I am unwell about these people thank you so much for asking /gen (long post incoming)

I'm a little more familiar with Cellbit's character than Bagi's, so probably have more headcanons about him. I am actively trying to get more unhinged about Bagi because she is so cool and everyone should tell me their Bagi headcanons

Bagi headcanons/opinions:

She should be transfem. as a treat. her being transfem lets me make the twins identical, and anything that makes it more obvious how related they are makes them funnier

Her being transfem also adds fun layers to her relationship with Tina, as Tina is a demon pretending to be human. All I'm saying is you could do some fun parallels and contrasts about presentation and the self

Also if you make her and Jaiden and Baghera all transfem, you get the fun fed-sisters-plus transfem solidarity that exists only in my head

She can only barely cook. She never learned as a kid and then got fucking frozen, and she's tried to learn as an adult but it's not going well

When she thinks about raising Empanada, she gets kinda caught between wanting to pass on the pacifist, live-and-let-live mentality that she pretends to have and the more defensive/aggressive ideas she actually has. She does like the idea of pacifism and doesn't want Empanada to grow up bitter, but... peace isn't what's kept her safe and alive

Empanada's first death resolved a lot of those conflicts. A kinder world isn't coming, so she has to raise a fighter

Her "pretending to be an ethical vegetarian" thing is hilarious to me. girl you aren't pretending to be a vegetarian you just are one. you can lie about your reasons but girl. you don't eat meat

Cellbit headcanons/opinions:

He can't cook even a little bit. Federation pet -> child soldier -> jail-> struggling adult? yeah he never fucking learned to cook

Relatedly I think he's a picky eater but has weird tastes. Like i think he eats instant microwave/just add water foods raw and likes it because he learned to eat it like that at some point, but can't stand a lot of "real food" because he just never got used to it (this is partly based on me lsjkhd)

He owns a butterfly knife and he's good with it. He picked it up as a hobby after Fuga when he was in therapy because he needed something to fill his time and it was a socially acceptable way to carry a knife. He can do all kinds of tricks now

Just pre-purgatory (and probably still now tbh) sometimes the butterfly knife suddenly reminds him too much of a real knife or triggers some kind of intrusive thought that scares him. His reaction to this is to just let go of the knife midair. He's very lucky no one's gotten hurt yet

He 100% remembers more of his childhood with Bagi than he admits. He pretends he doesn't because even acknowledging that he was a child once undermines his image of himself as a monster (upsetting, unhealthy self-image, sure, but one that's kept him safe. monsters aren't afraid of anything. monsters can't be hurt. children, though?)

As much as I understand and will read about autistic!Cellbit headcanons, I don't agree (i am autistic, for the record). He's actually really good with social cues, like scary good, and obviously has really strong theory of mind. Like I get where people are coming from but we need to defend an allistic guy's right to just be a fucking freak (/lh /nm)

I want to call Cellbit and Baghera "hunters" instead of "chainsaw killers." again I get where people are coming from. it's funny and I'll use it. however hunters would go so hard. same genre as codebreakers and bloodhounds. do you see my vision

Big ramble about baghera and christians performance and also dance technicalities because i need you to appreciate them RIGHT NOW

Bagheras expressions her expressions oh my god shes so good do you know how HARD it is to be expressive like that??? its like dancing twice!! Every instructor ever will tell you expressions are 50% of the performance shes nailing it!!!!! Christians face is unchanged and hes a professional dancer which is valid but also i find it a little funny. Focus 100

The way baghera and christian trust each other! Pair dancing is a two way street always and constantly - even if the "picked up" party seems to be putting in less effort than the "one who picks up" party, that is FAR from the truth. You have to essentially make both your body masses one, knowing where to put your limbs and how far to push your weight to find both your balance. Another detail, from experience - it can be really scary to have your partner touch parts of you that are necessary to be touched for the technicalities. It took me 30 long and painful minutes doing one move over and over to let my partner hold my waist in the proper spot to pick me up. + The spacial and body awareness (of your own and also your parthers body) you need to have to not accidentally hurt your partner is. Insane. They are doing so well, they mustve trained insanely hard!!

Bagheras balance is way better this performance because of the flat shoes and im so glad about it!! the first outfit was stunning, but the heels made her steps seem unsure. Again gotta say expressions are 50% of the performance - if youre not a nerd like me you wouldnt even notice because the rest of her face and body acting are IMMACULATE

Baghera has solid body acting as well. Her forms arent as well defined and movements a little slouchy at times but, again, you wouldnt fucking know because shes so smooth with it. (also if anyone knows, please let me know if baghera has done dancing in the past! even like a school club or something, i am insane about dancers ok <3)

Christian! His forms! Immaculate! I want to use him to point out key points that make an excellent dancer: a) he is light on his feet, almost looks like hes floating. b) pointing his toes for grace points. c) Active heels (lifted off the ground) for better body control and also grace points. d) Swan arms. Ballet arms. Rounded elbows. Whatever you wanna call em. e) Body control. Every muscle is active every move calculated and backed up by experience. Hot Hot Hot

Using your eyes is important (looking in directions lol), it helps railroad the audiences attention to key elements, set the mood and tell a story. Very needed tool in pair dancing to convince the audience of the dancers relationship (in the story of the performance) (also requires a lot of trust and comfort with your partner because you need to hold prolonged eye contact with them). Also diverts audiences attention from you potentially making mistakes with other parts of your body lol. They do it well <3

MASSIVE kudos to the choreography!!! It was very fun, and you could read a story from it!! Loved the bits of visualising the lyrics!!

Okay, Burning Gold. First of all, I love the setting. Everything, from the trees to the camp buildings to the infections is described so well. It makes it easy to picture a world in my head.

Then there’s what I shall refer to as Tallulah-shadowing. And on a second read, it starts a lot sooner than I noticed it the first time. Because it’s starts here: [“Don’t look up, sweetheart,” he whispered in her ear. “I’ll talk to them.”] On the first read, this just looks like Wilbur not wanting Tallulah to see the weapon, which is definitely still part of the reason, but with such hostile energy he definitely doesn’t want anyone seeing her eyes and figuring out she’s infected.

This open hostility from Etoiles can be mistaken for that of any regular survival group. In reality it’s because they have their own children to protect and a good bout of paranoia from a past encounter gone wrong. [Quackity’s eyes fell back down to Tallulah, his left hand idly twisting a ribbon wrapped around his right wrist.] Rip Tilin. Was it Charlie in this universe? Was that the wrong people they trusted? Or was it just random people?

Also, I gotta love their priorities: neutralise the threat (Etoiles), figure out how their camp was found and if they are in further danger (Baghera) (Though at this point they could assume Tallulah is infected and Wilbur somehow heard about their camp and came looking for safety), check if anyone’s hurt (Forever) and keeping their camp safe (Bad) (via checking whether it’s a Reaper Claw wound, which either reflects or kills you, and then asking if they should let him into the camp).

[“Is it a good idea to let him into the camp though?” Bad asked, furrowing his brows. “We don’t know him. For all we know, he could-”] be dangerous. Is probably what Bad was going to say, but there are a lot of options. All of them are probably related to Wilbur finding out about the kids and trying to hurt them.

Enter Quackity. Going from shock to instant anger is probably the right reaction to have when seeing someone who abandoned you years ago. It does send very mixed messages to all of his friends. Their entire relationship and the way they interact does. All of this to say, everyone in that camp thinks they used to be a Thing(Tm). The one-night-stand comment and the flirty remarks are not helping.

Also, I’m pretty bad at keeping up with the qsmp so most of what I know comes from dash osmosis, but I gotta love Etoiles being totally down for murder the entirety of the chapter. He let's up a bit when they learn Quackity and Wilbur know each other, and then instantly goes back to being down for murder. A fair reaction when you learn you are looking at someone who left your friend behind. Abandoning people in general is not a food quality to have in one of your group members.

And cutting this of here because I have a feeling this is going to be looooooooooonnnnnnggggg. Sorry not sorry. I’m having a blast.

I had such a specific color palette in my head for this fic. bright orange tree canopy, white tree trunks, shimmering liquid gold falling from branches and seeping into the earth and dripping from the reaper's jaws—idk why those colors are what popped into my head with this but I'm so glad you enjoyed the setting

oh yeah the tallulah-shadowing started super early on. I had a lot of fun sprinkling hints here and there but in a way that could easily be explained as wilbur just trying to keep her safe, but was actually tied to him not wanting the others to figure out what she is. and ofc this goes the other way too, with the others hostility being misconstrued as normal survivor paranoia as opposed to them actually trying to protect the same things wilbur is trying to protect

rip tilin... charlie didn't kill tilin directly in this, but I like to think he fucked up which led to them getting killed by accident. maybe he ran into a different survivor group and brought them to the camp thinking they could be trusted? something like that, haven't exactly decided yet

yup they all have different focuses but all work together very well to try and keep the situation under control. it was definitely interesting balancing so many characters with different motivations at one time, but they all ultimately have the same goal—keep the kids safe

no literally wilbur and quackity sent such mixed messages with that convo. everyone in the camp is 100% convinced they're exes.

etoiles is a character very focused on fighting and protecting the people he cares about. 'lonely warrior' or whatever he titles his streams lmao. I haven't watched a ton of him except for the few times i've seen him on other peoples streams, but through dash osmosis I knew he would definitely be the kind of guy in the apocalypse always ready to kill to keep the group safe lol
