r/transgendercirclejerk is a horrible place where depressed transgenders mock every other subreddit by larping as transphobic AITA posters and saying tranny every 5 seconds. and yet, it’s somehow better at inter-community solidarity than half of tumblr. i guess there’s nothing like the sweet embrace of people who’ve lost their will to live.

#i find tgcj very cathartic in limited doses #which i guess is saying something because i have a pretty fucked up sense of humor #but the folks on there are genuinely really nice #reddit is a strange place #overall it’s incredibly hostile to trans people #and the main trans subreddits are pretty miserable #but there’s less stupid petty infighting #which makes sense #if there are actual transphobes everywhere you waste less time worrying about the guy who’s bEiNG tRaNS WrOnG #not that tumblr doesn’t also have plenty of terrible people #they just read more andrea dworkin and less jordan peterson #deja q
