If you go back to my post for chapter 17, after the "keep reading" section, there's a "please click HERE" sentence. Please click that hyperlink (it's underlined) and it will redirect you to the takeaways for chapter 17! Hope that helps, and hope you enjoy! 😃

@karinzany commented: Hi! So, I've read Therapy Game Restart on mangago, but there are still some chapters missing. Do you know where to read them?
Hi there~! I hope you don’t me answering this as it’s own little post--
But, I’m sad to say that presently there isn’t really any place to read past chapter 7... As the scanlation group who had been translating the series recently dropped it, because the series is getting localized in December (well, volume one, which has up to chapter 5 will be out then-- no news yet on the newly released second volume)
I don’t know if perhaps some other group may pick up the series before news of further localization is given, and thus give us further chapters sooner-- Since so far, no one else seems to have picked up working on it-- But, in the meantime-- if you’d like to at least have summaries of what’s been happening in later chapters, and haven’t given her blog a look already, i’d like to point you toward the lovely @amaya-chwan who’s been putting out fantastic takeaways for the series~. Along with general updates related to it as well--

Where do you read the english translation of Therapy game restart chapter 12?
Hi there, cococutie! 👋
I'm not too sure where you'd be able to read the English translation of chapter 12. I don't think SuBLime has released volume 2 just yet, so you might have to wait a little while longer! 😭
Sorry that wasn't very helpful! But fingers crossed the official English translation will be released soon! 🤞💜

Thank you very much, I was able to find it and I was able to read it, where do you see the raw? I follow pages in Japanese and they are also on until 11 and apparently they are on 19 and could you give me the page where you see it I would really appreciate it 💜💜💜, and I had my suspicions about onodera (many the truth) now I'm more afraid and it anguishes me, Minato fights with his mind every time ☹️☹️☹️, thanks for your summaries, I love them 😍😍😍
Yay, I'm glad you found it! 💜
I purchase Dear+ every time there's a new Therapy Game Restart chapter, so I only have physical copies to read. BUT! You can buy chapters online on eBook Renta or the Animate Japan Online bookstore!
Here's hoping we get a backstory for Onodera! I'm not too worried about them anymore since they don't seem to be interested in Shizuma. But I totally get what you mean! Be strong, Minato!
And you're most welcome! Thank you for reading them and leaving such a kind comment! 😘💜

Hi there dear~, I know this is kind of an out the blue question, but... I’ve been wondering about it for a bit, and felt you might be the best person I know of to ask /)w(\
I’ve been curious-- do you know if there's a name for the sort of speech pattern that Minato uses? Since I haven't got much knowledge about Japanese myself, I'm unsure if that's even exactly the right term to use, but... it seems right? so we'll go with it lol
I know a portion of things is also just his vocabulary differing from other characters as well, but still, I wasn't sure if his usual way of speaking would also count as a different pattern in general or not-- and even if this isn't something you've got much of an answer on yourself, thanks so much for taking the time to reply to this, and for all the updates and such you post for everyone~💕
HI LOVELY HUMAN! ❤️💛💜
Oh my gosh, first of all, thank you for waiting so long for this super late response! ;A;
Hmm, honestly, I'm not 100% sure about this since Minato's word choices and grammar usage are a mix of masculine and feminine language (leaning more towards feminine though).
However, Tofugu has this amazing article on gendered language: Beyond the Binary: A Queer Take on Gendered Japanese
They mention Onee kotoba [オネエ言葉] which they define as:
オネエ言葉 is a stereotypical gendered speech style, similarly to 女言葉 and 男言葉. While it is associated with the queer community, it goes without saying that it is not "the way gay people talk." Rather, just like 女言葉 or 男言葉, it's a speech style that people of all different gender identities can use in their own speech.
The name of this speech style comes from a queer identity term, オネエ, which is short for お姉さん (older sister). オネエ is used to refer to people who speak オネエ言葉, or act in a flamboyant manner. Just as a quick disclaimer: オネエ is considered derogatory by some, so we recommend using appropriate caution with this word. Still, it is quite commonly used in the media, as well as in friendly banter between members of the queer community, much like English-speaking gay men might call each other "girl."
Another definition for Onee Kotoba is from Weblio (one of my favourite dictionaries, haha).
Their definition is:
女性であることを強調した、誇張された女性語。「わ」「よ」「なの」などをよく用いるといった特徴がある。オネエ言葉を使う人を「オネエキャラ」などと言うこともある。
"Exaggerated feminine language that emphasises being a woman. The use of (sentence enders such as) wa, yo, and nano (among others) is a typical trait of this language. Those who use onee kotoba are also referred to as 'onee kyara' (i.e. celebrities or personalities, usually male, taking on an effeminate role -- JapanDict)."
So after reading a few articles and rereading TG, I'd say Minato uses this language to a degree. He still definitely uses masculine pronouns and some sentences sounds more masculine, grammatically, but he definitely mixes his use of gendered language.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Picture (1): アンタ (anta->from anata). I find this usage is used more by women, esp. when women address their husbands/lovers. Tofugu also has a longer explanation for anata (linked below). だよ (dayo) is supposedly neutral, but I find it is generally leaning towards being more masculine. I've personally never heard my female Japanese coworkers use 'dayo' -- they'd say ですよ (desu yo), but I guess that's probably because we were in an office setting! Picture (2): use of pronoun 俺 Picture (3): だってば is a grammar point that seems to be used more by women. Pictures (4) & (5): Some feminine sentence enders that Minato uses. For picture 5, that's attributed to the lack of だ in the sentence.
Plus, OnoYuuki's portrayal as Minato in the CDs... he really makes Minato sound masculine in some scenes, and more feminine in others!
Again, thank you for waiting so long for me to respond! I hope this helps! 🥰💜
(And you are most welcome! I am glad you are also enjoying the takeaways~ 💜)

Hi! I’m quite new Meguru’s manga fan. I’m confused about something. Does Dear+ have added stories or next chapters that will be included in next manga? I want to be up to date with this great story and I want to know everything about characters. I would be grateful if you could answer my question.
Hi there! 😊
🎉🥳 WELCOME TO THE ADORKABLE WORLD OF SECRET XXX, THERAPY GAME, AND KAMISAMA NO UROKO! 🥳🎉
Dear+ is the Japanese magazine that Therapy Game/Therapy Game Restart is published in. The chapters are (usually) released monthly unless Hinohara-sensei announces that she's taking a break.
The most recent chapter (chapter 17) will be released in Dear+ on the 14th of January (i.e. tomorrow, JST time). The magazine is usually released around this time of the month.
Bonus stories/ Side stories/ extras are often released in the tankoubon/manga volumes. If you purchase these volumes in Japan at different retailers (like Animate, Toranoana, Comi Comi studios, etc.), they also often include "leaflets" or "loose papers" that have a cute, fun side story too. These are only bundled with the volume when it is first released and sadly run out too fast! ;A;.
I hope that helps! 💜

Hello again dear~, firstly I’d like to say that it’s really sucky that things have given you trouble with the last couple posts related to takeaways— e ne
but also, I’d like to ask, if you don’t mind— I know you’d mentioned Renta and a few other online book retailers/readers before... but, is it all that tricky to get things from there?
I’ve been considering looking into it recently, namely for the sake of getting new TGR chapter raws lol— but, as I’m not very versed in online dealings like this, thought I’d drop by here with this— /)w(\
Hi lovely human!!! ❤️💛
Ahhh, that was quite troublesome, but it's okay! It is what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was hoping I'd done enough to make it appropriate to post (because after reading this chapter, I wasn't too sure if I could make it work, haha), but I guess not 😬 But it's okay, we'll continue onwards!
And I don't mind at all, ask away! For me, Renta JP was really easy to sign up for. If you can read hiragana, katakana and some basic kanji, that would be a plus when signing up, but if you run the Google translate feature on chrome, I think it should be okay!
Also, they accept Paypal, so that's also a major plus for me! 🙌
Here's a (probably slightly outdated) guide on how to make an account on Renta!
For the most part, it looks really similar to when I signed up! But if you run into any issues, please feel free to ask me and I'll try my best to help! 😘
I'm not too sure about other online manga readers just yet, so if you guys know any other methods/websites that are easy to sign up for, please let me know! Currently looking into the animate reader so I can link my membership card, but that's a whole other issue for me since I used my old Japanese address for it ahah!
Hope that helps!

I've noticed something, but I'm not sure. When Onodera picks a hair tie from the set, she picks the one that's not gender-marked, it seems. Her disgusted face may be related to the gender coded figures too, right after she was kicked by the cat. Perhaps she's an AMAB person (something the cat may have noticed) who is non-binary and/or female aligned. Japanese words don't have gender inflexion (right? I might be wrong), but it seems people around Onodera address her as a woman and she goes nice with that. The moment her gender status is questioned (by the cat) she sulks in sadness. Onodera, babe, I really feel for you... (╥﹏╥)
(I'm sorry, I always write too much and run out of space. I still don't know the etiquette. I didn't want to mess your post comments.)
Hi again Heretohide!! 👋
Aw please don't be sorry! (Am also guilty of writing a bit too much ahha) Plus, I'm always happy to read and talk more about all things Therapy Game!! ❤️💛
I honestly didn't pick up on those hair ties at all. (Ngl, I was just surprised by the design, hahah!) So thanks for pointing that out! And me too, I'm getting the feeling, after reading this chapter, that Onodera might be an AMAB person too (oh gosh, I hope I'm using the term correctly. I had to google that, sorry for my ignorance!)
Ahhh, I don't think I'm the best person to ask about gendered inflections in Japanese, but hopefully I can help a bit! 😄
I wouldn't say Japanese is nearly as gendered when compared to French. The gendered language in Japanese is mainly found in spoken Japanese, especially in pronouns and sentence ending particles. Some Japanese words, phrases, and sentence constructions would be used more by males and others used more by females.
A good example is that scene in 君の名は。 (Your Name) when Mitsuha, in Taki's body, goes through the pronouns for "I" when speaking with his friends at lunch.
Quick recap of the pronouns in that scene: 私 わたし Watashi --- formal form of 'I' and gender neutral, but mainly used by females 私 わたくし Watakushi --- most formal and polite version of 'I' and gender neutral 僕 ぼく Boku --- Masculine 俺 おれ Ore --- Masculine
This is just a very small snippet of some of the gendered language! [There's a nice, short introduction in chapter 2 of the textbook An Integrate Approach to Intermediate Japanese. Was a great class discussion back in university!]
Hmm, up to this current chapter in Therapy Game Restart, the only people who have referred to Onodera as "her" are Minato and Itsuki in chapter 13. Most of the time, Shizuma, Tatsumi, and the staff at the clinic refer to Onodera as 院長 director, which is gender neutral. So I'm not too sure what they would call Onodera... but I think you might be onto something! They could possible see Onodera as a female, especially after that scene in chapter 9 where Shizuma tells Onodera that she's walked into the men's change room accidentally while he's changing.
It also doesn't help that Onodera uses "watashi" since that's gender neutral but commonly used by females. So we'll just have to wait for Sensei and see what happens next! 🤣
I hope that helped a little??
Thank you again for the lovely ask/message and that nice find about Onodera in the latest chapter! 🥰

Do you know if I could buy the previous issues of Dear+ on Renta? I can only find December's issue but I wanna see the previous months D:
Hi there! 😊
Renta only has 3 issues of Dear+ available at any given time (i.e. the most recent issue, and the previous 2 issues).
The ones they have right now are:
2022年2月号 - The February issue (released this month, January);
2022年1月号 - The January issue (released December 2021); and
2021年12月号 - The December issue (released November 2021)
Anything earlier than that won't be on their system, unfortunately. 🥲
I'm not too sure why they only have 3 issues at a time. 🤔 My only guesses would be probably due to licensing agreements, trying to deter piracy, or that the manga chapters will eventually be released as part of a volume (and in most cases, with a few updates images/panels).
I hope that helps though! 💜

Hello, where can you read the full chapters of Therapy Game Restart? (14,15,16 chap.)
Hi there! 😊
At the moment, you can only read these chapters in Japanese on digital online readers such as Renta JP and Animate Bookstores online (and some others too), or in the physical Dear+ magazines.
SuBLime has only released volume 1 of Therapy Game Restart, and that's the only official English source I know, and volume 1 only has 5 chapters (and 2 bonus chapters) in it.
(I don't know what's happening in the scanlation world in case that's what you were asking about... 😖😖)
Hope that helps! 💜

Hello! I just read your Therapy Game Restart Chapters 9-13! Thank you so much for doing those posts T_T Can I know if there is a site where I can read the English translations of Chapters 9-13? I've been searching for a long time but to no avail :'(
Hi Anon,
Aww, you're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the summaries! 😊
Unfortunately, I do not know where you'd be able to read these chapters, sorry! The first official English volume of Therapy Game Restart (from SuBLime) comes out later this year, so I'm not too sure how long it'll be until they release volume 2 in English! 🤔

Hi! I was just wondering if the Dear+ subscription for TGR is the same as the TGR volume to be released on December? I mean with recent chapters or only until a certain chapter? 😅 I preordered the Kindle ver and was wondering if I should have just gotten the Dear+. Thanks for answering if ever! Have a great day ^^
Hi there!! ☺️
Ah, the TGR volume coming out in December (the English volume, I assume? 🤔) will be quite behind the recent chapters released in the Dear+ magazines.
I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think the first TGR volume has the first 6/7/8 chapters, and Dear+ just published chapter 16 last Friday!
If you decide to get the Dear+ magazine digitally, it'll be released about 3-4 weeks after the physical magazine release.
Hope that helps! And you're most welcome!
(I love your name btw, HuaLian for life 😍😍)
Hope you have a great day too! 💜

Hi Amaya chan! If you don’t mind me asking, where did you read ch 11-present Therapy game restart?:< I have been searching it online but I can’t find any, your takeaways are God sent<3!! But I still wanna read it, can you link us where do you read it? Or if any chance you buy it, can you also link where can we buy it? Cause all I can find is the 1st volume (though it is better online website cause dollar or yen is really expensive😭 (if converted to my currency :( )
Hi there!! 😊
Aww glad you're enjoying the takeaways as well!
I actually buy the Dear+ magazines every month to read Therapy Game Restart in Japanese. If you'd like to purchase it, I order mine from CDJapan! The website is easy to use, they ship to a lot of countries, and the shipping cost isn't too bad, especially if you order other books, manga, cds etc.
Not too sure where else you'd be able to read the latest chapters in Japanese or English, sorry. 🤔
Hope that helps! 💜
