You know I've kinda given Bendisboot Dawny too much of a pass as someone who has indigenous heritage/black, I'm all too used to characters that represent me to be huge massive stereotypes so I don’t bother challenging it because I’m too tired of the amount there is to want it even try. I tolerated Sook’s design of her and claimed to others that it didn’t offend me, but how Bendis writes her is so clearly infantilizing and demeaning towards women of color it’s actually crazy to me that this is being published by modern DC unvetted.
