due to some unexplainable reasons (jace dropping out of it) alec now has to replace jace’s place in a fun little auction, the one with the highest bid get to have a full date with alec, and all money goes to charity. worry not, jace promise he not gonna let alec goes with random sleezy douchebag, it can’t be more than 500 dollar right

The whole hall fell silent, everyone looking towards the man standing silently in the centre, his raised hand glinting with a multitude of rings. From the stage, Alec couldn’t quite make out his face in the dimly lit audience.

The auctioneer sealed the deal, and Alec looked to Jace who was standing in the wing of the stage, his mouth gaping open.

"You said it wouldn't be more than 500 dollars," Alec whispered, just loud enough that it would carry across the stage.

Jace lifted one shoulder and shrugged. "Well, clearly, you're in much higher demand than I thought."
