me, talking about The Circle by Dave Eggers which I read for school: and the creepy thing is, it may be unlikely, but it is very much possible that we end up in this exact world- my teachers: incredibly unlikely my parents: are you kidding this is exactly where we're headed right now

#it was very interesting to see the different reactions #and it was very interesting to read the book #even though i procrastinated on it so long that i had to speed read it within three days. yeah its five hundred pages long #i managed tho! i even managed to hand in my presentation almost on time #and i got everything like i was speedreading not skipping anything like i can and will talk about it in detail #and point out the parallels with 1984 which is started reading (tho so far havent finished. yet) #i still gotta read brave new world on that note like thats the other great dystopian novel the circle is always compared with #and also dystopias are actually interesting as fuck. terrifying to read the further we get in this world but interesting nonetheless #one can learn from the 70 yo dystopian novel that predicted so many actual things #a biscuit's rambles

all in all, i recommend consuming the parts (however you choose to do so, anime or manga) in order, 1-however many until u wanna stop.

but aside from that, i have preferences based almost entirely on art style and speed of consumption and here they are

watch Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, because I like the new anime (the DavidPro one) and the soundtrack is poppin

listen to the music from the davidpro Stardust Crusaders because the ops are BANGIN but the anime is a million year long slog, so i personally recommend reading it bc when i read i can scroll fast and speedread thru all the arcs i get tired of or dont care about (alessi?alessi.). im gonna watch the 2000s OVA and ill have a verdict on that soon but for now, reading SDC is my personal fav option. dont miss out on that ballin final op from the anime tho hoo boy thats good content

 watch diamond is unbreakable. there is a massive gap of filler between “the problem is introduced” and “we actually do anything about the problem” but its all really good filler and i love the art direction. i honestly watched DIu over my bros shoulder and didnt pay whole much attention to anything but the core serial killer plot so uh, whoops. the charas are good tho

everything else is manga only for now! vento aureo, which i LOVE AND ADORE is hopefully gonna be animated soon.

if you read vento aureo you should also read the LN purple haze feedback bc its a personal assault

stone ocean is weird as hell, which i enjoy deeply, but not like, emotionally impactful and the ending is regarded as bullshit so if ur not interested in “what if this bizarre adventure turned the bizarre knob so far to maximum it broke the knob off” you can probo skip it and not miss out on anything aside from gay feelings toward jolyne.
