just learned that every country has a standard drink which is a definition of how much ethanol an average hypothetical alcoholic drink contains and in most countries that standard drink contains 10g ethanol. some have set it at 8, 12, or 14. but there’s one country that overrules them all by defining the standard drink to contain 20g of ethanol and that outlier is Austria.
