you can call the UN toothless - it is. you can say the veto power that the US shares with France, China, Russia and the UK is Fucking Bullshit and only reinforces the current hegemony of power and goes against the stated goals of the UN

you can say that the fact the only resolutions the UN has been able to take against the current Palestinian genocide were non-constraining (passed through the general assembly rather than the security council) is one more show of uselessness. that while it shows international support to Palestine, it is simply Not Enough

you can say all of that

you can Not, however, call the UN "puppets"

do you hear yourselves ??? do you fucking hear yourselves, calling an international governmental organ the "puppet" of some nefarious mastermind that just so happens to be defending Israel's interests ?? implying some sort of global control ??

if you want to fight for the rights of people, you cannot - Can Not rely on antisemitic tropes and dog-whistles

You Are Making People Feel Unsafe, Jewish people and other marginalized people who realize you will not hesitate to throw them under the bus if you get the excuse

You Are Reinforcing Dangerous Ideas, ideas that did, do, and will cause people their lives
