#em draws stuff #the flight of the heron #ewen cameron #keith windham #approximately five hundred people have painted things about 'la belle dame sans merci' and this is based on henry meynell rheam's #lots of challenges in this one but I think it turned out fairly well! #some things I'm not satisfied about but a couple of months ago I would never have tried something this ambitious #let alone produced a result that I was at all fond of! #at the time I wrote out the rest of this I'd been staring at it for near three days and was just picking at details of leaves and such #but now that it's had some time to steep again it is making me Feel again... #as to the background I'll admit that try as I might marin always seems to creep into any kind of shore-painting I do #so if the feeling's a little off there it's likely owed to that #I am sad about THEM and I am sad about being FAR FROM THE SEA #I can be sad about multiple things in one art piece - it gives it Flavor
