i haven’t figured out her ons route after a certain point, but i’m gonna give a long ass run down of her growing up in that route along with extra noted information on the side because it’s important to certain events. i think i really made this just to get what i wrote down on the blog and adjust information later. under the read more.   <3

+ chizuha isn’t from the original ons universe ( ig you can call it that? ). the universe or timeline of the series, she’s not originally from either of those. she’s actually from another universe but hinaki ( another character that’s not gonna be really important until she finds out she’s a timeline bride ) took her from that universe because it was already beginning to implode on itself, mostly because of the plane insurgency pirates that were already there and aware that chizuha was a pre - aware timeline bride. so yea, hinaki took her from that universe to the one she brought chizuha to. because hinaki’s a timeline bride, she’s able to differentiate if chizuha COULD be given to the people she found or if chizuha would disrupt their presences/basically if chizuha could be an active family member ( AND chizuha biologically could be their child, because that’s where hinaki’s focus was in finding her a home ).

+ hinaki brought her to the ise clan’s main house. she explained who she was, what she was, why she was there, and who chizuha was. after a long discussion with explanation and somewhat proof, there was legitimacy found in what hinaki was saying to them. the ise clan’s highest family took chizuha in, considering their own child had died and the clan didn’t know, but chizuha looked like that child, so who would say she wasn’t their child? in addition to that, after testing, they had found chizuha DID have a biological daughter’s relation to them ( the few others who knew of her true origins hated her for this, for how easily she could disguise as one of them ). as well as that, her original name had strangely matched how they would have had to name her once they took over guardianship of her; they wondered if this was a trick, so there was a very close monitoring of chizuha for her first years ( even if many who monitored her didn’t know the real reason why ).

+ hinaki was never seen after the single visit she made, and chizuha was an official part of the clan. the conditions of her staying were that they do not tell her of the circumstances of how she came to be there. they could only tell her she was their biological daughter ( and they couldn’t tell her about her being a timeline bride, either, unless they wanted her to be made aware of her timeline bride presence ). with being the heir of the ise clan, that came with expectations and lessons and consequences etc. many members of the ise clan did not enjoy her presence, but they sucked up to her in her parents’ presences, which chizuha did not tolerate ( also, note: this is where stuff pertaining to her emotional development and delayed response came from ).

+ at the age of 6, in the midst of daily training and lessons, she began realizing that the oda family was strangely much more associated with them than before. they came much more often with more than tense discussions that usually disrupted the ise home. to those who observed the visits that were happening, the ise were very obviously suspicious of the oda, and her parents seemed hostile in the visits the oda would take to their home. in a short time, chizuha took note of the fact that the other family seems to hold something over her family’s head. she hadn’t cared much; she didn’t have much an attachment to anyone there --- she wasn’t permitted to have them. shortly after she noticed these things, she was given to the oda.

+ she was given to the oda as a means to alleviate tense relations, since she has value as the heir of her clan. guardianship was transferred under the oda, and she worked much harder on studies and training, if only because her family didn’t want the oda to think little of them. this was around the time she met nobuki and they basically... became friends? and as time went on, they became closer friends and eventually best friends. they didn’t really have anyone else, though, except for nobuki’s older brother nobunaga, who was also the active heir of the oda. he was fond of his brother ( which isn’t very obvious to people who don’t know them ), so he became the least bit fond of chizuha with her impact there.

+ nobuki and chizuha are extremely talented in all aspects ( essentially, they were prodigies under the oda, but they also ranked lower than many there ), but nobuki is the black sheep child of the oda. chizuha is from a clan who the oda considered disgraceful because of their position and how easily they gave up their heir. in the oda’s eyes, the ise were inferior to them, so chizuha was also inferior to them. nobunaga, who was their superior, ensured the continue of their studies and learning and conditioning them to be under him. by the time chizuha was 10, she was already doing tasks with nobuki that included communicating information they should have no way to get, but they find a way to take it and give the information to nobunaga. while they did operate under nobunaga, they were not open to any else under the oda without nobunaga’s permission and instruction. and while they did operate under the heir, they also operated under their own desires. they found information they shouldn’t have, and when it intrigues them to look further. along with that, information of themselves and their own clans fall under that category of interest. this is when everything becomes more complicated for them, especially when they look into the ise clan’s fall.

+ OKAY, REWIND. after a year of chizuha being under the guardianship of the oda, the ise clan fell. the reason ( the front ): after chizuha left, inner conflict began brewing within the family. they “pride” of their clan had so easily been given to the oda, so the inner conflict was between those who approved of kissing up to the oda vs those who were angry at the higher ups decisions to do so, making them look much weaker. the oda considered this conflict unnecessary and cut off association from the ise clan, withdrawing resources and such offered from their connection. chizuha wasn’t sent back, but she herself had already cut off her own communication to the clan ( the real reason: the inner conflict was because of chizuha’s leave, but it was because the higher ups considered her too valuable to just be given to the oda, which nobunaga found out through his connections was because of what chizuha was. the real reason why the oda kept her was because nobunaga wanted to see eventual proof of the information he found from those in the ise clan. because they didn’t want anyone one else getting the information they had, the oda had the rest of the ise disposed of. she was kept as an eventual source of vital information and because she hadn’t used up her usefulness to him ). after her family had fallen, the alienation both she and nobuki experience had gotten worse.

+ as i was saying, when chizuha had been 10, they started digging into a lot of information they shouldn’t have known. eventually, they came upon the demise of the ise clan. this led to nobuki finding out things he couldn’t let chizuha know about, which led to nobuki confronting nobunaga about this. this is when nobunaga knew he couldn’t let nobuki be, especially when he threatened to leave with chizuha when he found out nobunaga’s future intentions. before nobuki could formally tell her, they were summoned by their operations boss. he told the both of them that it was either nobuki or chizuha who was gonna leave alive, and nobuki chose chizuha to live on ( for multiple reasons ); nobunaga told chizuha to do the honors --- she refused this. she refused to go through with what nobunaga had ordered, which prompted nobuki to try to get her to do it; it would have been better to be killed by her than his brother for selfish reasons. she still refused, so nobunaga had killed him himself, all while scolding her for her disobedience: “not only did you disobey me, but you refused to fulfill his last wishes. his blood is on my hands because of your cowardly actions; his blood is on your hands as well.”

+ she continued to work on her studies and training and her informant responsibilities for nobunaga, but these were much harder as nobunaga began putting much a bigger weight on her to keep her busy. she continued to excel at everything given to her, and she began withholding more information from him, which he noticed. the first school she’d ever attended outside of the oda clan’s home was high school.

+ she didn’t attend the high school out of the kindness of nobunaga’s heart. being at the compound made it much easier for unattainable information of things he’d rather keep away from her to be accessible, so he sent her to this high school to restrain her. in addition to that, the high school is specifically targeted to those who are sent to attend there because of issues that stand within their clans, meaning it was a school for problem children. nobunaga wouldn’t necessarily call chizuha a problem child, but her obedience had been slipping and so had her willingness to listen to his instruction.

+ this school was also meant to much so improve these problem children in all subjects and abilities, so nobunaga hadn’t thought it too terrible to send her there ( she could also gain allies for him ). oda allies as well as rivals attended the school, but chizuha had only been known as an oda ally, not as someone who directly worked under nobunaga. this was something she wanted to keep from others finding out. it wouldn’t do her any good to flaunt her connections, especially as she didn’t find herself very fond of the connection. nonetheless, she very much excelled, in both education and technique ( as the school was very much focused on fighting and discipline ), but she wasn’t one to unnecessarily use what she didn’t find vital to do so. though, there were times, out of the school’s supervision that some sought her out as direct, friendly competition.
