i’m so nervous that max’s manner of speaking comes off as demeaning or playing into stereotypes for europeans who speak english as a second language.

i find accents so endearing, and also how english can have different “flavors” depending on the esler speaking it. with him being so young i see it as a delightful opportunity bc of how isolated he is and how much practice he doesn’t get with english, but i’m afraid that it implies a weakness on his part—which many eslers don't have with english in most cases—or makes him sound silly 😭
