cumulus & mountain. shes minding her own business, making her morning coffee & shit. then mountain walks his gangly ass in, telling her how pretty she is, how much he loves her. he thinks he's smart but she sees right through it. she asks him if he needs something, and he goes dead silent. gets all flushed and shit, won't make eye contact with her. bro actually thought it was gonna work. poor dirt boy. poor, poor dirt boy.

Cumulus is always the first one up in the morning. The sun has just begun to rise when she wanders out of bed to the kitchen to prepare the coffee pot. This morning is no different. She yawns as she waits for the coffee to finish brewing, passes the time by tidying up the kitchen and putting away the dishes left in the sink. Just as she reaches for the pot to pour her morning coffee she hears a yawn from behind her. It’s Mountain. It usually is. Shirtless and silent as ever, his arms stretched out above his head and elongating the speckled planes of his abdomen. His tail reaches out and flicks behind him to rid his muscles of the remaining hold of sleep. Cumulus’ lips curl up into a smile at the strained and drawn out vocalization that escapes from his lips as he finishes his stretches. It’s cute. She always enjoys the time they’re granted, just the two of them, before another ghoul wanders in with sleepy eyes and messy hair. She greets him, gives him their usual ‘good morning’ and offers him a small smile over her shoulder before grabbing her favorite mug from the rack. 

She expects him to go to his spot at the table, the one at the head that faces the tv, so he can do yesterday’s crossword or sudoku puzzle from the paper, but she’s surprised when he chooses to press himself to her back and wrap strong arms around her middle. He hugs her tight, works his arms under her tank top, and nuzzles into her messy hair that’s thrown up into a bun. “You always look so pretty in the morning,” he says, his voice ridden with sleep still, and Cumulus huffs out a laugh through her nose. “Beautiful, radiant, like a springtime goddess…”

She continues making her coffee, filling her mug and adding a splash of cream, and Mountain watches from over her shoulder, hugging her tightly and pressing her as close to himself as possible. His hands wander over her belly and her hips, up her sides and down again. He sighs, breathes in her sweet scent and brushes his lips against the shell of her ear. “Love you, all of you.” Cumulus hums, lets him worship her body for the thousandth time. “Your heart, your voice, your gorgeous body… Every inch of you is perfect.” 

“Mount, do you need something?” He freezes against her back, faltering for a brief second before resuming his touching. Busted. She knows the massive ghoul like the back of her hand, but the press of his hard-on against the small of her back was a give away from the beginning. “You seem like you need something.” He shakes his head, wholly unconvincing, and buries his face into her babyhairs at the nape of her neck, breathes in her scent as she leans forward to spoon a scoop of sugar into her mug. “Well I’m going to go sit by the window and watch the sun finish rising if you would like to join me.” He groans, red-faced, and releases her. His fingers linger on her hips before falling away completely. When Cumulus turns, mug in hand, she finds him fixed on a point on the wall much higher than her head and chuckles at his obvious failed attempt at a quick morning fuck. 

The ghoulette makes her way around him, grazing her hand over the bulge in his pajama pants as she passes and Mountain curses through his teeth. 

“Oops,” she grins and lays an innocent hand on his shoulder. His shoulders slump in an almost comical defeat and she chuckles, motions towards his dick with a nod of her head. “You should really watch out where you point that thing.” 

Mountain groans.

pink im frightened. why is everyone talking about aether poofing. when the fuck did we get a new ghoulette. what is happening.

the tour started today and the first ritual just ended! we have new ghouls, phantom and (still unsure about the ghoulette) either dusk or aurora it seems.

it was definitely shocking but don’t even worry your sweet little head because look! phantom is literally the epitome of raindrop and I am in love with them already.

(and he acts like dewdrop pt2 so prepare yourself)

also the new ghoulette has a fucking insane vocal range and absolutely went off during moac. there’s a video out there somewhere but I’ve been so scrambled between twt and tumby today I can’t be bothered to find it again.

swim high swim high swim high. gotta love those two

swim high was the original name for once twice melody. it's based off of this song (i recommend listening to it if you like dreamy music. + it's also just a really sexy song).

this wip is still just an idea so i don't have much to offer you in writing but it was supposed to be the scene mentioned in OTM where dew talks about mist helping him harness his own powers when he was freshly summoned. when she helps him float for the first time, just as dew had with rain. it's intimate, it's emotional, and it's the story of a blooming relationship between dew and his first mentor and friend. i may still write it one day if y'all are interested. we shall see.
