I'm continually reminded of how young Ara really is in the grand scheme of things. Of course she's young by mortal standards. Especially in the presence of long-lived mer. But it really hits when I consider how out of place she is among immortals ; particularly the Daedric Prince's & other lesser daedra / similar entities. Ara's lifetime is a speck. She's little more than a screaming & crying infant in comparison. Her knowledge is sparse, she lacks experience in every aspect of life. Ara is blissfully unaware of even her own God's dealings & broader history ; the very same Madgod she's meant to, & does, become. I like to think He preferred it this way. It's symbolic of a true rebirth. Things that had become mundane to the Old Madgod over the ages, would be new & exciting for the Young Madgod! Old haunts & familiar faces. Rivalries & histories. Everything that had been commonplace or expected ... it can all be experienced anew through Ara. It's a difficult adjustment, especially the first few years, but Ara faces it all with as much grace & joy as one could hope to muster in her predicament.
