Analog to digital: Look closely at the rain running down the window screen in the very center. Instead of drops running continuously down the glass, the static attraction of the screen wire digitizes the rain into discrete packets, each cell of the wire mesh. The trail of water now looks like a video game snake, like a level meter on old audio equipment, as lower cells of the screen fill up with water, relatively instantaneously, and cells higher up in the "tail" of the drop are instantly emptied

controversial take:

mascot horror is good because it allows young internet users to engage with the spooky side of fandoms without the content being outright traumatizing.

engaging in horror shouldn't default to kids having to watch things they aren't ready for. they can get spooked without needing to be desensitized to R-rated media.

mascot horror is a safer buffer into becoming a long-time horror fan. it's good for everyone, really.
