okay i’d like some feedback on ideas i have for my p5 mermaid au—mainly just who is and isn’t a mermaid. here’s the list i have so far:

mermaids: joker, ann, morgana, haru, and technically akechi

humans: ryuji, futaba, sojiro, makoto, yusuke, and shiho

i’m debating on if i should keep mona as a cat that can somehow talk (mermaids exist why not) or have him be a silly little mermaid—like a black and white chromis.

same for yusuke. i like the idea of him staying human in this au and painting his mermaid friends constantly, because they’re an infinite pool of beauty and inspiration. at the same time, however, i can totally see him being a mermaid and being absolutely awestruck by humans and their way of life. (woah p3p ref)

also debating on what sumire would be. i’m leaning towards human but i also have ideas for her being a mermaid.

other than those few, i’m pretty set on keeping everyone else the same. someone on ao3 did mention the possibility of futaba being a little octopus, so i might draw that!
