#anti tvd #katherine pierce #like this was the first time i was genuinely excited for her journey as a character #whereas before i was just. somewhat indifferent #and then the trajectory of her narrative went downhill so fast as the writers ignored all the existing possibilities and the gold mine #that was right in front of them #just to prioritize st*ferine a problematic as hell dynamic between two characters i disliked #[sighing forever] #there were so many different available routes to pursue tbh #katherine's identity crisis as a human and not a 500 year old runaway #but a survivor who no longer had any power or advantage over her enemies and would have to confront this fact #as well as all the violence she caused and hatred she garnered because of her ''survivor'' mindset and how it would leave her vulnerable #i mean damon took pity on her but clearly he was ready to give her up to silas in the interests of his brother which meant he didn't value #katherine's safety as much and had no reason to (also damon more or less imparted this sentiment onto elena) #(and had an elena>katherine mindset) #(which i mean is perfectly understandable) #also like katherine's newfound identity as a mother and the fact that evidence of her traumatic past was now living and breathinh #and desired a relationship #but katherine didn't necessarily feel an obligation to reach out to nadia which is like. a fair enough perspective?? #that didn't necessarily make her a bad person either #and also like her and jeremy's interactions earlier on were so well written #and it was all thrown away #goddamnit #i h8 the writers tbh #annabelle speaks
