For the first time I'll use the expression that grate on people's nerves: the spirit of these statements are two things that can coexist.
Btw I still highly recommend watching this Great simplification movie as I think it gives a pretty lucid overview of our past and current situation regarding energy/environment, and the possible outcomes, and more. Perfect to become a bit less blind as they say. :)
