Sylvie’s been caring for herself for centuries but the guy who’s been nice to her for a few hours is in danger and she’s immediately no hesitation like, hey catch, here, have my machete, have this piece of my soul, have the weapon that’s seen me through a million apocalypses that has been the constant companion that has allowed me to survive. I’m throwing it to you now bc having you in my life has been nice and I want you to survive too and I’m fully confident that you’ll kick their asses with it. It enabled her to survive and meet and come to care for him, and now it keeps him alive too. Like that’s a peak battle couple trope right there
