secret santa submission!
from: @vhstown to @gimmeyourlovepls !
“Hey, babe!”
You whipped your head around to see Miles, and a smile immediately broke out on your face. You hadn't seen each other in ages — finals and all. The both of you had been busy, but looked like he just came out of his last exam.
“Miles! Hey—”
Before you could finish your sentence, he tackled you in a tight hug, pressing his lips wherever he could find on your face. You couldn't help but burst into laughter, trying to pry yourself off of him to no avail.
Damn Spider-strength… You didn't actually mind, though. There was no way you could when it was him.
“How was your— your exam?” you stuttered out in-between laughs, his own giggles making your chest spin.
“Doesn't matter,” he replied, finally reaching up to hold your face. “How was your day?”
Another chuckle escaped you, and you could see how that made the light in his eyes brighten.
“Good. Good, baby.”
“Good,” he repeated, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“How was yours?”
“Well, I missed you, for starters.”
“Miles…” You frowned playfully, reaching up to pinch his cheek. He winced slightly, face bashful with his admission.
“Fine, fine... I missed you so much.”
“That's not what I meant!” You had to stop yourself from smiling when he chuckled again.
“What, you're mad at me now?” he joked.
“Yeah…” you replied, in your best “I’m mad at you” voice, though you couldn't hide your amusement.
“Ah man, what am I gonna do?” Miles suddenly pulls away, hands on the sides of his head.
You pressed your lips together at his dramaticness. This man was going to be the end of you.
“I dunno, you really messed up this time.”
“I really did, huh?” He shakes his head slowly, before sighing loudly. “Oh well, guess I'm gonna have to go to that ice cream place all alone.”
“Guess so,” you replied, already anticipating what you were going to do as he took a step away.
“Man…”
Before he could turn to look back, you wrapped your arms around him from behind, the two of you bursting out into laughter all over again as you pressed yor lips to his cheeks.
“You're seriously not taking me?” you teased.
“If that means I'm forgiven.” With that smile, you almost gave in.
“We'll see about that.”
“Cariño…” Miles groaned, turning around to pull you into a proper hug. “Please?”
“Fine,” you answered, rolling your eyes a little. So much for that.
Mies took the opportunity to press a kiss to your lips. Soft, chaste — so much like him. Now there was no way you couldn't forgive him.
“Ice cream?” he offered in a quiet voice, the small smile on his face ever-present. It was sunny outside, but your face wasn't warm because of the sun.
“Ice cream.” You took his hand, ready to go to that place you'd been wanting to go to for a while.
“Phew…” His sigh of relief made you bite back another smile — though you were starting to miss his.
“And by the way,” you started, catching his attention as the two of you walked. “I missed you too.”
Miles had grinned all the way to the store at that.
