I'm not American so I need the perspective of someone from the US for this, even though I'm watching US stuff 24/7: what's Bardley Whitford celebrity status versus Katey Sagal versus Jimmy Smits? Because I want to understand if BW is "easier" to book compared to the other two... I know KS was big in the 90s (Married with Children) and she was on Sons of Anarchy, but I personally only know her for the voice acting in Futurama, and from what I gather she's not like super busy atm? 1/2

I'm just trying to understand why Karen and Amy's parents don't appear more, and I want to exclude the actors' availability/status/payrate as being one of the factors... My assumption so far is that BW, KS and JS are more or less at the same level, so probably the only reason why BW appears more often is Roger's pivotal role in Jake's life (Jake's daddy issues being one of the main storylines since s1)? But maybe I got the wrong idea about their celebrity status, idk. Thanks! 2/2

i think you’re right, they’re all pretty much equal and the only reason bradley has appeared more is bc his relationship with jake is really important for jake’s character
