My thoughts on Sanji x Pudding

It's quite old but I see a lot of people shipping Sanji and Pudding and I just want to share my thoughts on the matter. I'm not here to bash anyone I just want to show my reasoning as to why I think this way. I'll keep it as brief as possible. So let's start.

1. Pudding was literally planning on killing Sanji and his nakamas.

Just because she 'changed' after seeing the unexpected side of Sanji that does not excuse her for what she did and was originally planning. Sanji is very kind towards females but there's a difference between being kind and being in love with one. Even after all the initial hate he got from Pudding he was still able to maintain his kind side towards her. That also explains why he wasn't going full perverted mode on Pudding when they were together. Just think for a second if you were in Sanjis shoes and the only little hope of happiness also betrays you right when you were expecting to have a good time how would've you reacted? Personally I would've probably hated Pudding for the rest of my life. It only really seems fine coz it's Sanji and he's just kind towards all females. But realistically speaking there's no way in hell Sanji's in love with her. In short, Pudding does not deserve Sanji.

2. Pudding took away the kissing memory that she had with Sanji.

I actually respected Pudding after she did this mainly because I think kissing him was a bit selfish of her and was taking full advantage of Sanji's kind side. She knew that Sanji was just a very kind person and that was the only reason keeping him from hating her. This might be biased but she saw Sanji's real happiness when he was smiling whilst bride carrying Nami. She also heard loud and clear Sanji literally confessing his love to Nami "I love you too Nami-San!!" So seeing all of this she knew that she'd just create more dilemma for Sanji (after all he has gone through) which was the last thing she wanted to do. But she still proceeds with the kiss as he "last request" because she truly loved him and was not able to control herself knowing that they'd part ways. After doing so, she said goodbye and took away that moment from Sanji because of course if she hadn't = more dilemma for Sanji. She cried right after he left which just proves that her love for Sanji and how hard it was for her for him leave even though they only spent very little time together. Even though it was short it was probably the best and worst day of her life. She saw the only person who didn't find her as a monster after all the years of hatred for that person to finally arrive and to just leave right away. To make matter worse, she rejected her true self and just submitted to the fact she was a monster not long ago just for Sanji to completely call her third eye as beautiful and accept her for who she is. It's truly tragic for Pudding side but all I can say is you reap what you sow. Regardless of how heartbreaking it may be the fact that she erased it still stands though and for that reason it basically never happened to Sanji side. For that reason, even if they meet again in the distant future he would just find Pudding possibly attractive but with no romantic feelings. By that time, I'm positive that Sanji's just going to become even more attached to Nami.

Perhaps I lied by saying I was gonna make it brief I really just wanted to show my thoughts. I think the reason most people ship them is because Pudding actually loved Sanji. However, I don't think Sanji will ever love her romantically after all she did. He definitely forgave and was kind enough show care for her but I wouldn't say love her. You can argue the same with SaNami by saying Nami does not have any romantic feelings for Sanji which could be the case but she definitely cares for him (Zou and WCI highlighted this). Sanji on the other hand, truly loves Nami I mean he basically proposed to Nami right when he meet her 😂.

Some people don't like this ship because Sanji seems to act the same way towards any female but there's just too many moments that show us that Nami is truly part of his dreams + all blue (one piece is all about reaching your dreams). I love Sanji and I just want the best for him lmao. I truly believe that it's a timely thing and Nami will one day see how special she is to Sanji.
