Let's go to the second part because I forgot some things!

@edwardashley reminded me about Christos Lawton (source).

There is Stephanie Hayes as Emilia too, but I don't remember where I got that information from, sorry.

And of course the rumor about Justin Kirk. The rumor came up on reddit, if I remember correctly, about someone saying that he was in Prague for filming and that if all went well he would be a recurring cast member, then people started suggesting that maybe he is Marius. I don't remember exactly what happened, of course you can correct me with the right information please.

Now back to the teaser!

He is a drummer and he will also play the instrument in the theater, I don't know about you but I am already loving the little band. He is with Matej, Assad and Kp in the picture below.

And then I'm confused about some others that I couldn't find.

I notice it's not the same men here with Santiago, because one has a beard to grow (probably human) and the other doesn't (probably vampire), so I think maybe they're Arthur MacBain and/or Jan Janca?

Let's move on because there are vampires in the coven that I don't know about.

So here we have the angry blonde who is Ben Daniels as Santiago, Jennie My Dunne, Suzanne, Esme, Jake Cecil as Gustave, and then someone behind Assad as Armand who I think is Matej, the other light green is Jan Hofman, and then Kp and Jordan. The white hearts are unknown actors.

When the scene changes, there is a person in the background with his back to everyone and someone behind Kp, who I believe is Jan Hofman.

I believe they are in 12 vampires from what I could count, there are 3 unknown members, those two with the white hearts and one more that appears here with the face painted white. I put two hearts here because I think Ben Daniels is drinking from Matej so that would leave this one on the right that I don't know who it is. (Guys I'm terrible at saving faces that quickly, it takes too long and I need to stare until the image enters my brain, sorry.)

In short there are 3 more vampires to "be discovered" and if that man on stage with Santiago is also a vampire (the one with the blank face) and he is not one of those three remaining, then there will be 13 vampires. Obviously it doesn't stop there being more, we just don't know and will have to wait for s2 anyway. Shit!

...Did I count right? It's probably wrong…yeah...

I will always defend book Armand over this weirdass retcon and I'm a Muslim. Let them have their cake and eat it all, they support girls being raped, they support extreme DV, they support a Lestat that doesn't resemble any version of any Lestat known to man, I hope they drown in their feels. Leaves more room for the intelligent chatter to have adult conversations. The show has nothing to do with the VC universe except hypocrites.

I mean... I'm Muslim too, born and raised. I don't even know how this became an issue. I make a few posts this morning and suddenly I'm a racist and a pedo for wanting to see my favourite character in some sort of canon-like depiction. Like, damn. Now, I've lived my life and I have a thick skin but it's hilarious to me how this is essentially JA!Louis all over again.

It's such an anti-intellectual straw man argument to level against perfect strangers because they don't share your fandoms opinions. How does that truly negate anything I said and how am I supposed to respond to that? Sorry, I actually experienced rampant Islamophobia growing up visibly Muslim in post-9/11 New York. My real name is as Arab as you could possibly get, the TSA loves me. Me sharing my opinions on a casting choice for a crappy show on tumblr dot com is not racism or xenophobia, I'm sorry to tell you.

Me being upset about Armand's casting has nothing to with Assad Zaman. I would love to see more queer Muslim rep! It's an issue I've cared about since I was young, since it obviously affects my community directly. And I've said several times Rashid would be great as his own character! The absolute circles I have talked around myself to try to articulate my own opinions on my own blog every time it's come up in the past so I won't upset anyone... frankly, it's ridiculous.

And yes, the hypocrisy between people bitching about us Armand fans while wholeheartedly supporting the changes made to Claudia's character is unbelievable. Clearly, it's fine that Claudia in a "14-year-old's body" talks about sex all the times and is raped off-screen. It's fine she demands of her guardians, "Which one of you is gonna fuck me?!" and etc. This never happened in text, this is AMC creating problems that didn't exist. Not two weeks ago the same people were like "Oh, what if they're merging Claudia and Armand's stories together??"

So it's fine as long as they're getting what they want, that's the tl; dr of it all. This show pulled in less than half a million cable viewers last weekend, alright? It's really not that serious outside of our super nerd fandom spaces. It's not the successor to The Walking Dead AMC hoped it would be.

I don't talk about my religion a lot because this is a fandom blog, not a personal one. And I don't buy into the nonsense of having to reveal my private life in order to lend credibility to my opinions on a platform of strangers. I'm not going to list off my entire life history in the hope some randoms will take me seriously about vampires. And why would I share anything with people who behave like this?

But I do mention it in passing here and there and it is common knowledge to my fandom friends (Rashid praying was a fun time in the chat), so I don't want you to feel alone, anon. ❤️

Hello :) I just want to say I love your blog and your thoughts on iwtc. Sorry, another new fan here of the universe :)I absolutely adored Loustat and hopefully we'll see them share a scene in S2. I am a very feelings person and I've adored seeing Sam and Jacob doing press and how close they are with amazing chemistry. Itll just feels strange seeing Jacob probably doing promo with mostly Assad next season. I don't meant to sound nasty but I hope him and Jacob don't have the same chemistry and bromance as Jacob and Sam. I'll miss them too much :/

Also if we didn't get any Loustat cuteness on S2, and if S2 isn't as Loustat heavy, I hope the viewership doesn't dwindle because of it and we might not get better seasons where they have a HEA later on?

Welcome to the madness of the Vampire Chronicles :))) (especially with the other asks today^^^^).

I think no-one has seen the likes of Sam's and Jacob's chemistry for a long time... it totally floored us, the producers, the cast and all the interviewers I've read. And ... AMC and the producers (and writers etc) KNOW what they have there. That's gold, right there. And we already got the confirmation that Loustat will be one of the pillars of this show, and will continue to be so. Not without difficulties, of course, but... then where would be the fun in that 😈

Louis, Armand and Lestat share a very special... relationship in the books. I personally think Assad fits very well with them, and I for one cannot see how Armand and Lestat will interact onscreen, in past Paris and modern Dubai.

I do know what you're saying though, I too want aaaaaaaaaall the Jam Reiderson cuteness we can possibly get next season. But I wouldn't mind it either if they ... expanded it?! 😈

As per the promo - no worries. There is NO WAY that Sam will not be part of the promo tour. And there is NO WAY either that Lestat will not be massively part of season 2 as well. In fact I, personally, believe that the end of season 2 will segue into (the premise for) TVL... and for that - you need Lestat. If it will be cute though... we'll see. 😅

I've said it in another ask, I think a lot of the "old" fans are waiting (sitting on their hands, gnawing on their nails) for TVL to be adapted. And QotD properly. And the other books. We know they're planning that. AMC has the experience with long running shows. So I don't think especially future seasons are going to lose viewers. And the show has only started to be streamed in some countries. A colleague told me just yesterday that he watched it and was totally insane about it - in a meeting with others... Just sayin'. It'll find its way :)

Loustat will stay the dynamic they're building on, Rolin said so only the other day. Let's hope we'll get the full 10 season *laughs*

I'm glad someone likes my theories because I have a lot of theories and ideas related to how the change to Armand's race is going to affect the story moving forward. I might make a big post about it but that's going to take time and I'm not sure if people would be interested. But I believe it goes far deeper than that one post. Because it also leads to tweaks with the characterization of Marius. Which leads to the whole weird Marius and Lestat comparison dichotomy thing they had going on. And then the David issue and how they're going to handle that can of worms. I also believe this will lead to changes to Pandora and the rest of Marius's fledglings. Again, I have a lot of theories. I'm just not sure if people are interested enough for me to actually write them all down in a post

I would 1000% read it. I have like half a cell rn so I will contribute next to nothing atm but I love theories about the show. I have a lot myself but I'm just too lazy to write them out LOL

But yeah no I'm almost hoping they scrap David's character (sorry if you like him, but I never did and imo he adds very little to the story as a whole). But either way, it's going to be interesting to see the changes to Armand's character in greater depth. He is the same person, and likely has very similar trauma, but it's altered by the change in his race and religion, which only adds new traumas and context to him as a person. Tbh I'm a little worried with how the writers will handle it, but I trust Assad and the cast/crew as a whole to do a good job with it, considering how they did with S1. Assad is going to be amazing as Armand regardless though - he was literally the perfect choice for the role, considering the changes they've made so far.
