Man I try not to get involved in online trans discourse because it’s so fucking stupid. But something about watching a 16 year old nonbinary kid be beaten to death by cis girls while people debate what kind of trans person has it “the worst” is just. So tiring. We are so focused on debating the validity and morality of different genders while children are being beaten and left to die by their peers and adults who are supposed to protect them. Does anyone else feel like they are going insane.

#idk maybe it was someone threatening to stab me for being trans #or maybe it was watching the people who called me and my trans friends slurs physically attempt and succeed to harm us #get no consequences not only from adults but my peers #or maybe it was watching my friend literally be abused by their parents out of identifying as trans #or being told I was addressing transphobia too emotionally #all while supposedly living in a progressive state #but I truly and honestly do not care whether you think nonbinary people are less oppressed #than binary trans people or not. truly and honestly I do not care #because I have seen in my incredibly short life so much violence directed at any trans person #regardless of the direction they transitioned #because newsflash. transphobes don’t care if you amab or afab they think you don’t deserve to live no matter what #THIS TURNED KIND OF INTO A VENT #but guys WHAT are we doinggg. what are we doing. #vent
