i'm not gonna make some big holier than thou post about this bc it's not my place and obviously i'm not morally superior but like. it's fucking absurd to have a team presence here. in the least ironic and joking way possible, the actual social media team for the colorado avalanche... shouldn't be on tumblr. this is the most unhinged website and every fucking person in the world knows it. the avs social team knows it. and yet in their quest to appear hip and relatable or whatever they have once again sacrificed professionalism and the privacy of both fans and players. obviously i'm just gonna block them but like. leave. thanks. the players/orgs don't need a direct line to The RPF Site and as an active member of the rpf site i don't want player/org presence on here either!

#it's all fun and good to reminisce on karlsson's tumblr and when the avs here were first i GUESS but like. #i was surprised to even find the avs here the first time. and the culture of hockeyblr has shifted since then #w all the new arrivals since the pandemic #and like. i'm not saying it's a bad thing. that would be incredibly hypocritical of me #but it's worth noting that hockey fandom on this site has developed just like every other fandom here: #relying on the void left by creators/official presences #you can come here and be insane and weird and say whatever BECAUSE there are no official presences #except like. neil gaiman. but that doesn't count #anyway so hockeyblr is obviously unhinged in different and more private ways than say hockey twitter #and having an official presence here both disturbs the Delicate Tumblr Ecosystem (unless ur neil) #and creates this weird space where people have said and made a bunch of things in confidence which are #then exposed to the entities they were created about #i don't post shit i say here to twitter (in fact i'm not on twitter!) because i specifically Don't Want these people to see it #so the fact that they're coming here Anyway is like. fuck off lol #bees speaks #rpf talk #okay maybe that was big and holier than thou i'm just rly annoyed with avs socials recently lol #like far be it from me to equate actual teams to their social media managers but like. #this is just embarrassing #and my enjoyment of the avs is def being colored by the invasiveness and irresponsibility of the social teams :/
