Since the day I started to cook, I want to try this recipe. Why? Because it's my mom's favorite. But every time I decided to try, I felt like it's a long cooking process. It's not quick and time-saving. But when I tried it, I felt like, 'Come on, I can do this. It is simple and delicious too. So, today let's do this recipe. Choco-Banana Malpua!
For Choco-Banana Malpua!!
2 Bananas
2 Cup wheat flour
3 tbsp rava
¼ tsp cardamom powder
1 cup milk + Some more for later
3 tbsp Cocoa powder
1/4 tbsp Vanilla flavour
Oil for frying
For sugar syrup:
2½ cup sugar
2½ cup water

Blend to smooth puree. Transfer the banana puree to a large bowl.
Add 2 cup wheat flour, 3 tbsp rava, ¼ tsp cardamom powder.
Add 3 tbsp Cocoa powder, and 1/4 tbsp of vanilla flavour.
Mix well making sure everything is well combined.
Now add milk as required and mix using a whisk.
Whisk for 5 minutes or until the batter is lump-free.
Rest the batter for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the sugar syrup.
Take 2½ cup sugar, 2½ cup water and 3 pods cardamom.
Stir well until the sugar melts completely.
Boil for 5 minutes or until the sugar syrup turns sticky consistency.
Now add few drops of Vanilla flavour and mix well.
Keep aside.
Now 4-5 tbsp of Malpua batter in a ladle over hot oil.
Shallow fry in medium hot oil.
Flip over and fry both sides till the Malpua gets cooked completely.
Wait till the Malpua turns golden brown.
Drain off the oil and press gently.
Dip in sugar syrup and soak the Choco-Banana Malpua on both sides for 2 minutes or till it absorbs sugar syrup.
Finally serve Malpua with sugar syrup on top of it!!

My experienced Tips!!!
Add pinch of baking soda, to better smoothness of the batter.
Add milk as much as required. Batter must be in the consistency of Dosa batter.
When you deep fry the Malpua batter in medium heat oil, Keep frying till the outer layers becomes crunchy.
If the sugar syrup has been cooled down, then it helps to absorb the syrup well on Malpua.
You can serve Malpua with garnished cashew nuts on the top
You can also serve with sugar syrup or Rabdi
