how to use uBlock Origin to block a gene/eyetype/whathaveyou (providing the source image is hosted on flightrising.com) on all websites
1a. Use the datasheet linked by magebee here to identify the ID of your gene (columns Y, AC and AG). Direct link to the sheet if you’d rather that.
1b. If your gene/eyetype/whathaveyou is newer than the last update date of the spreadsheet, you’ll have to open the image of a dragon with that gene in a separate tab and check out the url. Within the URL, the bodygene parameter corresponds to the primary gene, winggene corresponds to the secondary gene, tertgene corresponds to the tertiary gene, and eyetype corresponds to the eye type.
2. With the ID in hand, open up uBlock Origin’s options and add the corresponding filter. I’ll place the format for all genes and eye types below. Replace the word number with the corresponding numerical ID of your gene:
I’ve used Giraffe (bodygene 12) for the below example.
Note that ancient versions of genes have separate gene IDs and will require a separate filter.
3. Watch as the corresponding gene disappears any time you view a dragon with it! This will apply to all websites with images embedded images using links that are hosted by Flight Rising at flightrising.com. If they have hosted images elsewhere, e.g. on Imgur, this will not work.
im like the 87th person to complain about this but abbs having 2 button eyes and 1 normal eye is so weird, after scrying button on one of my abbs i actually went and checked buttons on the other two abb sprites to see if it was an error. even if it's intentional it looks like they just forgot to add a 3rd button 😭
everyone quick run to frd to see us americans live out their stereotypes on the funny dragon game!!! /j (though... three whole people couldn't read a word because they saw the word British near it... LMAO)
Shout out to Aether f pose’s face for being the most terrifying thing on fr. Every time I lay my eyes on one that dragon in particular steals and consumes a piece of my soul.
And they said they did it so that Auraboa Paisley looks more like how it does on Coatls and Skydancers, i.e. for consistency... but the problem is that a bunch of secondary genes don't look like how it does on Coatls and Skydancers either :|
With the number of genes that are like this... it seems more like it was a stylistic choice rather than a bug?? Other than the highlight issue maybe, but yeah. Hoping they listen to people's feedback and revert this.
Apologizes in advance if I'm misunderstanding your post somehow; don't mean to offend or be rude in any way-
I was indeed saying that the top part are being treated like how manes are for other breeds, and I did show that for Hypnotic, Peregrine, and Breakup.
But I was saying that Paisley now does not match this trend. The top part of the wing is no longer solid-colored like the manes on other breeds. The whole wing is now colored similarly to a Skydancer wing.
Manes for Paisley are solid-colored with highlights. That's how it was on Auraboa before the change, with the top part being solid-colored.
So FR staff released an update to Auraboa Paisley
It used to look like this
Now it looks like this

Pro-tip: don't scry your dragons with KS items because then you'll fall in love with how they look and throw yourself into the sea trying to obtain said items.
This post was made by a man having a mental breakdown over Hornhelms
I am also going to take this as an opportunity to stir the pot regarding whether or not FR should unretire KS items. Personally I would love it, but I don't see it as something that would ever happen, so I'm not putting out hope of any kind.
