My thoughts for Legacies 316: (here we go again😂)
(I’m combining after thoughts with live thoughts)
1) The soundtracks for this episode are amazing, they fit very well even for Finsie that I heard that a lot of people were complaining on Reddit.
2) I finally get my team Sowanby! I just feel so much from them! They kind of make a great team, but please, do not go on another heist again. You both sucks at that! The holes are, the museum don’t have a fucking alarm for Leonardo DaVinci’s work? Are you kidding me? And Landon beating the shit out of the guard but not putting him out first is so dumb. The worst is Cleo calling Landon’s name so loud, I can’t😂😂😂😂😂😂 you don’t want people to be on your back when you have the Malivore threat going on guys! And ha! You guys are on the headline! That’s why I really feel like these supernaturals are so outdated and solidified from modern technology, even in 2030! Are you going to tell me everything technology will still be the same like now?? Come on, there’ll be cameras watching everywhere. Like they can see Cleo using magic! I need my Trimini (or bridge) coven and Hope starting to integrate the supernatural world with the modern world. About Trimini and Hope future career, click here.
Tumblr media
3) the line about “many who shaped it are never acknowledged” I stand! After that, about the key card my random thoughts were about Landon being the one that stole the key card😂 just out of the blue and I’m proven wrong though.
Tumblr media
4) Landon bonding with Cleo!!!! They thought the same way, and “I can promise that anyone that have to get to you, they have to get to me” is so strong! But the scene after, is the moment I started really doubting Landon, the look is too alarming. But there are still Sowanby scenes😭😭😭 and the melted heart mud... I mean I genuinely believed that the spell didn’t work because Landon is also mud himself. But in hindsight it is horrific, like the serial killer is just standing next to you but and the signs are right in front of you.
Tumblr media
5) Malivore mud being artistically friendly! I can’t haha! Oh and when Holarke walked on Sowanby inspiring moment🤣🤣🤣I can’t, they act like both of them are cheating on one another it’s hilarious. Thank you for acknowledging each other Holarke and Sowanby🤣. By now, I should have known that’s MaliLandon. It’s humiliating because Holarke and Sowanby got me so happy that I didn’t see the clues lmao! Because there’s this line: “Following the footstep of the Renaissance greatest man? ” but this thing, Cleo only did it with Leonardo, with whom she slept with......
6) And damn, after that, I felt like a FOOL, CLOWN, WHATEVER after that! All I have for team Sowanby is fake 🙃🙃🙃🤡🤡🤡 Anyway we still have to admit that the promise still stand true right, cuz it’s literal.🤣🤣🤣 MaliLandon fulfills his promise by eating Cleo. TYPICAL.
7) Holarke! Clarke is still handsome as ever😍. We can see his presence is clearly affecting Josie and making Hope giving him information. Can we talk about how cute is he sleeping soundly here?
Tumblr media
8) Lizzie being the only unaffected queen here. AND IT’S FINALLY LIZZIE’S TURN FOR “AD SONNUM” I can totally see her pleasantness in doing that to somebody after being on the receiving end🤣🤣🤣 Josie and Hope had done it before so now we actually see her doing it. I somehow feel completed.
9) The look Hope and Josie shared. Hosie!
10) Josie is going to be the death of me! I like her look. And how the camera moving upward gosh! And I’m totally digressing here, what is a razzleberry? And what is a slush? I have no idea what they are, I just feel like tasting what she tasting now. Lizzie’s line, crashing and splashing😂 Am I colour blind? Cuz I really can’t tell whether Hope is wearing dark blue or dark green 😅 if it’s green, then the traffic lights colour are back again lol. If blue, then Hosie matching clothes! Did Finsie ever have matching colours? I’m just wondering.
Tumblr media
11) Hosie scene! They talked about how seeing Clarke traumatised Josie~~ damn and Josie says traumatised is her permanent resting state. I mean even on her birthday she was buried alive lmao. And Hope wants to help Josie stop the traumas by sacrificing herself to defeat Malivore, like by literally dying. Which she didn’t want because she didn’t want to live forever.
12) Holarke scene again! I love all those banters and their dynamics😂😂 how Hope is the only one that trusts Clarke now. The mimic spell! It’s their thing😍😍. Oh it totally surprised me that Clarke isn’t mud man anymore. I’m really happy for him, because he finally break himself out of the abuse! It seems like triad is totally gone?? But I still kind of think that there may be something more? And Clarke’s reaction to Hope opening the artefact! 🤣🤣🤣 and the way that Clarke sensed the familiarity with Cleo! Yea boy, she’s the inspiration to the creation of you.
13) Clarke keeps calling Hope and Landon kids🤣 how’s the feeling of getting kid!Hope kicking your ass and saving you😂😂😂 oh she’s totally your equal. Frenemies at best! YES! I love Holarke bonding. And the fact that Clarke being Hope inspiration to believe in friendship and her family now can help her to defeat Malivore, I Stan! Don’t lose sight of the corner! Josie! Lizzie! Clarke! Yes you have them! I’m glad that Clarke didn’t die, I’ll be so mad because the writer would be bringing him back for nothing. Oh the incendia is painful, affecting me more than the fake looking MaliLandon eating Cleo. The height difference again🤣 with Holarke this time.
Tumblr media
14) I love Maleb clothes, not really shipping them just short form for their bromance😂 but I do enjoy if there suggests shipping cuz it’s fun! Love that them being supportive of each other, superheroing, and the hero name🤣🤣they’re clueless too. Poor Kaleb and Cleo. I really need his backstory 😫
15) about hero names, I’m still having playback of “blursome and essential” in my mind. MG is looking at the mask longer than Kaleb, I feel like he’s missing Ethan, like a lot. Another thing is, since we see the effect of someone else being compelled so clearly, but we never seen Ethan’s compelling effects. Or it’s a budget matter? They must be kidding right? So maybe Ethan is really faking it? So that leads us to Lethan....
16) if my suspicion is true, then damn, Ethan is using Lizzie to get into SBS? I’m worried for Lizzie’s wellbeing. Also the look on Josie when Ethan drives near tight after she said like some eligible will fall out of the sky🤣🤣🤣 the timing is impeccable lmao. For real, Lizzie wanting Ethan to be Hope’s rebound after her kiss with him in the trio imagination, is ....so the trio is now sharing guys now? Jandon is still there in the history! It’ll be like a very messing love multi-triangle😌😌😌
17) the way Lizzie talked about how Hope is perfect the whole way and judging by the day when they arrived at SBS? That’s very long! Lmao, Lizzie are you sure you’re not in love with Hope? Hizzie rights! (I don’t even know when I started to ship Hizzie, it’s a mystery🤣) I think I can only talk like that about my love. Why don’t you make you and your sister Hope’s rebound? I’ll be happy with what I get🤣
18) The decision to bring Ethan on a tour, is so bad. What if ethan ended up enrolling SBS and Alaric can’t deny the application? Did she ever think of that?? And Josie and Mg is going to face the consequences in the near future🤣 dreadful! From there I already felt the cliche sweetness that when you’re trying to be a wingwoman and ended up “selling” yourself out🤣🤣 fuck CW for cutting the scenes of Lizzie’s epic facial expression when she was slapped with her own words😂😂😂anyway, it’s no way she can refuse the ask out after 315 where Lizzie still thinks that she can’t be the chosen one when Hope is there, but someone actually chooses her even after all the Hope is perfect speech. As much as I mourn for Methan and Mizzie, I’m happy that she got someone to tell her that. But I think they’re destined to backfire😅
19) so does the Mizzie “will they won’t they?” officially end here? I’m confused. Btw it’s really a way to mention Sebastian’s death being relocated permanently 🤣 oh wait...she knew that that prison world is destroyed forever right????? Someone save me.
Tumblr media
20) okay I have to go back before Ethan picked the twins up: while Lizzie is actually worrying about themselves being stranded, Josie is just more concerned about Hope? Hosie! Poor Josie, she never sees that she is Hope soft spot and can totally make Hope happy too. Look at your dumb joke at 103, Hope’s laugh is magnificent too. It’s because of you. And yes I’m with Josie, I just ship Hope with herself and her axe right now, don’t put her with anyone for at least 5 more episode please.
21) The one that doesn’t dissolve into goo! Now is Clarke! And the both of you my dear twins. Btw, the dna thing, where Clarke confirms that dna is still toxic... so it applies to Landon too right? And it’s now just more overwhelmingly apparent that handon sex is without protection. Yea so much for epic love. And this is about the possibility where (hopefully) it’s not MaliLandon when the sex scene happened.
22) Finsie time! I got to say, it’s really improving. Their scene is beautiful, finally. That feeling that they’re nice together is now going on continuous for me. I’m happy for them! They are now stepping up on Hosie, not derogatory, I’m just seeing some parallels from hosie here. The disclose of Ethan broken arm, where Hosie has done, before that there’s Clarke’s traumatising Josie thing with Hosie. Next, the focus on the hand holding, I’m thinking of 207 and others. The “me being here with you”, with hosie 308 “then I’ll be here with you”. The whole thing is very comforting for Josie. The hug is good too. We can see that they finally have some nice scene and the bgm is good for them.
Tumblr media
23) I have no idea what is magical agronomy, so I look it up. Again, that shows how Josie love plants, like someone in Reddit said they observed that Josie’s side of room has several plants. And in 307, the herbs, that she remembers. I think it can help a lot if Hope is starting a magical technology company. Josie’s interest in that can come in handy. They’ll make a great team. About TRIMINI INDUSTRIES tap here.
24) we are still missing Jed here. Justice for Jed. We need Jed real first name. Did anyone notice when the super squad faces MaliLandon there’s no werewolf present? They’re really downplaying that huh? But maybe I can be satisfied that they are not making Finch being there but not Jed.
25) We need to address this thing about Handon. It’s like one and a half time that Hope couldn’t recognise that Landon is not Landon right? We still have to give credits to her memories shared with Cleo actually make Cleo kind of recognise the difference? So half a time. I agree with Josie’s words that Landon makes Hope happy. I mean, yes, most of the time they failed in working but there’s still sweet scenes between them. So that’s actually what makes Handon tolerable. They are what makes me only do facepalm rather than skipping them. So yes of course Hope has happy moments with Landon. Just that it doesn’t mean that they’re good together.
26) it’s always Landon’s bros that first find out Landon wasn’t Landon😂 this time is Clarke. It’s Clarke that tell Hope, “Landon will never leave you”. That’s the inconsistency of the writers, not counting MaliLandon’s time, it’s still two times. And there’s time that some will argue that Landon’s feet literally walk away from Hope. So...that’s not true, do not stuff that in our throat anymore. “I always thought you two are destined to be together” is this the writer way of saying they’re not doing Handon anymore or otherwise? Cuz “thought” is past tense and “are” is present tense. I’m tired. It’s normal that Hope still wants Landon to be happy and still love him. But after the breakup, when she still doesn’t know that it’s MaliLandon, the “still dying to get Landon again” is obsession. Girl, it’s derogatory to your self-esteem. “If a mud man like me can beat his fate, maybe you kids can too” yea that’s Handon going on.
27) we shouldn’t need to be told that Handon is epic love multiple times. We should be able to feel them, see them ourselves. Why did I start approving Finsie now, because instead of them being only all talking and no showing, now we see them working well (until now). I have been widely accepting to any other legacies ships and why I never ship Handon? So really these multiple telling us that how good is Landon to Hope, is not working. I’ve never been so frustrated.
Tumblr media
28) Let’s appreciate the Handon parallel with 101. It’s interesting that how Landon is inside the cage and Hope is outside the cage again. The meaning of the cage has deep meaning here. Handon first kiss is in the cage, that kind of mean that their love is trapped there. Like how their relationship being so troublesome and bound by these fateful encounters. The lights are quite similar, handon always has this blue lighting for them, which sometimes it’s kind of weird. The first time it is Hope decorating the ceiling with stars for Landon. It’s sweet, but also implying that what Handon has is the false beauty of them and not keeping the cage symbolism in mind. In other way of interpreting it, this is the writer foreshadowing their endgame. Cuz they’re trapped there, no way in no way out.
29) I think I’m not the only one bothered by the mostly lack of real Landon appearance in s3. As we can see how MaliLandon words sits so right about, Landon not belonging to SBS if it weren’t Hope. Then he leaves with Cleo, that’s a thing for Sowanby too, they still don’t have roots with the school, and it’s a great bonding between them, friendship or not. It’s the bond between them that matter. In 314 315, we always see that the students were totally fine without Landon. Like the three trios paralleling? It’s sad that Landon is like bouncing here and there in SBS but never really belong. And now the writers kind of ripped his personal development. So now he has neither his pheonix powers nor fighting skills, great? And even Hope’s growth too. We are seeing her moving to a good direction and the writers have to drag her back in the hell hole. Hope needs to not always looking at Landon for her happiness, it’s not good for the both of them. Like MG said, be your own person.
30) THEORIES regarding Landon: a) It’s MaliLandon all the way? I hope not, it’s reminding me of Lost Girl that one of the characters slept with the father personating the person she loves, and got pregnant. Tell you what was more alarming? When the episode ended, I was recommended to move on to Lost Girl on CW seed. It’s disgusting! Why do you want to help make me hate Handon? I don’t even hate them initially! I’m like struggling to be logical and lean on the positive side here. Why I can’t move on from this possibility: first, I’ve always headcannon that Malivore has partial control over Landon. Like how Landon actually wasn’t lying in 102 103? That’s Malivore. And Handon, as genius as always, doesn’t talk about it. Second, the way that Landon dissolved, he was human back then, but he turns into goo? how does it even work? If he is human, toxic to dna will make him die, not become goo, right? Even if that wasn’t a problem, it can also be MaliLandon trying his luck. Third, Malivore purpose is to make the perfect legacy, he will totally give it a try to make tribrid-Malivore babies. Fourth, during the inspiration from Cleo, MaliLandon has Landon’s memories, enhancing the theories that Malivore has partial control over Landon, so even if it wasn’t MaliLandon, it’s still partial-MaliLandon. Fifth, after the inspiration, MaliLandon said that he doesn’t need Hope to tackle his problem or for his purposes, which means he initially wanted Hope, thinking getting to Hope can help with his purposes. It’s really not a far-fetched.
31) THEORIES regarding Landon: b) it’s real Landon during sex, but Malivore got him in the prison world. While having Landon’s personal growth ripped and Handon still dragging out are not pleasant at all, this is still a more pleasant theory for me. At least Landon did start fighting for himself after sometime, and while the sex is still partial-MaliLandon, at least it’s not MaliLandon. (I’m always using at least for Handon 🙃) maybe we can still have Landon fighting skills? Cuz I was happy for him about this though. But I just don’t think so. The evidence for this theory is, my feeling about Landon in 306 is that it kind of fits Landon personality, but he did start his violence there. Another thing is the letter. There’s care in “to whom it may concern”. However, that can be just me being simp. And there’s also possibilities that the partial control from Malivore is cultivating Landon’s behaviour starting there and slowly taking control. Because making a deal with the devil always has its consequences. It’s either that or Landon was taken after the letter.
Tumblr media
32) regarding the picture above, i just want to point out about another interesting point about the structure of the scene, if you scroll back and see sowanby picture with the door and another bonding talk, you can se that there’s always pillar and frames that’s framing or trapping them together. Like Handon. I mean that’s totally MaliLandon, so this pointing out is not mean to be romantic. It’s just a thought about how devastating that Cleo is stuck in something her whole life, especially the picture structure that implies that she’s stuck with MaliLandon again.
33) overall I’m thinking this is a good and disgusting episode. With all the unexpected twist, it’s really good, there’s actually layers in showing us that Landon is not Landon every time. Then those bonding. The soundtrack, the scenes. Disgusting, is about the theory, and how we are all tangled back to Handon again after we finally have some fresh air. Not to mention the always surprisingly convenient that Landon always has an excuse when we see Landon did something bad to Hope. Like he can never be making big mistake while only having little questionable doings that can’t possible tarnish him being the perfect person in the show. The first time he lies, Malivore controlled him. During the pageant competition, he is justified to walk away when he totally chose the wrong timing to ask that question, leaving Hope alone breaking in front of such important event. 207, monsters are coming for him, he’s protecting people by leaving. Musical episode, he needs to cross boundaries because it’s bound to be, without further reasoning it with Hope, when Hope specifically was very respectful of him in 111 about his songs. And now, this. That’s not him, we can’t blame him. He will never be blame for something big because the writers is biased. Very biased in making that Landon is better than anyone else in the show, so he’s the perfect guy for Hope. Like no one can compare with him. He’s almost perfect. Perfect than Hope.
34) Reflect on what Hope did in 308, MG is kind of right, she shouldn’t have touched it without fully prepared. Because it totally let Malivore running out free instead of him being an originally contained problem. It’s for the good view in whole. Heroes make hard decisions. There’s still the hair thing cut from Hope and Golem!Landon.
These pictures is my work, while it’s easy to get it yourself, and not that I’m professional in doing this. But I still did screenshot them one by one and did some editing. So please like or label the sources when you save or use it. ♥️

Fish Upon The Sky Episode 8-11 Problems with being Romeo and Juliet (MorkPi)
Tumblr media
What an episode! After three weeks of hating this show and slowly removing myself from accepting this show as a favourite. FUTS hits me in the feels and gut in a way that I always knew it would. The realisation of my errors and judgement made me close to tears, dramatic, I know, but it's frustrating when your intuition tells you something, but for some reason, on the surface, it seems to be the opposite. It's a struggle. I wanted to defend this show, break it down and yet there were times I was ashamed I saw more from what it gave. And even so, we still have to mourn the fact that it could have been so much more had the director taken a different approach.
What I enjoy about this show is the meta and characterisation of its characters and their arcs and depth. You can tell that there's so much to understand before you judge them, they all are struggling, but the show fails to show why their struggles matter. Why what they're going through is important. Especially when it comes to its main protagonist and love interest, Mork. The show's comedy overshadows at times and makes us dislike what we see and throw it to the wolves as shallow and unimportant. It's hard to understand that something lurks in this narrative about themes like self-discovery and dealing with anxiety, self-deprecation etc., that could make this show so much more profound and needed than it seems to be. With so many frustrations and uncertainty about; where the story is going, what the message is if the romance is even romantic. FUTS can be a wild ride of struggle, frustration and yet happiness and comfort. It's a whiplash that causes annoyance and disappointment in its misunderstood moments. How does a show do that? The narrative is meant to be incredible, and yet somehow, its final product and performance are abysmal at times. Why? This isn't a hate post. This is an analysis on FUTS episode 11, and why after so much confusion, we finally get to the bottom of it, something that clicks and again brings back why this narrative is incredible and just not done in a way it deserved. But first, let's address the biggest fish, Mork.
Tumblr media
The Problem With Understanding A Character Like Mork
Finally? An understanding of Mork's desperation after what seemed impossible and painful. It's ironic; what FUTS does is it tells and shows you with clues that at some point, Mork and Pi both are similar in how they go about their romantic storylines; they mirror each other's desperation, stubbornness and pride. There has to be an idea of a difference and an idea of self-worth that makes them chase love like it's their all.
Both Pi and Mork start this story as admirers determined, serious, selfish yet doubtful and insecure. But it's hard to see how these two people who seem so different in terms of society's treatment and approval can both be having the same ideas of lack of self-worth and insecurity. When you look at Pi, you get it. He's been traumatised into hating himself into self-sabotaging because he believes he's not good enough. This leads to his standoffish characterisation, his selfish, close-minded, and victimisation mindset. Where nothing matters but his comfort and safety. Nothing he does is good enough to please society. He's been moulded with the perspective from the start that he's destined to be alone. He mocks it, but as the story continues, we see the mask fall. He's not okay with it at all.
Tumblr media
But Mork? Mork is the opposite; he's loved by society to the point of suffocation. He has a fan club of praises and supporters; he's seen as handsome, intelligent and cool without even having to try like Pi; he's effortlessly wanted and loved by all. So how can he be insecure? How can he even think for a second he should be suffering from having a fish upon the sky effect when he usually's everyone else's fish, ideal and dream? Why would he think he's not enough to keep what he wants? The answer is pretty obvious to our face, and even I missed it. It's the lack of understanding of his pain because of his pretty privilege.Pretty privilege sounds like an impressive feat; you get what you want cause you're hot, you're adored by everyone, and everyone perceives you as happy and living a happy life because you were blessed and lucky with what is envied and desperately sought; approval. But alas, no, because of this, you tend to be judged as too perfect, stale, no growth, no flaws, and no personality. People overlook your own struggles because you're seen as the lucky one. And the thing is because FUTS is in Pi's perspective when it comes to him and Mork, we also view him through that lens. I just forgot that we're looking at him through the lens of our very own main character, who's very naive and wrong about how he perceives everything around him.
Tumblr media
Mork's obsession with Pi doesn't make sense because Pi doesn't get it. How is he so confident and cool and yet always acting nervous like Pi is the one in control of him? Like he's scared to lose Pi, why should he feel like he will fail with Pi when all he has to do is let him go, and Pi will come running back because he's worth returning to. Everyone knows this; everyone praises him because they know this. Pi will later always realise just how cool and important he is. Why is he so frustrating and has no worries apart from Pi not wanting him?? Like why is he so one dimensional? But it's ironic; what we see of Mork is again how Pi sees him, and in this episode, Pi finally knew more about him and finally saw Mork's insecurities and reality. And the thing is, Mork lives a very ironic painful life, where it's actually important to notice that again his flaws come from his own ways he deals with his own fears and perception of himself.
Because instead of being pushed by the trauma of being rejected by society, it's the opposite. Instead, his flaws stem from the obsession that society has with him; it's actually his pretty privilege that's always been his burden and curse. The reason why he acts possessive, desperate, scared, and controlling is because of the fear that he will lose what he has just because of his pretty privilege. Stay with me, let me explain it more:
Tumblr media
The Kurosawa Effect
An example of a character like Mork is Kurosawa in another BL called Cherry Magic. Everyone loved him, praised him, admired him, but it suffocated him and made him be taken for granted; in fact, it is during his suffering and drowning, he finds love with someone who perceives him as the opposite. Yes, that person thinks he's fantastic and whatnot, but Adachi is brave and cares about who Kurosawa actually is on the inside; he saw through him. But you see as the show goes on that it's Adachi's insecurities about himself that makes Kurosawa, later on, suffer; he has it all; he can get anyone he wants. Yet, every time it comes to getting who he loves, they see themselves as lower than him and don't trust that they are suitable for him.
This is the irony of FUTS. Pi is someone who is being punished for the lack of being pretty to society, for not being wanted. He had to develop a hard wall to deal with this crippling fact that destroyed his sense of self. The irony is as he developed a way to deal with this, as he chose to shun and hide from society; that's what Mork fell in love with when looking at him. And now you already see something Mork envies from Pi even though he watched him struggle;
Pi is not wanted by society, but Pi is allowed to be himself, free and uncaring, and this lack of being bothered (a mask Pi used) made Mork want to know him. Because he couldn't do the same. Pi offered a world where he could join and be just as close to and away from society's cage, where they both could hide in.
But even with all the pain and anguish Pi went through, Mork saw his strength, watching him stay kind, helpful and caring to society despite his closed of energy. Something he didn't understand how he could do that, but because it's Pi, Mork fell hard for that part that Pi didn't even notice.
Lastly, it's watching Pi slowly grow his own confidence, his own fight and his own determination of self-preservation, shunning society as they shunned him. Mork found Pi's tenacity in not letting people affect him actually attractive, and he liked that and wanted that. Pi didn't suffocate.
Mork liked that despite what the world did to him, he refused to let himself drown and break, he overlooked Mork for what people saw in him, and he spoke to him anonymously as a natural person, not an object.
But alas, Pi was the only one in the world who didn't want him. The very person he wanted by his side, and yet the very person he was scared to lose because of the exact reasons he fell for him. Pi shunned society, but wherever Mork went, society followed him. This is why he didn't go give him the umbrella. He was insecure and worried and scared of losing him immediately to the claws of his cagers.
Tumblr media
The Suffocation of Popularity
Because although he would have gotten Pis love and adoration, Pi wouldn't fall for him authentically (what he felt for Nan, as we find out slowly, it was fake/a lie he used to cope). Pi would chase after Mork, but it'd be shallow, unreal and fake because Pi would see him as impossible to love. And we see this, no matter how much he spends his energy (reason for why he's so determined, serious, possessive and obsessive) to convince Pi why they should be together; Pi refuses to see Mork as nothing more than society's most beloved and wanted. It should be why he gets to be with who he loves, but it's a punishment. Ironic right? It's so much of a sentence that his birthday can't be celebrated privately because fans are always on the lookout for his life; he has had to deal with this constant invasion. This is why he keeps on trying so hard to make Pi accept that it's his life; something he can't escape.
Tumblr media
His popularity is almost like a curse, not a blessing to him, in a show where popularity is coveted by the main. Ironic right? And it's incredible because, again, people are the source of his issues: society and the public domain. Pis pain is his insecurity, hurt, trauma, and need to be accepted by people to honestly think he deserves happiness. Whilst Mork is the opposite, his insecurities stem from being a burden to the one he loves for just… loving them. For just wanting to be happy with them. And the thing is just like Pi becomes selfish and becomes flawed because of his resolution to deal with the hurt and pain and anguish of his feat, Mork is the same; he also becomes, you guessed it, selfish too, almost to the point at times of toxicity. But it's toxic positivity, the reason he's flawed is his clinginess, possessiveness, stubbornness, but he became this way because he's determined to keep what he loves to be happy; he became strong to deal with his pain. Still, his strength and determination become his flaw. And Pi is the same; Pi became strong selfishly only focused on himself and his happiness to curb his anxiety and futility of thinking he could ever be loved by others.
Tumblr media
Even when he now has friends, a lover and acceptance of family, Pi still thinks he's the worst, and the way he runs away from this is intentional self-sabotage. He becomes the monster he believes he is; hence his selfish character, lack of empathy, insecurity, and stubbornness to stay unloving is provoked when he feels vulnerable and attacked. Mork suffers for Pis strength and mask, and Pi also suffers for Mork's obsession and determination. They both ironically hurt each other when they both strive to protect each other.
Tumblr media
Pi believes Mork can be protected by not being with him, and Mork believes Pi can be covered by him taking his burdens and constantly being by his side, but it's both ironic; they both hurt each other because of society. It's society; Pi is protecting Mork from; he wants him to be loved and accepted and stay his cool, pretty way. And Mork is also protecting Pi from society by telling him:
"F society let's be by ourselves in our own world protected, and safe. If society doesn't want you, I want you, let's leave society and not care about it let's be ourselves".
And yet, it triggers trauma for Pi because each time the more Mork strives to show him he's protected, he's hurt even worse for being with him. He's triggered even more with his trauma for any step they take to be free. See why it's ironic? And yet ironically so perfect and great as a narrative??
Tumblr media
A Fish Drowning In The Sky.
These two find themselves the victim of society and its norms, and they find themselves unable to know what to do to survive and be happy because of what society does to them. Mork's actions are romantic, but it's negative. It's toxic at times, but that's his flaw, that's his desperation not to lose Pi, not to let him run away from him, not to leave him alone once more alone to deal with this cage he always thought he'd be trapped in. Being an object, not being seen or being happy. He's a fish drowning in his bowl, an ironic metaphor, and Pi is his fish in the sky—the place where freedom actually is. But Pi is drowning in the sky because it feels hostile and inhospitable; he can't stay in the sky. There's no water to survive. He doesn't want Mork to join him there. It's ironic because when it came for Nan, he saw Nan as his fish in the sky, but it shows you how that was just a way to distract himself and have the incentive to hope he didn't actually want to join the sky with him. Because the sky was always scary and hostile to him, Nan was never in the sky; he was always in the bowl, and Pi knew this but let himself lie that Nan was what he wanted. It's again ironic.

There's so much to say about this episode, and I don't know if I will continue breaking it down, but this narrative has always been incredible. It was the way it was edited and shown to us that failed. The director made so many moments that could have been done differently done the way that makes us disregard this show. Mork is a character with dimensionality; he has depth, pain, 'insecurities and flaws; he just was being viewed in a lens that made us all misunderstand and disregard it. It's surprising that rewatching this show after knowing all this, the whole show changes for me. It becomes a tale about two people who are ironically made for each other but are so destructed and affected by the world around them. Society is their obstacle: Romeo and Juliet (hence the balcony scenes mirroring that) torn apart by society but meant to be. But the show won't give us enough time to see their growth into escaping this toxicity they have grown with. Pi still has so much to grow and learn before he lets Mork in. He needs to know he's worth it, and he's on that journey; he finally has people around him to show him he's okay. Mork just wants someone in the world that makes him feel safe, and that's Pi, and he also is slowly close to getting him to stop hiding and trusting him. They both are slowly closer to their mental freedom and happiness. That's how good this show could have been—man, what a fantastic episode.

21 Supernatural Questions
I was tagged by @deletingpoint - thanks for the kind words, girl!! Made my day! You rock the block! And yes don’t mind if I do join in, this looks fun. :P
1. When did you start watching Supernatural?
I’d seen stray episodes before - I’ve absolutely no clue which ones - but then I binged S1-6 in 2013 while being ill with the flu and I was hooked before it came up, because I loved S1-3 and the brother dynamic and thought it was a really awesomely well-written piece of television, but when they introduced the will-they-won’t-they-make-this-uber-masculine-guy-be-into-guys-and-specifically-the-guy-with-wings I was pretty much gone for. So I caught up on the show and watched it until a few episodes into S9 (don’t judge me, I was surface watching and couldn’t get with the program at the time because why wasn’t Dean gay already??) and then I quit watching for a few years because I couldn’t stand the grey area and the uncertainty. I also wasn’t invested enough to stand it, tbh, and felt, naw, I’ll get back to this if it ever seems like they’re actually gonna do anything with this thing they’re hinting so strongly at. Picked it back up while S12 was airing and here we now are.
2. Who is your favorite in TFW?
But the other two might get jealous!
(okay, it’s Cas)
3. Who is your least favorite in TFW?
They’re the holy trinity and none of their character progression works without all of them taking up their allotted space in the narrative and how can you not love them all what is wrong with this question why am I hyperventilating why aren’t they beloved equally gaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
(but Cas is my favourite)
4. Tag your top 5 Supernatural blogs!
I sincerely can’t, but I can tag a few people whom I very much appreciate and whose answers to this questionnaire I would be intrigued to see: @godshipsit @charlie-minion @mad-as-a-box-of-frogs @waywardliliana @natmoose @purgatory-jar @myed89 @inacatastrophicmind @rustling-pages @angelneedshunter @nerdylittleshit @obsessionisaperfume @assbuttboyfriends @misskittyspuffy @starsinursa @postmodernmulticoloredcloak @casismybestfriend @mittensmorgul @elizabethrobertajones  - you’re all like bursts of colour and glitter glue and I’m happy you’re around! :) (btw I always find it awkward to tag specific peeps because there are so many of you lovelies that I would honestly tag so just know that this most likely includes you) (yeah that’s right) (YOU) <3
5. Who is your favorite character (not including TFW)?
Jack
6. Who is your favorite woman in Supernatural?
Rowena
7. John or Mary?
Mary
8. What were your first opinions of Sam, Dean, Cas, and Jack?
Sam: my first impression of him was very coloured by my impression of Jared as Dean on Gilmore Girls, so to hear someone call Jared Sam and then this Sam call someone else Dean was a bit jarring while watching the pilot. My earliest opinion of Sam was that he was kind, good with people, skilled, independent and, yes, haunted by past choices.
Dean: Immediate impression was oh, he’s one of those guys, and then almost straight away that first impression was blown to bits and everyone knows that he’s very, very easy to fall in love with quickly, so my love for him grew strong within a few episodes, for sure. First opinion formed holds until this day: someone who’s lost and who’s searching for a way home. In every sense of that sentence.
Cas: Holy shitballs, who’s this now?? was pretty much my first reaction to Cas’ entrance. It blew me away. It was an absolute game changer. It made me sit up. It made my brain go... are they... are they going to make Dean Winchester... is Dean Winchester into men?? And because on my first watch I’d not seen the little hints of this that now are so damn glaringly obvious, the chemistry between Dean and Cas literally made a lot of shit click into place for me regarding what I was potentially actually watching, and raised my emotional investment sky high considering the possible social commentary baked into the overall message of family and identity, and yeah, that still holds true to this day.
Jack: I was ready to fight tooth and nail for him after 12x19. That episode is still one of the best 42 or so minutes of television I’ve ever seen. The plant of Jack as a needed push for Cas’ progression hit me in the heart, and once it clicked that Jack represented the holy trinity of Heaven, Hell, Humanity, and how he might narratively prove a knitting point for TFW, something for them all to rally around, well, I was pretty much done for.
9. What’s your favorite season?
This is a really hard question because watching a season from start to finish means taking all of it in, and all of them - when start-to-finished - I feel are rather outstanding, but twist my arm and I’ll say: S1 or S4 or S5 or S8 or S9 or S11 or S13 (I can’t narrow it down to just one season alright?) and S14 and looking at what we have so far with this unfinished season I’d name S15, definitively.
10. What’s your least favorite season?
Oh, man. Make a girl sweat. So, here’s the thing, I genuinely see each season as adding something valuable to the whole, you know? I suppose S6 drags a bit, but I really like the tone and the noir sensibility of it, so I wouldn’t really call it my least favourite, but if I were to choose one season to binge over a weekend, S6 wouldn’t necessarily be first pick.
11. Opinions on Destiel?
Ah, yes, the obligatory essay question. Please see attachment. *points to blog*
12. Do you believe Supernatural queerbaits?
Look, to my mind, the reason Dean and Cas aren’t together yet is character related. They need to get their fucking ducks in a row. (and then those ducks will hopefully be fucking all over the place) (okay that’s graphic bird sex but you know what I mean) (not literally Dean and Cas dressed up as ducks and fucking) (but like... good stuff for the eyes will be happening that isn’t necessarily fucking feather related) (wait) (oh ffs brain!!) (you HAD to go there didn’t you??) (moving on) (or rather answering the question) --> I don’t believe they queerbait, no.
13. Seasons 1-7 or 8-14?
8-15x03
14. Favorite villain (plot wise)?
Tumblr media
*chills are multiplying*
I love Chuck as the Big Bad, sincerely, but oh mannnn Michael.
15. Do you think they should end the Lucifer plot line?
Yeah, this questionnaire has been in drafts for a while now so um... I mean, the Lucifer plot line as it pertains to SAM should reach a satisfactory conclusion, but as it pertains to Lucifer’s play for Jack and breaking God’s toys etc. yeah, no, done.
16. Who do you think has gone through more trauma (Sam, Dean, or Cas)?
That’s too relative to their highly linked, and yet wholly individual relationship with their past and lingering sense of trauma. I think @deletingpoints reply was something along the lines of: Can you measure trauma? And I agree. They’ve all been deeply traumatised at different stages of their life and they’ve all dealt with their individual trauma in different ways.
17. What’s your favorite Supernatural episode?
I’m sorry, what? I thought you just asked me to pick one favourite episode out of 3678916236363487236783 times infinity. This is mathematically impossible and since I’m sadly not fluent in math and have absolutely no access to any type of calculator or abacus or, I don’t know, a neighbour who happens to make amazing fucking latte and dresses in knits and is attractive in a non-conventional way and also happens to be a math genius, I must reject the question outright and plead the 105th. (i.e. I cannot possibly)
18. Do you like case episodes?
Where’s that gif of Dean going Dude Yes?
Tumblr media
^^^
19. Who do you relate most to in TFW?
Darling Cas. Socially awkward and lost but growing into his own skin Castiel. My God, I love him so dearly. There are not words for how much I relate to him, or for what he’s done for my personal self-reflection, or how much I’m now re-relating to his need to push himself out of his comfort zone and dare. I owe him. *hugs into oblivion*
20. Why do you like Supernatural?
Ohhhhh, goody, one of those multi-choice questions. Is it:
a) because of the absolutely stunning character journeys
b) because of the absolutely smashing world and all its mythology
c) because of the underlying social commentary and the intricate use of subtext to effectively, though subtly, bring ideas linked to the conscious/unconscious sides to us into not only the use of already mentioned mythology, influencing the world building, but also wholly guiding, impacting and giving momentum to the already mentioned stunning character journeys
d) all of the above
e) all of the above, and a little bit more that would take an actual book to relay
E. It’s E. All the way the answer is E.
21. If you could bring back one character and kill off another who would they be?
I’d bring back Eileen and holy moly Shoshanna is coming our way. And I don’t have a character to kill off tbh. Let them live, I say. :)
I genuinely tag EVERYONE. Go on, everyone, you know you wanna!  :) xx
