@amiiboacid Actually, Bigfoot is a really US-centric cryptid. Sure, if you ask any American what the most iconic cryptid is, they'll probably say Bigfoot. If you ask anyone from any other country with the exception of maybe Canada, they will say a cryptid that is native to their country. Here's the thing, though, if you ask someone to name a cryptid that isn't from their country, they'll probably say Nessie. That famous 1930s picture of Nessie was international news at the time and has kept Nessie in pop culture ever since due to being the first well-known "photographic evidence" of a cryptid. Bigfoot really hasn't had anything to bring him to the international spotlight. Also just from an aesthetic perspective, if someone knew nothing about either, they would probably choose Nessie because Nessie is effectively a dinosaur and Bigfoot is just a big hairy guy

Most don't have a dinosaur in a lake #also also; there a literally two reoccurring Mario side characters that are references to Nessie #there ain't anything like that for bigfoot #regardless; this is all a moot point since Aliens won both the votes and the sneak peek #which are the only two results that are meaningfully affected by team count #there also isn't a ton of data on this kind of stuff; unfortunately #but I would bet my bottom dollar that Nessie is known more internationally
