom menace happens and Obi-Wan is still a bit repressed/unable to think in depth about it without sharp paib and guilt
and then Anakin grows and is knighted and shows genuine interest in Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan likes him too, loves him, the man and knight Anakin has become, but cannot bring himself to act because of the tangled mess left behind and the guilt and fear he holds of unintentionally continuing the cycle of abuse, no matter how much Anakin tries to convince him or how much meditation he engages in, and refuses to act in a manner that would ever make Anakin feel as helpless as he was in the face of an authority figure with unacceptable interest
and eventually through the war and meeting Anakin together as equals, as generals, as the team, and careful conversations and time Anakin isn't willing to put in for anyone else, Anakin convinces Obi-Wan he is worthy of being loved and that love and interest aren't negative consequences, aren't Obi-Wan manipulating Anakin unintentionally, are genuine sentiments he holds for his Master who has been by his side through so much
