i think with the first ep of stampede, i could withhold my judgement, then the first 3 felt all crammed in jenora rock for some reason, but i feel at this point theyre taking bits and pieces from the manga, but without it actually fitting by itself? ive said over and over i dont find stampede to be convincing (lack of world building or character development), but i swear its almost like it expects you to base your feelings off of the original works.

just thinking about wolfwood, i dont think i'd like him here. anything interesting abt him was taken away immediately. now he's some stranger we know is lying to vash w suspicious motives and is hiding them for some reason, and harshly criticizing him. he's my fave and i love him, but then seeing the end in ep 4 i was like oh... they... made him a liar......... and not even in a fun way

#personal #like i thought abt how how im biased by the 90s anime and stampede i perceive things differently #and i thought abt the point of monev (i think lmao) originally training for 20 years then the town in stampede was abandoned for 20 years #and ig u could connect that (monev was made to kill vash) but u cant get that just by watchin stampede #also the mention of a gate in ep 4. i can remember in the manga the guns were sent to basically torture vash #but here theres no established order for them. theyre here but idk why #it feels more like vash is occasionally running into random ppl who want him dead for god knows why #and the audience doesnt even know either
