Recently I was able to visit the pioneer of classical ballet in El Salvador, Alcira Alonso, who at ninety-two years of age is in very good health. It is ironic that before the pandemic she had several ailments due to her age while all of us were relatively well and in times of confinement when we are all having a bad time, she has not had complications. I think that the mandatory quarantine made her rest a lot and enjoy her grandson which is reflected in her attitude.
