yknow i try to not actively hope for specific things for deltarune’s story because who KNOWS wtf toby’s plans are for that but if there’s one thing i genuinely really really hope for its that papyrus gets to be treated as an actual serious character instead of just comic relief or whatever

#trousled rambles #deltarune #papyrus #like even if hes not the knight just let him have some development i am BEGGINg #idk i was just thinkin abt how like. outside of the geno route undertale doesn't actually really have any serious scenes with him #almost every character has a scene where they talk to frisk about serious things and they're in almost every route #the only exception i can think is that u dont get undyne's Chat if u cant hang out with her but she still gets the geno route to be serious #papyrus has . a pretty short scene in the geno route that's mostly just overlooked for fanon sans angst. and thats it #you could argue the bit leading up to his fight and him just wanting a friend is more serious but its still comedic imo #i get he's a goofy character but if sans can have his whole Thing in undertale i think papyrus deserves to have a Thing in deltarune yknow #i really love him as a character but sometimes i really wish that he was written with a bit more development n dimension
