#eventually . yeah he does #it takes so much soul searching to be able to do because for the longest time he simply thought that brum was misinformed #just like the rest of them. #and then he went to a state of 'oh brum is a bad person but he raised me' and he felt guilty about damning him #and then eventually matthias realizes that his mentor not only brainwashed him but dozens of other boys #over years. took their anger and grief and used it for his advantage to create an order of #holy soldiers that are nothing more than boys and so ready to die for this cause because its the right thing and the honorable thing #and matthias realizes that you cannot simply try to cut the branches away from the rot of the tree #you must kill the root of it all #he snaps his neck btw :)
