ok bc, if u ask them to stay, ask if you’ll see them again they offer reassurance, they tell you they will respond to the letter. Always.

If you LET THEM GO though and ask them the same question they give you: "I couldnt deny the crown, could I?"

And, I’m not saying anything but I am saying is it makes it half a joke/lightens the tension but also makes it slightly removed from their own will thats all I'm saying ok, v in line w their inching around vulnerability (w the crown specifically) is all im saying and the kicker is this response is one they appreciate more bc it shows an understanding of them even despite what the crown may feel
