If Luigi and Tails had first met, their reactions could have been different. A talking, double-tailed fox would likely scare the green plumber who would mistake him for a bad guy. Intentions of Tails end up being the contrary. When he encountered someone else who was from a different universe, Tails would introduce himself out of excitement. As they exchanged stories about their experiences, Luigi and the fox would become friends.

They both could relate to one another. Like what it was like to be an outsider and a shadow to their bigger brothers. Luigi discovers that brothers is not just determined by blood; a hedgehog and a fox may also be considered family.

If Luigi had brought the poltergust Tails may have offered to update the gadget. The fox would be let access to the kitchen to sample some of the spaghetti that Luigi had prepared.

The types of villains the Mario Bros. and Sonic Gang will face would definitely be covered in great depth.
