stubby little fingers trace his mother's cheeks, across the expanse of freckles that speckle her skin. those very same freckles are on his own cheeks, growing darker and more vivid against his skin the longer he spends playing in the sun.

her words though not fully understood are enough to make him smile , enough to make him feel so completely loved and adored by @weatherwltch .

cuddling into her side as they bask in the warmth of the midday sun , grass poking through his shirt and prickling his skin, ace casts his gaze upwards to watch wispy clouds breeze by. he imagines they have shapes to them until they morph into all the shapes he wants to see ; sailboats, giant octopi, whales--- and he rambles all of this off.
