My #1 post of 2022

so i found a jurassic park parody musical...

rating: ♾️/10, absolute masterpiece

highlights include:

the singing/parodies of famous songs with hits such as pure imagination but the songs are about dinosaurs

the dancing dinosaurs

mr. dna, the actor was super into it and played that role to perfection

john yelling FINE WE'LL GIVE THE DINOSAURS SKIRTS

alan and ellie taking things somewhat seriously and their little science talks

ian. just his whole character was fantastic, he was chaotic, had a solo and was almost always in the background flirting with...something (there's this one scene where muldoon and alan are having a Serious Conversation about how This is Bad and it looks like ian is...trying to chat up a tap dancing velociraptor in the background? at the end of the scene one looks at him and makes a "call me" gesture) and im just ???? this man will try to date anything that moves he can also be seen flirting with extras

THE DANCING DINOSAURS (they're so good they deserve multiple mentions)

the scene with the t rex, there was no flare instead ian just burst out of the car and started dancing with the t-rex AND IT WORKED they sang a whole little song together. it was fantastic.

so y'know the famous dr malcolm pose™️ well in this play they had him lying on a wheeling table and whenever he had something to contribute to dialogue or needed to come on/offstage one of the people offstage pushed his table out and pulled it back in it's one of the stupid little things in this musical but i laughed so hard and had to rewatch this sassy man being pushed on/offstage on a table with his arm in the air several times

THE RAPTOR'S SONG was awesome

DON'T LIKE HISTORY

People keep telling me they're not into history. If they're thinking about high school, textbooks, or documentaries on the history channel, then I understand completely. Forced learning stinks for sure. Especially when it's about something long ago or in a faraway land.

I see it differently. I would argue that most love history. Their formal K-12 school education setting and style aren't the first thing I see. Like the title character in the August Rush movie, history "is all around us."

We think of famous architecture and landmarks.

It almost doesn't matter what you do enjoy. Most likely, you do enjoy history. Let me prove it to you.

Sports is the number one pastime in America. Can a football fan tell you the famous players and games by their team? If I say, Walter Payton or Joe Montana, do they know who I'm talking about? Of course, they do. Just like Wayne Gretzky or Bobby Orr in hockey,

Mickey Mantle and Ozzie Smith in baseball,

or Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain in basketball. They know about the Ice Bowl, the Miracle on Ice, the 1989 Bay Area World Series, and recognize the Triple Crown Award (more than one sport).

How about Heisman Winners in the past? How many great college players can you name that were terrible in the pros? I can name several and I am no expert. Who were the best college players ever?

Has anyone ever moved through a defensive line like Barry Sanders or will anyone ever again? I miss watching that guy play!

Car buffs love their cars. Some love the Shelby Cobra and others go back to the Duesenberg and Vauxhall's.

Cars have become a part of Hollywood lore as well, with Knight Rider, The Dukes of Hazzard, The A-Team, the Batmobile, the Ghostbusters ambulance, and Jurassic Park jeeps.

I love movies and thought about going to USC for film school. If I spoke about Steven Spielberg affecting people with his movies, would it make sense? Jaws made people afraid to go into the water. Indiana Jones made people want to explore. His movies moved the public's perception from fear of Orson Welles' War of the Worlds

to his own tale of wonder in Close Encounters of the Third Kind and then to an awkward loveable buddy E.T.

Schindler's List broke the world's heart with portrayals of the holocaust. Jurassic Park brought dinosaurs back to life.

Do you realize that Jurassic Park was released in June of 1993? I graduated high school months before. Now I feel old.

Even in television shows, what was your favorite? Was it Mash? It was a rare combination of heart-clutching realities, tender moments, and needed comic relief. I watched the final episode.

Maybe it was Seinfeld or Friends.

Or Alex Trebek who's no longer with us, just like Robin Williams. Such great entertainment history.

I love music and its history.

Most who love cooking have heard the name Julia Child. I know people that were friends. She was a legend.

Collect shoes? Here's a picture of Chuck Taylor sneakers from their first go-round.

I love business history and remember this well.

Fashion is an obsession in America. Even I know about Oscar de la Renta, Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, and Versace.

I love the scene in the movie The Devil Wears Prada, with Meryl Streep explaining to Anne Hathaway where her careless fashion choices were decided by the people in the room.

"This… “stuff”? Oh, okay. I see you think this has nothing to do with you.

You… go to your closet, and you select… I don’t know, that lumpy blue sweater for instance, because you’re trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back, but what you don’t know is that that sweater is not just blue, it’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis, it’s actually cerulean.

You’re also blithely unaware of the fact that, in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns, and then I think it was Yves Saint Laurent, wasn’t it?… who showed cerulean military jackets? I think we need a jacket here.

And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. Then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic casual corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin.

However, that blue represents millions of dollars of countless jobs, and it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry, when in fact, you’re wearing a sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room… from a pile of “stuff.”

Undoubtedly, Hatheway's character was unaware and probably didn't care, but everyone in the room did. It is the world they love and they know the history very well.

One more for the crowd. Who remembers playing these?

I wish we'd talk about the history of our loves that way. History still evokes emotion and memories, even just seeing pictures.

Don't you love sports history, cinema history, art history, fashion history, business history, and automobile history?

Maybe it's just me and my random thought for today.

In The sopranos there's a scene where Tony and Chris wantasani chased down a character at the insurance building we were saying it was dave when it's really Trump. And he's the one who sent the letter and what a waste of space that values he's just sitting here making our son's life miserable and her son's letting him know it and Trump gets hit and does it a year like some sort of airheaded idiot doesn't have any clue that he gets shot killed and knife and run over by cars for what he's doing. The guy is a complete moron we have not given him anything only taking companies and tons of money weaponry tons of troops robots for every single infraction that guy pays through the nose so you tell us what to do with the guy is such a fruit cake not like we're going to stop with ramping it up and yeah other people too are taking this stuff I'm surprised that he's still here very surprised that he's King as well but really it's the title and he's a fool and we don't care because BJ's going to kill him cuz he wants the title and he's a fool. That's the way it goes and BJ has waited a long long time. We're going to hit him pretty good and this thing with the insurance companies coming up up there in New Jersey and he is going to forget he's going to regret what he's been doing hey it's a broken phone and the guys are moron it doesn't care he does around telling people too during the movie. Matter of fact he's the guy who run running through the woods with a yellow jacket on so when they caught up to him they said you shouldn't have got your leg hurt and he's starting to arguing so it's just a little thing and he shot the s*** out of him he came back after about a day and a half said I'm going to go get the boy now so he's shot him again whenever he said it. Now it's an awful game that they're in in a lot of stuff to do and everybody hates him from what he's doing right here in Pg. We have people as far away as Wisconsin and they're putting warrants on him and they're sending them here all over the world people put warrants in that guy. And on Cherry cheeseman and they're doing it to shut them off. And the two idiots get more riled and do stupider things and people are sitting in a lot more than just a few people down cuz they're almost pretty much evacuated, and then say there's his work and it really is and people will stand you have to be people and doing nothing that's what he did during his presidency

We have 10 people who are seeking him on warrants this morning here and put together and they're from Florida and they're valid and they're trying to get them out of the apartment or wherever they can get him. Five of those words now there's five more warrants on Cherry cheeseman and three warrants on Dan. And they're going after them and the local police and the sheriff are.

This morning they fired 100 sherrif out of the 200 actually fired they were surprised. Out of those 100 fired about 20 were arrested in the facility 20 more were arrested right outside the facility the remaining 60 we're seeing hovering around the neighborhood and eventually we're arrested these people are f*** they're true homos like cheeseman and Trump and think things happen because you're annoying someone they're they're ridiculous okay you can see it in Jurassic Park and why they get killed you see that's going to sit there and do that to a dinosaur and people call us dinosaurs that really he's kind of a Dino but not full-blown we're just going to stop you forever and you're asking for it it's a great movie to get an idea it's standing there making stupid noises and the monster spits poison all over him in a raincoat on and could have used it this is breathing it in. The other guy goes in his s****** and it's a teeny one and it's nothing to it it's right in the way that says no he was in there like an a****** you know they had a problem it's true too he's an idiot right by being in there yelling too yelling and these monsters here if you step on the floor and makes a noise. It's a few other scenes that are worth mentioning but your boobs okay. And this one where really famous guy dies it's not exactly BG it's one of his is famous for a couple movies including Independence Day one and two and he gets lifted right out of the vehicle and the one driving wasn't pushing the vehicle as fast as it can go and his name is David in the movie and it's a sign of someone's to go after small groups and it's not Trump. Okay it was a trumpster just up as Dave who is not one of Bee gees people and he died looking around craining his neck insisting he was invincible that I said keeping his eyes opened. In a few others too doesn't see it there in the aviary practically everyone's died and you have to stay away from the ones that can fly by and pick you up the other ones you can fight off because they're smaller so go to the open area and they're all screaming and yelling and the bird flies by and picks one up flies up again picks one up it goes up like that you see it kills them in piles them up. And instead of the open area finally they run to the door I mean it's ridiculous it's a heartache. They were talking about it and we are too but these people are assholes and they're not very good in a fight or anything against someone like Tommy f there's nothing the hell out there so put your forwards now that he moves out he's got to move out there there illegally

I got to tell you you two have to move out cuz we're telling you to move out if you don't you're going to go through hell every few minutes

That means Trump and Terry cheesman you don't even belong there and you're disgustingly evil and stupid we'll see to your own realm and your own plan and your own kind

i've consumed almost no wester popular movies except for animated and horror ones (and every tim burton movie available) and i'm in the mood to look at real people so can someone please recommend me something,, if it has johnny depp in it even better

Forgive me for being so late eheh, I couldn't figure out who's who or what's what from the list plus being busy irl BUT HEY! Finally I can join this countdown!

Ok so I'm gonna do like from day 1-recent

Favorite Character

Darius Bowman & Kenji Kon

TBFH I LOVE ALL CAMP FAM CHARACTERS. They all had great character development plus clear motivation on why they did what they did. Those stuff got handled so well and ugh it made me so hard to choose ahaha.

Anyway, I love Darius because he's such a dino nerd. Plus his "never give up" spirit that inspired me as the audience to stay strong when things do fall apart. He's such a precious boi 🥺

And then Kenji. *sigh I hated, HATED this boi since he got introduced. But then as the eps kept going, I realized that he's just a teen that made mistakes and learn from them. The scene in S1 ep 6, when the kids were doing kayak river thing and Kenji told Brooklyn to stop bothering Sammy? Yeah, that's when I doubted my hatred . In S2 I started to actually love his character! He's just so....dumb and innocent lmaooo. The thing is for a comedic character I loved how he also has depth and development :D

Favorite Friendship

CAMP FAM! (Darius, Ben, Kenji, Yaz, Sammy, Brooklyn)

First they're uh- reminded me of the losers club from IT *cough Ben and Eds *cough- especially

Anyway the dynamic and chemistry are awesome! I really hope in S3 there will be more deep convo like in S1 ep 7 (at the monorail, before Ben's near death fall). Them bonding with knowing and understanding each other's feelings is just 🥺😥😭💞

Favorite Ship

Dave & Roxie

Hmm I'm not into shipping but the closest that I really had interest with are Dave & Roxie and Darius & Brooklyn. But Dave & Roxie is just so cute and fun lol. Like the cool uncle and aunt that genuinely cared even if yes, they did made a lot of mistakes while doing it.

Favorite Funny Scene

S1 Ep 3, when Ben was the one who drive the gyrosphere (idk if this spelled right lmao) and Kenji being the passenger

There are many memorable funny scenes but THIS ONE was the first ever scene that made me wheezed (looking back, I used to think that CC wasn't that good oop- so yeah doubted it but hey look at where I am now!). Kenji's face and Dave and Roxie just "smile and wave" I remember holding my laugh so no one can get disturbed (the first time I watched CC was at night time lol)😭🤣

Favorite Sad Scene

After I rewatch S1, I changed my mind on Ben's near death fall and choose the convo in the monorail.

This isn't really a sad scene but to me when rewatching it, it made me cry. Like seriously real tears what-

"now that it's over, what are the odds if we'll see each other again", everyone is silent then Jurassic World/Park theme played YO I STARTED TO FEEL SO EMO ESPECIALLY WITH THE THEME PLAYED 😭

And then "My dad used to say this place was Allosaurus in the bag of chips" gosh when Darius' voice cracked it broke me- yes I crieeeeeed

Favorite Episode

S2 Ep 8

Ugh this episode and finale is much much better than S1 (it's not that I hated s1's finale it's just s1 was wayyyy more depressing man :( ). Camp fam is together again and Darius completed his arc here (he has serious guilt issue since Ben's fall and I'm glad it got resolved here). This episode was sooooo fun with the actions! And the cliffhanger? I was terrified of what'll come next, but overall I really really enjoy it ahaha 😁💖

And bonus : Kenji learned to ride a motorbike made me so happy when the first time I watched it. I relate so much because that time I was learning to ride one too haha.

I've seen @nellplays talk about the @attollo game, and I've had it in my to-play list for SO LONG and I'm finally playing it and I decided to do a live post because I never have and I want to and I hope it will be fun to read.

Main review:

Very well written and beautifully descriptive. I could SMELL those locations and for some of them it was more pleasant than others.

Someone brought up that it was confusing a while back and the only thing I found confusing was some of the time shifts. For some reason I thought we were in the same time period when we got the candy and it went to the sibling, I thought we'd just left the shop and gone back and the trip had just been skipped, and then suddenly we were back in the shop and it was clarified that the sibling stuff was in the past. I'm adhd though, so attention is an issue and this could be a me thing?

I can't believe I reached 3k followers!!! Thank you all so much!! When I started this blog, I hoped to reach 100 followers one day, and now here we are!

So to thank you all and mark the date, I'm making a little event! The theme is simple : movies!

What is it all about?

Under the cut are a list of prompts and scenes from different movies. You can choose between two different things that you would like me to write:

- You can choose between 1 and 5 prompts along with a character and I will write a one-shot based on these prompts for the character you have chosen

- You can choose one scene in the list and a character, and I will re-write that scene for the character you have chosen

A few rules to follow if you want to send a request.

- If you request for the prompts :

- You can request up to 5 prompts, not more

- You can add a few details that you would like to be featured in your request if you have precise ideas

- If you request a scene :

- I will write a one-shot that is inspired by that scene, not the exact same scene (obviously, otherwise, where is the fun?). The idea is to get the same spirit and some references, or the same situation, but not a simple copy.

- These scenes will require me to turn AU!, so don't be surprised.

- You can request only one scene, so choose wisely ;)

- I will most likely 'erase' the characters who were in the original scenes, so don't be surprised.

No matter if you request for prompts or for a scene :

- You can request for any character on my masterlist, no matter if I've already written for them or not.

- I have no trouble with anons, if you're a little shy. So don't hesitate to send a request on anon if you feel more comfortable this way.

- Please, send me your request through my askbox and not in a PM. It's much easier for me to manage, and I might forget about your request if you send it to me privately. If you're shy, send an ask on anon.

- Sadly, I will probably not be able to write all the requests that are sent my way. I will write as many as I can, but I'm only human. I'm sorry if I don't get to write your request. But I invite you to send it anyway, because I might write your request! If you don't send it, then you can be sure that I won't though. Again, I'm sorry if I can't write all the requests I receive, but I usually get too many to be able to write them all.

Requests for this event will be up for one week, which means until January 14!

Considering how well this event works, I may change that date along the way.

so i found a jurassic park parody musical...

rating: ♾️/10, absolute masterpiece

highlights include:

the singing/parodies of famous songs with hits such as pure imagination but the songs are about dinosaurs

the dancing dinosaurs

mr. dna, the actor was super into it and played that role to perfection

john yelling FINE WE'LL GIVE THE DINOSAURS SKIRTS

alan and ellie taking things somewhat seriously and their little science talks

THE DANCING DINOSAURS (they're so good they deserve multiple mentions)

the scene with the t rex, there was no flare instead ian just burst out of the car and started dancing with the t-rex AND IT WORKED they sang a whole little song together. it was fantastic.

THE RAPTOR'S SONG was awesome
