How often do you typically need to wash your hair? I wash my hair everyday as it’s super fine and gets really limp and greasy if I don’t. I’ve tried leaving it to see if it makes any difference but honestly, it just looks like I’ve dipped my head in a vat of oil, lol.

Who is your favourite Disney villain? Maleficent, especially after watching the rebooted films. Otherwise I liked Frollo and Scar from the original cartoon versions.

Let's talk betta fish. Because honestly I hate how they are mass produced and sold as an "easy beginner fish, low cost, low matinance" which its not. Minimum tank size for bettas are 2.5 gallons, heated and filtered with silk plants (NOT PLASTIC, THEY WILL DAMAGE FINS).

And you're gonna say "but the pet store worker told me Yada yada Yada " you completely believed them? Pet stores are known to lie about many many things, and have a return policy for dead fish for a reason, so many of the chain pet stores sell sick or dying fish in hopes that you will come back and buy either medication, or a new fish.

In all, over $300 has been spent in just the maintenance of my tank. Aside from matinance, the tank, filter and heater were $40 for my 5 gallon. Another $30 for a cylinder 3 gallon tank. This hobby isn't easy, and never will be.

Most people do weekly water changes, maitnance and stuff, and I personally don't. I replenish evaporated water, and test my water with a master api test kit, but other then that I do nothing but plant.

I only ever use seachem prime, because out of all the water conditioners, seachem has been the only one that no fish store seems to have problems with, everyone recommends it, almost every hobbyist or professional uses it, it detoxifies ammonia , nitrites and nitrates.

Generally speaking, ammonia and nititrites are dangerous to fish and snails , so adding seachem is a great way to ensure safety if your tank isn't cycled. Plants will love the nitrates. If you don't know the difference, look up the nitrogen cycle for fish tanks on YouTube and its all very informative.

There really is no reason to still have such limited knowledge on BASIC betta care, as we literally have tiny computers in out hands which we can use at any time to look up anything.

One thing to think about if you're getting a fish as a present for someone else is if you DO NOT plan on;

1. Buying a tank, and anything needed to start up the tank ( abt 2 months worth of supplies)

2. Buying live/silk plants

3. Buying or building hides

4. Educating the person getting it

5. Getting appropriate sized tanks

And finally, 6. Continuing to pay for/matinance tank/ take betta and tank into your care/ home at any time

DO NOT BUY A BETTA. Buy a stuffed animal. Because all you're doing is basically killing that fish.

As I said before, I'm buying my friend a betta. Shes kept 2 before, and after I educated her she got hers 3 gallon tanks instead of 0.5 gallon bowls.

Now, how have I prepared to buy her this betta?

1. 3 gallon cylinder tank, $30

2. Sponger filter, air tubing, air pump, all bought separately, $10

3. Aquaterra Sand, $5

4. A squidward house that was coated in plastic seal so it doesn't leak paint, and a rock hide, $10 for 2 ceramic rocks, $10 for house

5. 4 different types of live plants,

Java fern($10)

Frogbit($14)

Rosette sword($12)

Some species of cryptocorn($5)

6. Heater, $10

7. An ethically sourced betta, from breeder is generally $30-$70

All items were bought online at different times, so some had shipping costs some didn't, and I can't remember. The tank came with a lid and light.

And I messaged my friends mom, to see if she even wanted another betta in the house, in the message I offered to supply a stand and take back the betta and tank at any time, and my friend can have it back at any time, even if it is st my house, its ultimitly her tank. Until I move the tank to her house, I've been teaching her how to matinance my 10 gallon, like testing water, removing plants and fish, light levels and plant care.
